Steelcraft Holiday Layback

So hard to manoeuvre, impossible – The wheels get stuck and roll uncontrollably. Its so bad that I went in the websites to look for a recall because its dangerous as the baby moves very quickly to the sides. Show details
This pram is a nightmare for me – I own this pram for a year now and every time I push it I remember how disappointed I am for spending $99 for it. Its been very hard for me to steer, difficult to turn, it requires quite a lot of strength for me to push this in flat surface, much much more in terrain. On the plus side, its very sturdy and has good quality. Show details

Excellent value for money – I've had this stroller for over two years and I use it more than my big Strider plus pram. It is sturdy, excellent turning circle, easy to push one handed, high handles suit taller people, folds up small to easily fit in any car boot, great to grab and go for a quick trip and just as good for an all day trip (I took baby and toddler in the city by… Read more
myself all day quite frequently, just put the ergo baby carrier in basket and we headed out for the day). My 3.5yr old still sits comfortably in it when he needs a break but it has a very narrow base that will fit through the narrow gates at all train stations I have gone through in Sydney (a plus when you are in a hurry and the wide gate is busy). Also excellent at the airport and I've never had problem with bits breaking like when my big pram was booked through. I love that the seat folds completely flat and the basket is a good size. Negatives: in full recline the basket is basically useless as you can't get anything in or out, The 5 point harness clip seems to challenge quite a few family members who have borrowed the pram, don't load up the handles and then take Bub out - the pram tips on it's back every time. Otherwise a fantastic pram, great value for money, I'd buy another one for the second car if hubby would let me! my big expensive pram sits at home as this one wins out 95% of the time :)
Good value, compact, sturdy – I already owned a Steelcraft Acclaim pram with my first child and needed a second one for next bub (Didn't go for a tandem pram as they were too heavy for me at the time). Decided to buy this stroller when it was on special at Big W. It is heavy for a stroller (not much lighter than my Steelcraft Acclaim pram) however not being light does make it… Read more
sturdy and manouvre easily, even when my 13kg child is using it. It is very compact and fits in the boot of our sedan WITH the Acclaim pram too. Very easy to fold. Instructions are easy to follow. You can lock/unlock wheels to suit terrain unlike some very cheap strollers. 3 things which can be improved:1) it doesn't recline fully flat for a newborn like most prams do (eg the Acclaim reclines fully flat), so when bub was newborn he was always leaning to one side. 2) the adjustable leg rest doesn't stay put when folded up (for newborn), but "clicks" in place fine when positioned down for my older child. (Unsure if this is faulty or normal). 3) Can't access storage basket easily when seat is reclined when bub is asleep. We actually use this stroller more often than the pram now, especially for quick trips to the shops. Overall very happy with my purchase. Sturdy, compact, inexpensive, reliable
Compact, looks great – I bought this umbrella stroller so that we would have more boot space for when we go on overnight trips and need the extra room to fit luggage, portacot etc. I also wanted something compact to take on the train without annoying all the other passengers during peak hour when doing the daycare run into the city. It's been perfect for this. I… Read more
chose this stroller after reading reviews here and looking at the alternative el-cheapo $20 umbrella strollers in the shops. The $20 strollers didn't have padded handles, had much cheaper looking and more uncomfortable looking fabric, and had inadequate sun shades. The handles also looked to be very low and even short people like me would have to hunch to push the stroller.
Although this stroller is slightly heavier than I hoped, it is very compact compared to my baby jogger pram and leaves me with plenty of boot space. It is easy to fold/unfold, and easy to recline the seat. The stroller looks nice and looks more expensive than the $88 (on sale) price tag.
It is easy to push and I like the security of the wrist strap. The pouch at the back of the stroller is very handy and makes up for the under basket which is on the small side, a bit flimsy, and can be hard to access (my baby jogger pram has a huge and fab under-basket).
There are 2 foot brakes, which takes some getting used to, but the brakes are made of a softer plastic than the $20 strollers which is more gentle on your toes when wearing thongs/open sandals. I don't think this stroller will replace my big, comfy baby jogger pram, but it definitely meets my needs for something zippy (yet sturdy) for weekends away, and quick trips. Looks nice, great colour, compact, good sun shade, lovely fabric, padded handles, easy-to-follow instruction manual. A little heavy, small under basket, two foot brakes.

