A very efficient cost saving small steam press for small businesses rewuiring, pillowcases and tabl – It is a good machine and prices vary substantially for the same press. There is no back up and actually accessing one of these here is quite difficult. There is no service available at all, fortunately, we have had few problems and are on our third press. Cheaper to buy accessories, such as new pressure pads from the UK.

The worst ever !!! – After 1 year of light work the steam press fell apart. It kept shooting steam onto my hands and burning them, the pump will not stop running and the paint is peeling off. Singer have no interest in this faulty appliance. It is heavy, cumbersome and now useless. Being the more expensive option, I had hoped that I could expect more from a Singer appliance. Nothing Very Expensive. Zero warranty service. After 12 months, the appliance is now rendered as rubbish.

Really great iron – Honestly, once you get used to it (took me a few goes), you'll never go back to a traditional iron again. This machine saves me so much time every week. There are 6 of us in our house and I used to spend hours every week ironing; now it's just so quick and easy that I'll never go back. Truly, they're that good! :-) Note that I didn't buy the optional stand; I just placed mine on a sturdy table. Speed of ironing; ease of use.Quality is great too! Not a biggie, but the ironing board cover that came with the machine wore out after about 10 months. Replacement is going to cost me $25.

Just a follow-on from this. My iron is still going strong, and I love it more than ever! :-)

It's still going strong. Covers are best bought from eBay (about $20-$25 each).

Still going strong. And still the best iron I've ever had!

Excellent but not perfect – I previously owned a Eurolab press bought for under $200 - it was great and lasted abour 5 years, being used once or twice every week for ironing a LOT of linen for my hospitality business. (It's probably fixable, being an electrical short.) No cheaper models were available online when I bought the Singer ESP2, so necessity made me reluctantly buy the much dearer appliance. I am not sorry! It is SO much better than the cheap steam press - better heat, better steam and much quieter and smoother to use. It really does an awesome job.

There is one major design flaw, however, in that the extra burst of steam buttons are located too close to the middle of the handle. To avoid them you must place your hand very front on, which is an unnatural position for steam ironing. It is too easy to accidentally bump the button with the side of your hand, releasing a jet of steam. This is quite alarming when you're not expecting it, and possibly even dangerous. It's also not good for the press, since you are NOT supposed to let out steam bursts when the lid is down. (The Eurolab's buttons are ideally situated at the SIDE of the handle, for pressing with either thumb.)

Don't bother to buy the $99 stand - it's very sturdy, but on my floor - a normal floor - it really isn't stable enough for me to feel comfortable using it. The whole shebang rocks slightly when you are lifting the handle up and down. I have stuck it in the cupboard and am back to using my press on a solid table. It's also difficult to collapse, so unless you want that hassle, or to leave it up all the time (it requires quite a large floor area) it's honestly not worth it - just a waste of $99 IMO. Excellent ironing and steam power, quiet and efficient, with a very smooth up/down action. Bad design - poor location of "extra burst of steam" buttons; optional stand is unstable.
