Bad – Well after paying $650 for this camera I had expected that it would have lasted me a long time. I was wrong when after the warranty expired the screen would switch to a different mode so if I was taking a video then sometimes it would turn to picture mode when I pressed the shutter button. I have now decided to get a new camera and refuse to spend a lot if they are designed to last only 2 years. Photos come out clear, movie quality is decent as well. Microphone works ok as well. Lots of different options with the unit too. Started to stop working after about 18 months.

Good – This has been an excellent camera, it's small enough considering the zoom size and the batteries last for ages if fully charged. As I bought it a long time ago there may be better value for money camera's out there with the bigger zooms but I am happy to keep on clicking with this one. I've had my camera for about 3 years now and I'm still learning things about it. I bought it because of large digital and optical zoom and I was prepared to pay for those two things. It has been a great camera, no problems whatsoever. There are many options, and the picture quality is fantastic. It has sustained a few little bumps and scratches but still performs like new. Am still using the original batteries. All the connection cables are great, we had a slide show of our USA holiday on the telly one night for our friends. There are so many options it might not be the best choice for someone wanting just the basics as you'll be paying for stuff you won't use.

Good – Easier to use than other cameras. I would have this on my top 10 for digital cameras. The price point of it is good to. Not cheap and nasty but not to expensive fopr you not to get it. Rechargeable Batteries Movie Maker 3 x Optical Zoom Expected a little bit more from Sony. Seems like you only pay for the name now!
