OK – We bought this camera after I kept dropping my Olympus. We have used it for a while but I ended up rebuying my old olympus second hand as it takes a much clearer picture. I was actully a bit disappointed as when my daughter was born we had used this camera and even though it has 8.1mp my old 3.2mp did a lot better. Comparing the photos you can really see which camera has taken which photos. I must say though that my old camera was a lot more expensive so probably up a category in cameras. I guess for a snap shot camera it is not too bad. There are some really fun features on it such as one that makes the person in the photo smile if they were not smiling when the shot was taken. Good for a laugh. Another that puts stars in the subjects eyes. It also has a slide show that provides you with music to set it to. We have had a few issues lately with it. Sometimes the settings will skip around by themselves. I think this was mainly when we used a 4GB memory card. I really need to read up on the manual as the settings are not really clear on the dial (as to what each setting does). Nice and compact. Good price. Have had some issues with it having a mind of it's own.
Good – Very good and eay to use camera with plenty of cool features. It has decent quality video recording and the camera takes good quality pictures when thay are sized to 5 megapixels. It is pretty compact and easy to cary. The LCD screen is very large, clear and bright (But it does seem to be a bit of a fingerprint magent). While it is a bit more expensive than other similar cameras, it is still cheaper than some others, and it is definately worth the extra money for the 5x optical zoom, large screen and all its other features. 5x OPTICAL zoom, big LCD screen, nice variety of colours for the camera, the camera has a lot of features. Less manual setting options than the old DSCW5. It also doesn't use AA batteries.
