Love it No problems – Had my washing machine coming up 2 years has not missed a beat this is the second simpson now and considering I worked for Fisher & Paykel worked for Harveys sold all brands I have had problems with all others except the eurpoeans and this one. SWEAR BY IT - who would have though good old simpson, I only went to it after my smart drive F&P did its motor in 1 week after the warranty went and they are also known for circuit board problems in the industry. Recomend Simpson if your after a good cheap reliable washer with good backup service, dont buy the extended warranty its a rort. cheers
Excellent – This machine is a breeze to use and is the work horse of domestic washing machines, no lint problems, no circuit board problems (surge protector a must in Darwin), why don't choice magazine give these Simpson guys more credit, they glorify Fisher Paykel which aren't recommended up here in Darwin because of the humidity and after sales service. Well I really wanted to buy a fisher paykel GW712 $849) for something different and try them out for a change, but all the sale guys and gals said Simpson has got quicker after sales service. The Simpson is the first one I looked at and then my journey led me back to it again, so I bought it for $799 at Betta Electrical(NT 0830), they said because it was the catalogue price they couldn't do a cash deal (what a load of smelly washing), Good Guys, Harvey Norman always go cheaper than the advertised catalogue price (oh well). It doesn't matter I love it, yeah go for it, if you don't have water shortage problems in your area (gotta love the NT) > the stainless steel bowl
> user friendly control panel
> easy installation
> strong sturdy lid, not flimsy
> plenty of wash choices
> plenty of room
> very quiet with a beep when finished (not the loud clack I got used too with my old simpson)
and of course the brand newness > nothing at the moment, its all good
> more energy stars would be better (its got 2)

I bought this machine with the 950 capacity, 6 months ago. Pros: as comment from chexus, reliable and easy to use. Top loader means I can add more clothes if I need to.
Cons: Only that it takes a much longer time for the indicated wash than it should but I don't have to babysit it so I'm not worried. Wash indicator print is rubbing off a bit but other than that, no complaints.
This is my second Simpson washer. Would buy again.
