3rd times a charm? No – I purchased this along with the 60 inch sony tv. Tv is great and excellent clarity. The bdvn9200wb got taken back 3 times with the same 3 problems. The rear surround speakers keep dropping in and out and they also go through several minute periods where they sound blown and distorted, then back to normal. I am a DJ and have a good ear for sound so i know when something's distorted. Also the blue ray would cut out and in whilst watching foxtel. It was an intermittent problem but an aggravating and distracting one. I find it hard to believe no one else has had the problem (the sales person told me) yet I've had 3 with the same result each time. Trust me when i say i wanted this to work. On the outset this is the best product avail today, thats why I'm so disappointed with the results.

In the shop it had the best sound out of anything there and i paid $880 for it down from $1200. The bass was brilliant. It wasn't until i got it home that I was soon disappointed. Probably just teething issues but still. You buy the best....

FYI- we have no wifi net or other things that could cause wireless speakers to be interrupted. No neighbours have wifi either. No I'm not living in the bush LOL!

Great sound quality...full cinema experience – I recently purchased a new Sony tv, so was in the market for a surround sound system. I considered Sony and Samsung. I walked into JB Hi-Fi and the salesperson recommended listening to both. CD goes in and the Sony starts pumping out some decent sound with crystal clear clarity. Go around to the Samsung HT-H6550WM/XY and it was just noise..muffled sound with poor base. This is a $1200 system compared to a $650 system, but the Sony was on sale for about the same price hence why I was comparing the two. The Sony also looks great compared to the Samsung which looks a lot more plasticy.

I had heard good things about the Samsung smart hub for apps etc and I was thinking that a surround sound from one and a tv from another opened up the opportunity to use both, but I'm so happy I chose the Sony regardless.
