I am so very disappointed with Streets Golden Gaytime. So sickly sweet and mushy. I had one ice-cream and threw the other 3 ice-creams in the bin. There was no way I could eat another. Yuk! Plant based Golden Gaytime is true to original – We have now been through 4 packets of the plant based golden gaytime ice creams over the past month and they are delicious. My partner, our two young daughters and I see no difference in flavour or texture between these and the dairy version of these ice creams. Perfect Flavour and Texture – I purchased a pack of Golden Gaytimes from Coles in the last week. This is the best they've been in years. The caramel flavour centre has always been good though the biscuit crumb coating used to be soggy. Don't buy, not even at 1/2 price – Possibly the worst tub of ice cream I've ever had. yellow and white - not even distinguishable flavours. And the texture? It's so fluffy, in a 'we saved a heap of money' because half of the ice cream is literally air.

Utterly disappointed – Had high hopes for this but was sadly disappointed. The ice cream was mousse like in texture & the crumbs on the outside were soggy!!! What a waste of money! creamy but now they just taste unnatural and inferior. The ice cream has a strange airy and fatty texture that leaves a strange taste in my mouth, and the flavours seem somehow muted, apart from the sugar. I ended up throwing them in the bin because I value my health. I simply don't understand why Streets would change something that worked. Bottom line is that I don't enjoy them anymore so I won't be purchasing them again. A shame.

Dishonest advertising, but hey, who cares – Virtually no choc on this 'chocolate dipped' treat. They still sell em. This review, and yours, doesn't mean anything. it's a data point. To hurt an uncaring, gouging corp like this? Google Unilever and buy NONE of their products. That's it. That's all they care about. When the 'data points' ie your disgust, become fiscally problematic.

New version tastes watery and too sweet – Golden Gaytimes were once my favourite. It use to be creamy and caramel like. Now it has no much sugar, too much ice and is not creamy at all. Luckily Honeycomb Magnums hits the spot, they remind me of the old Gaytimes.  Show details

What Happened? – I was very surprised and disappointed with the new version. I didn't know Golden Gaytimes were going to be changed. They have been one of my favourite icecreams for many years (I am in my sixties). I probably won't buy them again. It was like an icy pole version. Failed – The ‘new’ gay time ice cream is terrible. Cheap version of a previously really good ice cream, would not buy again or recommend. As always profits come first, finding a way to make it cheaper rather than leave it the same.  Show details

Golden Gaytime krispy kreme was awful – We purchased the Golden Gaytime Krispy Kreme flavour and it was a real disappointment all around. The ice cream did not taste like vanilla but more like ice. lt was soggy and lacked chocolate flavour. Show details

Gaytime Sanga disgusting – I agree with many other posters here the Golden Gaytime Sanga is the worst icecream I have eaten in Australia. Not just nothing like a proper Gaytime but really poor quality, a horrible taste and chemical after taste. Also looks nothing like the picture on the box. Show details