Great light easy to use pram – Great light easy to use pram. Folds down to a compact size. Has the capability to recline. Great hood coverage to shield from the sun. Good size basket underneath to carry small items and pocket to hold phone and or keys etc. sturdy and holds a child upto 17 kg Show reply
Really good for the value – I am really happy to have this stroller It is easy to use , to manoeuvre It is a very good product for the price I use it every day for my son who weight 15kg over strolle break down but This one is really solid Nor to heavy if you need to carry it I really recommand it for child over 1 years I buy it since 2 years still working !! Great second pram – We purchased this pram as a second pram to our bugaboo donkey. The Holiday II is a much smaller pram which is fabulous for fitting in the hotrod. It doesn't feel as nice as the bugaboo does but for only $100 it is still a great pram. Only down fall is the horrible sun protection! Show reply

Meh! – I use to have a steelcraft stroller for my oldest, the hood was large, providing plenty of shade, handling was great, straps were fine, but i stupidly got rid of it. So when it came to buying another when my youngest came along i chose this. Unfortunately its let me down. The handling is horrible, the straps cut into my childs neck and the hood is so short it's pointless having it. Such a waste of money.

Heavy and hard to maneuver – Had difficulty in pushing this stroller, so heavy and hard to maneuver and the wheels often get stuck and wont roll. Paid around $99 not worth the money could buy $25 worth of stroller with same or better performance. Always ending up with sore hand after using it. Excellent design and fabric but still wont buy it again. Like the design- looks sturdy and comfty for the child. So hard and heavy to maneuver.

OK – We bought this stroller as a cheaper alternative which we could take on flights etc when we were going away. It's not a stroller i would recommend using on a daily basis though - mainly because it has terrible maneouverability. It has however served the purpose that we bought it for. Inexpensive, lightweight Maneouverability not good, not much padding in seat, not a smooth ride.

I really enjoy using this stroller – I have used many strollers/prams. I have a few favorites and in the "lightweight, quick errand" category this is my fave for the price. If you no longer want to use a bigger, heavier stroller, or you want something for travel this is perfect, I find it one of the best quality umbrella style strollers. Doesn't feel cheap and flimsy like the $25… Read more · 1
dollar ones, but i'd say it feels strong and good quality like the $250-300 overpriced umbrella ones. So its a definite win for me! Good quality for a decent price.
Afforadable, Good Quality, Easy to fold, and steering is great!
I'd definitely recommend.
Good for travel – Sold my steelcraft double compact for this one since my eldest now prefers to walk. I have no issue with this product except that the shoulder straps are a bit too short and the hood are small. The item is not expensive at all for its durability. This stroller for me is good for travel but just OK for a sleeping baby. Solved by using a pram liner and a pram cover. Show reply

