Disappointing – We used to buy these all the time. Loved them. Not any more. The quality has changed. The ice cream is smaller, the chocolate thinner and what almonds? Lucky to find three or four slithers of almond.

Recipe change has removed all flavour. Just slimy fat feel left. Not a treat at all – Recipe change = vanilla flavour deleted, leaving only weird cream flavour like eating frozen fat. Gross. Even the kids hated them - no one is touching the leftover ones. The (depleted) almonds cant even save this. Also these have shrunk a lot and are tiny now - closer to mini magnums. Can't imagine what the minis look like now! Apart from the… Read more

outrageous shrinkage, it's the lack of flavour that makes the whole thing just not worth one single bite. Avoid!

This is shocking – I was shocked at how much magnums have shrunk and the little amount of almond slithers. For the price we should be getting a whole lot more or even better go back to the original size and the original amount of almonds. Show details

Dangerous Foreign Bodies in My Magnum – Ripped into my reduced size Almond Magnum that I paid nearly $10 for a box of 4 for at Wollies and got more than I expected. Instead of just almond slithers in the chocolate I got slithers of sharp, dangerous sized, sticks that fortunately I got in mine, but not in my grandchildren’s. If they had got my Magnum it would have been a dangerous choke… Read more

hazard as well as potentially causing lacerations to their throats. I rang the Streets complaints department, unfortunately it was after hours, left my phone number and the problem I’d experienced. I guess Streets complaints department personnel didn’t see it as a problem, as they failed to return my call. So here’s a little social media payback for the crap ice cream, the failure to care and the horrible customer service.

Can't tell difference from original magnums – Great tasting product! I recently tried the cornette dairy free and was not a fan but with these ones they honestly taste just like the original. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a vegan snack.

Different creaminess between packs and individuals? – I have been eating the Magnum Almond for years. It had always been creamy and indulgent. I always buy the pack of 4. Around a year ago I started to feel their ice cream isn't as creamy as usual and I happened to buy an individual one from a convenient and it was the taste and texture I am used to! I then have been eating the almond ice cream from… Read more

I conclude they might have changed the recipe for only the packs.

I wonder whether anyone has the same feeling?

Very disappointed in the ice creams i used to love – Why did you have to change a great ice cream?????? The chocolate is thin, i can count on 1 hand the amount of so called slivered almonds and they have become very small. I had i tonight with not 1 almond. I will buy no more. Show details

Corporate greed has destroyed a once great product – What happened to magnum almond ? I bought a box for the last time today. Not only are they more and more expensive (3.90 GBP compared to 2.80GBP for a box of 3 in 2017), the chocolate is way, way thinner, the size has shrunk to a ridiculous level, and there was almost no almonds to be seen on the lollies. Frankly embarrassing to share with my… Read more

guests. Corporate greed is destroying the quality of a once beloved treat. It used to be a nicely sized ice cream (120ml), with a thick, luxurious layer of chocolate and cracking, nicely sized pieces of roasted almond. It was a treat within a treat. All of that has gone to make room for a small, ridiculously sized lolly (forget the Magnum, they should be renamed Midget), with a chocolate that tastes nothing like it used to, so very thing you won't notice it was there, and exactly 3 pieces of almonds tossed like an after thought on there. So basically, the ice cream is less good, with a smaller, lesser quality product and we are to pay *more*. Sure. Certainly not.

Worst Magnum ever! – Tonight I was embarrassed to share with my guests the worst Magnum ever. More than twelve months ago I wrote a review on my disappointment on the deteriorating quality of Magnum Almond- in size, flavour, thickness of chocolate, texture of ice cream . Its got worse! The chocolate coating had no flavour- tasted like copha, was thinnest its ever… Read more

been, the ice- cream was icey not creamy at all, and the few nuts on the coating were not the slivered almonds of past but small pieces like crushed nuts- and I could count them on both hands. My family has agreed- last Magnum purchase ever- plenty other better options out there- once a firm favourite designated to LAST!

Tiny and cheap – Shrinking in size, poor quality chocolate and poor quality ice cream. The ice cream is icy and the chocolate is flavorless. These were my favorite treat before bed, but now they belong in the trash! Show details

Decline in size & quality – Remember the full, slightly rounded, oblong shape of an almond magnum? Delicious creamy vanilla ice cream covered in a thick layer of qaulity chocolate embedded with a generous coating of slivered almonds? (Yes, ‘slivered’ almonds!) Sadly, the almond magnum of today has lost most of its original qualities. Far smaller, thin and shapeless, the… Read more

ice-cream is not as rich, the chocolate coating is comparativley meager and most devestatlingly, it is only sparsely dotted with a few of almond chips (it looks nothing like the photo shown above) So disappointing!!!

Streamlined Magnum Icecreams – Very disappointed with the ever shrinking Almond Magnum icecreams. Purchased a pack of 4 ‘regular sized’ from shop only to discover this batch is more streamlined than a similar pack purchased last week from same outlet. Almond slivers on chocolate coating were noticeably meagre as well as product overall very salty to the extent that it drowned out any hint of a chocolate taste. I won’t be purchasing any more.

