DO NOT book with Student Flights – I booked a holiday with Student Flights Witfords back on 22/2/19 going to Bali for a friend's wedding. I had told the lady to book accommodation Tuesday 3rd to Sunday 8th September with the wedding being held at the Pandawa Beach Villas and Resort. different island to the main part of Bali. I have included ferry's to get to the island 'Gili T' but the boat departs in the morning you will need to spend 1 night in the main part of Bali before heading over and the same on the way home. This is also because you never know what delays might occur and we would hate to send you on the same day and miss your flight". I stupidly agreed to it and paid for it not realising till now, based on her advice. Not only did I pay for 2 nights' accommodation, I also payed for boat transfers both of which I didn't need. I did get a refund of $595.37. but then I paid $387.19 to reschedule my flights spending a total of $1440.59 for what is now going to be a two day holiday. Flight Centre have flight and hotel packages for 7 nights available for $435, so I'm not sure what I'm paying for apart from flights because I am now staying with a friend who is also going to the wedding and he payed for the hotel, probably some sort of commission. I couldn't even get a airport transfer to the hotel because "it's not available to this hotel" Now, if you do a simple Google search for Pandawa Beach Villas and Resort, you will find it is near Sanur and 50 minutes away from Ngurah Rai International Airport NOT in the Gili Islands If you type Pandawa Gili Trawangan, the place booked comes up. It is says it's permanently closed so I'm not sure how she was able to book this place and it also nowhere near Pandawa Beach and the Resort. Apparently " I looked it up in my system and it was the first to come up. No accommodation came up elsewhere under the same name otherwise I would have questioned it". I will never be using Student Flights again. I thought it would be cheaper using this travel agent but I was so wrong
Very terrible experience – I cancelled my flights via phone on Aug 2, and the staff said I will receive my refund in 3~5 business day, which should be Aug 8. I went to my bank to ask my transaction history, the bank said"student flight didn't proceed the refund." So I dialed the number again. The staff said "you have to wait until Aug 15." Every staff on the phone told me the different things. I have already waited for a long time, and have not receive my refund. I booked the ticket through website. I went to the real student flight store. They said the flight that was booked on website can only seek help from customer service phone number. The staffs in real store don't have the access of on-line booking. I think this policy is wrong. It's not friendly to customer. This policy make customers feel hopeless. Because when I cannot gain help from phone service, I need to seek real stores for help. I wrote a complaints letter to student flight. On August 12 night, team 7 leader phoned me to explain why my refund delayed and provide helpful & sincere assistance, which is good. However, Customer relations' staffs have unfriendly attitudes and are very impatient.

peak season and it was with Cathay pacific, we were offered much lower fairs but the sales rep did inform us that those fairs were not inclusive of baggage and we would be spending more money by adding baggage he was not wrong for 20kg baggage it was an extra $180 meaning the $620 airfares we saw were actually $800 and Cathay came with 25kg baggage direct to Japan and a 7kg carry on which was perfect for 2 days clothing for Hong Kong. Not to mention the travel agent saved us an additional $130 by starting our trip off in Nagoya when we were planning to end it in Nagoya he compared the rates ( I also compared them on my phone at skyscaner just to make sure i wasn't getting scammed ) and he was completely right and the $130 we saved we all were able to purchase a bullet train ticket straight to Tokyo with from Nagoya! Lastly, I had to change my flight me and my boyfriend at the time were meant to fly from japan to the Philippines together whilst all my friends returned back to Sydney the night before we flew out we split up and I needed to return to Sydney with my friends, I rang student flights from Japan and explained to them I requested to be on the same flight as my friends as it was the night before i saw the rate for the one way fare online as $800 at that point I thought I'd be traveling to Philippines alone as I couldn't afford $800, thankfully I only had to pay a $200 change fee and they placed me on the same plane and allocated me a seat right beside my sister with less than 24 hours till that plane took off! I honestly had such a great experience with student flights and i would 100% return there, from all the negative reviews the one thing that seems consistant is either something occurred that was out of a travel agents reach aka airport loss of baggage, maximum capacity for last minute stays, cancelation of a tour by a tour company or you requesting a fare from a reseller when student flights works directly with the airline..? etc etc and from my own experience I know an agent is always available no matter where in the world you are 24/7 for assistance.

suggestion was to just forfeit our tickets and buy other flights for $900-$1000 each. We had questions and still haven’t received any emails replying to our queries and it’s now been 6 days. Really poor service and were left not knowing what we can do, want our money back.

So poor. Terrible service fees – My partner moved her flight 5 days backwards to arrive at the same time as me. She was charged $150 to transfer the flight to an earlier time and received no refund for the pre-booked flight. Not great – I tried to book one of their 'deals' on flights a few times. Travel agents ignored my request for the deal (I even quoted the deal number) and quoted me flights which were $400 or $500 more expensive. After a bit of run around I was told the deal is booked out for the dates I wanted. That's fine but just tell me upfront so I don't waste my time. … Read more
In addition the flights they quoted for were more expensive than if I bought them directly through the airline. Don't waste your time. I found better prices using Google flights in 5 minutes flat.

price as a trip where I could've paid for a much better airline and hotel. Customer service isn't too great either - their focus is trying to make their brand look good, and won't give out refunds. Be careful and if you decide to go with these guys, check EVERY detail. My advice? Don't go with Student Flights. Book your trip outright, and you'll save yourself a whole lot of worry and cash.

