Sony SLT-A35

Very Nice Camera! – This is the main camera I use. I've been taking photos with it for a few years, and it still take photos as good as newer, more expensive SLR cameras. Sure, it may be fairly small- which some people don't seem to like- but I really like that. I find it a lot easier to take good photos when I'm not feeling constantly weighed down by a bulky camera. The small size also makes it good for beginners, as well as a choice between complicated settings and preset simple settings- both of which take really cool features!
The HD video is an awesome feature, and works really well. I'm very happy with it, and I love using it to flim our racing car. Simple to use for beginners, light, HD video is great Small.
Love this camera! – I upgraded from a Nikon S8100 point and shoot to this camera. I paid $650 including the kit 18-55mm lens. The main reason I chose it over similarly priced SLR's is it's video and auto focusing system - both are superb. I'm extremely happy. The camera has tons of features, takes crystal clear, ell exposed pictures, and sharp, clean full HD video.
The only thing I would point out is that it is relatively small for an SLR, so make sure you handle it first. Larger handed people may not find it as comfortable as the larger Canons, Nikons etc. Features, image quality, video performance Might be uncomfortably small for some.

I also love my Sony a35 DSLR. Great features, and with a small hand it is fabulous to manage compared to my husband's larger camera.
Questions ...
1. Can anyone give advice re teleconverters for this camera. I have an SAL 55200-2 lens and would like a little more magnification. Does the SAL20TC 2 x converter drastically reduce the f stop to the point where it is not worthwhile having the converter?
2. Is there another teleconverter lens which is also compatible with the sony a35 DSLR? By compatible, I mean being able to keep the autofocus and other electronic capabilities with the lens?