Tasty – Streets Magnum Almond is a very tasty, creamy and delicious ice cream, though over the years it has somehow gotten smaller in size but the flavour is still very delicious. I love it; it's been one of my favourite for a long time.

One of few that is still good – over the years i feel that Streets ice creams have dropped in quality but I must say the Magnum still gets a big tick from me. Yes the ice cream tends to melt a little faster after cracking the chocolate especially if you take your time indulging but I usually finish within a few minutes so...No dirty thoughts please

The almonds have disappeared – My magnum almond today was terrible. No almond pieces worth mentioning. Possibly 3-4 crumbs on each side. Sad about the decline in quality. If you want to pay more dollars for a decent product these days, where do you go?

Not bad, Not the best – I love the yummychocolate coating but everything that is tasty and scrumptious only stays for the cover and not what is inside as the vanila filling tastes like cheap softserve ice cream peddled in the streets. There's no hint of milk either so it's probably some chemicals made to resemble milk and it is overpowered by the sweetness to mask it… Read more

Poor Quality Ice Cream – These things used to be one of the most decadent things you could buy but not for a long time now. The chocolate was great, the almonds were great and most importantly, the ice cream was even better. It was dense and lasted in your mouth (and on the stick) for ages. Now you have to eat it quickly before the ice cream melts away. … Read more

Unfortunately Streets (and for that matter, all manufacturers) make and sell 2nd rate ice cream. Air is whipped into ice cream and it's no where near as dense as it was. It costs less to make.

2nd rate ice cream has been around for so long now most of us never knew or simply don't remember what good quality ice cream actually was.

We are duped by all the fancy new flavours they keep bringing out.

No thanks Streets.

How to lose good customers – I have always bought these to enjoy, without considering price... now if it wasn't for the so called chocolate cover which falls off when you bite, it would flow like a soft watery milky mess... One bite and the covering falls off and it becomes a mess in your hands. If you can't produce for a price... increase the price, but don't cheat on quality. It is not "Ice cream". Fred M.

Declining Quality – This was the best ice cream nice and creamy now its just a cheap quality and no creamy taste at all just plain water...Waste of money too bad the company is not interested in looking after their loyal customers like us...Who would purchase a box every week if not 2 weekly..Streets has a lot to answer for...

For pleasure seeker – I love Magnum Almond. It seemed that I already tasted all the flavors of Magnum but I most love the almonds. misleading advertising – Streets are a company owned by Unilever. Unilever is not an Australian company and is listed on the London stock exchange.Although i consider their product to be one of the best, they condone misleading advertising eg a 7 eleven store in Penrith was advertising Streets ice cream "any two for $6" and showed about 10 diagrams of ice cream products.… Read more

However the advertising should read "any of these two for $6" because when you got to the register the price had escalated to $8.20 Cant remember the exact price, but I queried the counter guy and he couldnt explain the disparity. I emailed Streets about the situation and they say its up to the franchisee how they advertise even though Streets supply the advertising material. So unless you are really prepared to pay for a "convenience" $4.20 for a magnum, outrageous really, then maybe visit a supermarket like Aldi and get 4 ice creams of a similar price and quality for the price on one magnum. good product over priced poor and misleading advertising

Declining Quality – These were the best with blue ribbon ice cream inside ,and great chocolate outside and plenty of almond. Now 3 pieces of almond and shoddy ice cream inside, coles classics are now my choice. I would like to know who makes coles classic ice creams as they deserve to be praised.

Ruined due to cheap ice cream filling – Magnum used to be awesome - rich, heavy, creamy ice cream inside a coating the same. Now it's a chocolate coated ice cream. It used to take ages to eat, because the ice cream didn't melt, you had to actually eat it. Now, it disappears as soon as it enters your mouth. Dissolved in a second. Shame the ice cream is aerated – I used to love Magnum ice blocks when they first came out but they haven't been the same since they started aerating their ice cream - yuk! Good – This is a really nice ice cream to sit back and enjoy. I don't buy it unless it's on special because it is a bit expensive. It is really creamy and the chocolate is really crunchy and tasty. something rich and tasty, this is a great one to try and the almonds give it a great nutty taste. This is such a rich and tasty ice cream treat. I could eat more than one if it wasnt for the high kilojoule content. Its really got a great Magnum chocolate crunch when you bite into the crispy chocolate outer layer. The almonds only add to the pleasure. If there was a less kilojoule, lighter version that would be nice, even if it didn't taste as great as this one.

I love it! – I just love Magnum Almond. The taste of real almonds combined with the chocolate on the outside. Inside you got the ice cream. The combination of both makes it so special. Normally one Magnum ALmond is not enough and I could easily eat two. There are two problems with this: First it does not do my hips any good and second Magnum is not cheap.… Read more

Generally you can buy them everywhere and the price difference is minimal. Magnum ice cream is a premium ice cream and you pay more for it. For me it is now more a treat than anything else. You get it cheaper if you buy multi packs but the problem is once in the freezer it does not stay there, it is eaten quiet quickly.