Convenient – This pram is nice and convenient to take around to the shops or outdoors. It is easy to collapse and easy to set up and isn't too heavy for a mum with a small frame. The fabric is easy to clean and there is plenty of storage for small trips.
Can't imagine life now without it! – I have a 2 year old toddler and wanted a safe and sturdy stroller for the grandparents to use. My current pram is a great pram but far too heavy and bulky so sits in the garage now. We now always use our steelcraft stroller to go on short walks to the shops or around the shopping centre. Also I love how easy it turns, the reclining ability for… Read more
when she falls asleep, the leg rest can adjust too so she can put her feet on the feet rest. The only down fall is that the sunshade isn't very big and with the stroller wheels the ride seem more steady on flat pavement or smooth surfaces.
Great bargain stroller – it is not the most easy to control stroller compare with my larger Quiny pram. But it's ok still can handle it without trip or fall over with kid onboard. it's not super heavy and it's quite easy to fold and carry. Sometimes the pram would unlock itself but it's ok just need to be careful not scratching the car paint The quality is great and… Read more
my son loves to have his nap inside.
Only issue now is my son seems to be tall enough his feet will touch the wheels when turning. Also my rear wheels have very bad uneven wear. but it doesn't affect the ride
Anyway I am happy with it so as my son
Good buy – I got this from Big W and it is quite light compared to another stroller I had at home. It is easy to put my toddler in and easy to recline. I do with that the hood was a bit broader to offer sun protection - only fault. Easy to lock and easy to pack up.
Great – Easy to move, no troubles with the pram my daughter enjoys it, easy to pack never need to rely on anything else, had another stroller which does not compare to this, this is good in every kind of way but for exercise it’s not highly reliable, hard to run with it
Easy to open/close and use – I bought this stroller from Big W 2 weeks ago for $99. I have a bad back so i wanted something for my 6 mnth old to use when doing some errands instead of using my big city select. I love how easy it is to open and close. Its easy to maneuver and it also reclines for bub to sleep which sold me. One feature i dont like is that the hood is useless. It doesnt cover or give shade. For $99 i am really happy with the stroller!
Affordable stroller for your toddlers – Comfort - the children gets comfortable really easily, the back is reclinable all the way, your bubba should have a good sleep while you do the shopping or browsing. seat belts are fine and extendable. Maneuverability - it's very mobile and maneuverable, locks on the wheels, works best on pavement, shopping centres, grass as well. … Read more
Foldability - not the most complicated, takes a while to get used to it folding in front rather than collapsing backwards like other brands.
Build quality - quite sturdy, feels premium, solid and hardwearing.
Love this $99 stroller - has replaced my $2000 Joolz – While it’s not as easy to manoeuvre as my old Joolz and doesn’t have as much storage or feel as luxurious, as an every day stroller that you can just fold up easy and chuck in the boot it’s great. Haven’t had any issues with it yet and it’s still going strong. For $99, this has served us well. It’s great quality. Definitely recommend.
Great stroller for a great price – We actually bought this stroller for our upcoming newborn, but our toddler has become obsessed with wanting to use it herself! She loves it! I don't have any comments on use with a newborn yet, but so far its awesome for a toddler! The full layback function has even allowed my daughter to have a nap while out and about, which she hasn't done for 2… Read more
years!! Looking forward to trying it out for our new bub, but think we'll have to but another one as my daughter no longer wants to use her old one, haha! It's compact, sturdy and easy to fold - I can't fault it! Love this stroller, especially for the price!

