I love being a Smile member because of the savings. Dental work is expensive & I couldn't have afforded some of the periodontal work I've had done, if it wasn't for Smile.

I've been a Smile member and recently renewed my cover. During the renewal process, Smile presented me with an offer for 6 months free. I accepted the offer and the website displayed confirmation that the six months had been added to my account. I retained screenshots of both the offer and the confirmation. The six months never appeared on my… Read more

account, so I contacted Smile.

Initially, I was told it was a system error and that they couldn't honour the offer, with three months offered as "goodwill". I queried this and asked where the restriction came from. Smile subsequently explained that the offer was supposedly intended to be available only once per cover. However, when I asked them to provide the promotional terms or conditions that communicated this restriction to customers, they were unable to do so.

Their final position was essentially that the offer was "intended" to be one-time only, but that this condition wasn't part of their standard Terms of Use. They acknowledged that the offer was incorrectly displayed to me and that it appeared to have been successfully applied. I don't have an issue with a company making a genuine website error.

What I find disappointing is the way the issue was handled afterwards. I accepted an offer that was presented to me, received confirmation that it had been applied, and then was told after the fact that an internal restriction, which apparently wasn't disclosed to me, meant the offer didn't actually apply. The repeated offer of three months as a "goodwill gesture" doesn't really address the underlying issue.

After this experience, I've decided that I no longer want to be a customer of Smile. The way a company handles a mistake says a lot about the company, and unfortunately this experience has left me with very little confidence in Smile.

I would recommend anyone considering membership to carefully review the terms of any promotion and take screenshots of offers and confirmations.

Dissatisfied with Smile dentist so decided not to renew subscription. Attempted to delete expired credit card to avoid next payment - not possible. after raising a bank dispute and the issue with Smile was my subscription cancelled and $$ refunded. This is a word of caution, do not take it for granted that an expired credit card cannot still be billed.

I've been a member now for many years, swapping between Family and Single Memberships, as needed. I've renewed another year and this time I added my family back onto my membership, as I was not aware my children up to the age of 24 can be included!! That's amazing. My new dentist showed me the price difference before going ahead with any… Read more

Who doesnt want extra savings when they go to the dentist? This service is user friendly and easy to use. Not to mention how cheap the premiums are. The customer service representatives are so lovely and helpful. Would highly recommend if you want to bridge that gap!

Follow-up  · You need to search dentists who accept Smile. The savings are great I’ve saved over $200 in gap savings from xrays and cleaning over 2 visits and my extras insurance paid the rest. If you want to cancel its as easy as pressing a button. No fuss.

Paid to join Smile.com.au on 17th September 2025 and was admitted to Redcliffe Hospital on the 19th with th a erratic heart and very dangerous blood pressure drops and put onto midadrine which I didn't like the first time I had it but they kept me on it for 10 weeks and have been into hospital since either RBWH or RDH with ambulance transfers each… Read more ·  4

time back and forth but always in one hospital got a pacemaker at RBWH and sent back to RH and then within a week and a half died in RH and hard CPR for 8 minutes and the paddles which got me alive and sent back to RBWH same night to get a a pacemaker and defibrillator 2 in 1 and pacemaker removed but still unable to stand or sit as the blood pressure drops to low readings or I pass out so again still having chest problems and unable to stand then after having chest pains daily or twice daily I got a high tripponin 14700. So the sent me back to RBWH from RH for 2 weeks to find out that my heart function is at 33% which means I can no longer be able to walk or have any operations as the chance of living is 0% so was being sent back to palliative care but I was put into a normal hospital ward and was released 6 months later. I am now living at hospital bed at home and a tip back wheelchair and a mobile shower chair and other medical items. I'm in things that I never needed before I went to hospital. So unable to get any dentistry and wife doesn't want to use it either so have asked before this time in telling them what I feel about Smile com au no replies after leaving my phone number and email each time I sent messages which got no reply to phone or email. Again after many attempted times on sending emails I get that they have now closed my account and said I haven't emailed or contacted smile com.au NASTY COMPANY DO NOT JOIN THIS GUTLESS DENTAL COMPANY CHECK THE COSTS AFTER YOU JOIN YOU WILL BE PAYING MORE THAN IS REVEALED IN JOINING CON.

I joined 25/02/26 for 2 years, and compared dental prices for the treatment I needed. I found there was no savings to be had so within 24 hours under their 100% satisfaction guarantee, I showed that and requested a refund as I am not happy. onto website for contact and submitted my request. Despite a zendesk ticket, nothing has been resolved and now I have gone to my bank to dispute. I want a refund. I have never used the card and have found no benefits. Honestly, if I could they would have zero stars. Even when on the 25th I downloaded their app - on a live chat, the representative was rude to me when I was asking about practical cards. Smiles.com.au claim that in Qld - crowns (which I need) start at $2000+ and with them their dentists only charge 1650. Well, I did research and their very own preferred provider was offering patients the same price - 1650 without one needing a card so that is why I want to be refunded - there are no benefits. Customer service I have found so far appalling.

staff were extremely welcoming, understanding and absolutely no judgement. I have been unable to visit a dentist for a long time due to work commitments. During the process to assess my issues Lize, communicated clearly, provided options. There was no forced decision, options given and I decided. During my tooth extraction both Lize and dental Assistant were communicating, explaining each step, ensuring I was ok etc. couldn’t be happier. Anyone who has any fears please don’t Lize is so professional and now I am returning to continue With my dental program. This is all down to the professionalism and welcoming of all Staff. A huge thank you and so grateful for your help. Received some discount which also helps. Very happy with Maple dental Care and discount received.

With no waiting period, you join in the day of your appointment, making sure you go to a participating dentist (easy to find on the smile website) and save more than your membership across your first 2 visits. Can't lose!!! Essential for anyone without private health extras cover.

This is such a simple dental policy. Super affordable. Once you sign up, the dentist simply applies your discount, no fussing about looking for apps or membership cards, it's all taken care of. And you can upload your invoices as simply as scanning them with your phone to see the discount applied as a permanent record in your smile account. 2 visits per annum as a single and your covering your fee. 3 visits as a couple.

Purchased and used the next day to save hundreds on a root canal. Could only use selected dentists, but it was worth it to save so much money. I have referred so many family and friends. Memberships so cheap and if you leave a review they give a further discount. Cant fault them.

I have been with smile for a few years now and how it makes a big difference on your dental health billing it takes off money and then if you have a health extras card more comes off and makes it very cost effective to look after your teeth