Good – We got at big W for $99 as the other pram was too chunky. The sun visor is not worth the effort of putting on as it doesn't offer any sun protection. Can hold a few bags underneath and over handles which comes in handy when shopping. Easy to fold and set up.
Pretty good stroller – It was hard to find this item in stock anywhere and I finally got one at Big W for around $90. It is bigger and heavier that I thought it would be, which is good for bub's comfort but a bit of a hassle fitting it into a small car boot. The seat is more padded than other strollers I looked at and the layback option is great for long walks when bub… Read more
finally dozes off. It can be folded up and unfolded with one hand, but steering one handed can be a bit difficult. Overall I would recommend it.
Good for short trips to the shop – Easy to fold and unfold & to put in the back of the car. Great pram for short trips, folds back to sleeping position. Only down side is that there is not much sun protection for child outdoors. Overall a great light weight pram for what you pay for it.
Nice and light – This pram isn't too heavy to lift. We have a nice blue colour. The pram glides well, can fit an adequate amount of groceries in the under compartment, folds easily, easy to clean. It would be nice if the hood had better sun protection as this is the main downfall.
Great for under 3's – Pros: Great colour, easy to clean, easy to fold, light weight. Folds back to sleeping position. Not expensive. Cons: - not much rain/wind/sun protection for outdoor use. - once child's feet reach strap over wheels it's over. The weight of legs on the strap cause it to press against wheels slow/stop them turning. This pram was… Read more
great for shopping (walking insude) until my baby turned three. I tried to stop the foot strap from touching the wheels but it's a design fault.
Love it! – Great stroller with lay back feature. Between me and the grandparents, we have 3 strollers and this is my favourite by far. It feels well built, folds up nicely and is smooth to maneuver. Unfortunately my parents found it easy to put my daughter down for a nap in it, and now it is the only thing she naps in at their house!
Excellent. Just what I was looking for – This stroller is my favourite one out of all the ones I went through with my older children, trying to find the right one over the years I never thought I would be able to find the perfect one. It is very simple and quick to fold and extremely happy with the build of its quality. Show reply
Love it. Would highly recommend – Brough this to replace our agile pusher. Still needed to be able to lay our daughter back from time to time. I had looked at buying a Maclaren second hand but found for the same price as a second hand one on gumtree i could get brand new. Love that its easy to push and that it can recline while still being a umbrella style stroller. Fits easy in… Read more · 1
my boot. And i have a 7 seat territory so boot space is limited when all seats being used. Easy to fold and undo. Handle are at a great height aswell, hubby is over 6 foot and does not have to arch back to push. My only complaint is that the hood could be more like the agile. But for the $100 spent I'm very impressed. I have only used steelcraft for my past 2 bubs and would always recommend their brand first.
Lasts forever – Excellent stroller. Was given as a gift 8 yrs ago. An currently using on 3rd child, and has been used well on other children being babysat as well. Easy to maneuver, hardy, full lay back. Been overseas, light weight yet sturdy, . Only thing that broke was the rubber footrest but that was after 5-6 years of use. Cut off completely pram is still great. Would but it again if needed to but this one won't break so have to keep going! Show 2 replies
Planes, trains & automobiles – We got this for travel. It's been around the world and still works a treat. If baggage handlers can't break it, you know you're on a winner. Light weight, easy to put up and down. Bubs sleeps in it in the reclined position. Stays in the car as it's relatively compact. Would buy again.
A Pretty Good Stroller - Not 5 Star, But Good – This is a pretty good stroller. It's compact, light, comfy for bub, and is nice enough to drive. I love that you can recline it for younger bubs. There's just a few things about it that stopped me giving it 5 stars: - the clip to hold it together when folded releases far too easily and is always coming undone - the hood also comes off way too… Read more
easily and often unclips when I'm just taking it out of the boot
- you can't access the storage basket when the seat is reclined
- it's easy to accidentally push the seat back up when you're getting things from the back storage pouch
- it says it fully reclines, but it doesn't. It doesn't go fully flat, but it's still good enough for young babies.
So overall I'm very happy with it. It certainly does the job. It's just not perfect.
This is what I want – I used bulky buggy like a folded push bike. Nothing can be loaded into my back car space except buggy. So, I had been looking for the second stroller which is easy handling and compact. I was lucky to find this before buying $25 stroller sold at Target. What a compact size! I got car space back. I can carry it with one hand, and handle it… Read more
smoothly. My 9 months old baby looks comfortable. I wished I could find it two months ago. No problem for walking in town from shop to shop, but maybe not suitable for jogging:). I love it. I can't go back to my first buggy. easy handling, carry it everywhere can't use storage basket when seats pushed back
I love it... But clip broke after 4 months – Love the pram... Have had it for 4 months, bought it while I was actually on holiday interstate, (so now can't replace or exchange or find receipt) - and just recently my mum broke the clip... She may have been too rough or didn't understand the 5 points, but either way it's effected my trust in using it safely. Though, it actually hasn't made the… Read more
clip non-functional, it still clicks together, but now I'm a little worried as new mum with a small baby.
Does anyone know where to get a replacement clip? I'm heading to Bali in 7 weeks and would love to take it if I could trust bub would not fall out. It's the waist side clip...??!
Other than that it's a great light pram...
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME HOWEVER... So I can love and enjoy it again!! :) Great price, light and kinda cute Clip on strap broke (possibly by my mums accidental mishandling) and don't expect to be using the basket at all if the seat is laying down