booking is for 3 passengers. Ideally I should be able to get my booking at this lower fare. So I asked the staff (who is not friendly at all) to proceed for the booking. After awhile, she told me that the Aunt Betty website the fares are increased now. And the staff tried to convince me to buy directly from Student Flights which is cheaper than Aunt Betty now. I just curious why the fares were suddenly increased at the moment I wanted to make the purchase. So, I refused to purchase. After few days later, I checked the fare directly from the airline website again. The lower fares on my selected travel date has 5 seats left again. Therefore, I checked in Aunt Betty again. The fare displayed was the lower fare that I wanted to purchase on last few days. Again I went to Student Flights as they do price beat as what they promised. Once again the same thing happened when I wanted to proceed the purchase. I was told the fare was increased. And now only I knew how they did the beat price. They login to their system and make the reservation for 3 passengers based on Student Flights fare. So 3 seats have reserved. After that only accessed to Aunt Betty website and entered 3 passengers for the selected travel date. Of course Aunt Betty will show higher fare for 3 passengers. As in the airline website is showing 5 seats left, so after Student Flights have reserved 3 seats. Only left 2 seats. If I checked in Aunt Betty again definitely it will show me at higher fares as there were only 2 seats left at the lower fare now (I believe all booking system are linked and get up-to-date information). So, just wonder is this is a fair and correct process for price beat? I’m really disappointed to Student Flights. This is my first time try to book from Student Flights and will be my last time.

get there in under ten hours. It is close to midnight. Attendant later pages me over terminal two speakers. They've located my suitcase.
3. Miss my transfer to Hakuba because of 2. No assistance from ozsnow when the Jetstar representative calls Hakuba Gondola.
4. Try to book into two airport hotels. Full capacity.
5. Attendant sees me wandering aimlessly with a bowl of natto from seven eleven and asks if I've found accommodation. Clearly my homelessness indicates otherwise. Attendant rings a nearby hotel and takes me there immediately via the incomprehensible subway.
6. I check in, collapse into bed and book a direct shuttle to Hakuba from narita airport for the following morning. Today I realised I've booked for Dec 25, not today. This is sorted by reception ten minutes before the scheduled bus is about to leave.
No response from Ozsnow regarding this issue.
No response from Student Flights in Parramatta regarding my emails clarifying the exact times and dates of my itinerary. Offering a few snow vouchers is not enough assistance. I felt abandoned.

I received for a Qatar Airways flight ($3300) was $600 above the price ADVERTISED ON QATAR AIRWAYS WEBSITE - I'm sorry how is that even possible when the airline isn't even advertising that price. Tells us she went through all the hidden fees but didnt. We spent $645 extra unplanned expenses that she said is in our invoice. Stupidly trusting her we didnt red the fine print. We had expensive fees at our hotels she didn't disclose. Had to pay baggage for 2 separate flights when she told us it would only be one. Books us on a ridiculous local flight. Like we were stingy enough on our honeymoon to not afford something better. Offers to refund us one of the issues and refuses to take responsibility or acknowledge any fault. Ill never book through student flights or flight centre again. Ill book direct from now on. Do not book with them there is no trust, transparency or care in their service – I have to fly back home for a family emergency, so I had to change my flights for a few days earlier. Great service. Fantastic trip – Four of us have just returned from Perth. Our trip was Arranged through Ben at the Shellharbour branch. We travelled to Perth from Sydney on the Indian Pacific. Next day when i went there nobody had any issues. Everyone was chilling. I was going for sister wedding. I was late because of you guys filthy mistakes. And he got me ticket for the next day but the way they sorted it out was completely annoying. I am going back again but never coming to student flights again and not gonna recommend anyone to get from this place unless you have a proper guaranteed or anything extra than other.
Think about customers. Their money and time. This should not happen to anyone. If you do wrong with customers try to please them. At least talk like that's a big issue and respond according to situation.
It’s a scam – Went to South America last year and stupidly booked everything through student flights; flights, tours, accommodation and insurance. The flights were outrageously priced and no different to anything we could find on ourselves. While we were paying an average of $500 to $1000 for a tour, the people we were on the tours with were paying on average… Read more
$200 and $300. The people at student flights will tell you that you should book the tours through them because they might run out of spaces of people they can take on the tour. We found that the people who bought the tours at the place of the tour were doing so easily and hundreds of dollars cheaper than what we had paid. This is because student flights go through a secondary tour company and they all take cuts of the price of the tour meaning you’re paying more. Worst of all, I paid so much money for insurance only to find out after an accident where I hurt my shoulder in Brazil that it didn’t cover me. The student flights employee lied to our faces saying we would be covered for everything, the same we would in Australia. Lastly we had some trouble with accommodation because of student flights. There were some places we turned up to and they had NO idea who we even were. Do not use student flights. It is a scam! If you are planning a trip by yourself for the first time like I was, just do everything yourself. It’s a good learning curve. Student flights profits from you but you do not at all profit from student flights. I’m am still paying for it a year later with my shoulder that is still terrible because I didn’t get the proper care I paid for as well as paying back the loans I made to account for the extortionate prices flight center (student flights) made me pay.
Not honouring price beat promise – These guys clearly offer a price beat promise on their website. I was trying to get a price match for a return China Airways flight to KTM which is $1283 on the China Airways website. Bestjet and Skidoo, both Australian sites have the flight for $1195 and $1205 respectively, at the final payment screen. I called and emailed student flights who… Read more
said theu needed to get authorisation from head office to match. I received a reply via email that they don't do price beats where the gap is over $100. Firstly, the gap was less than that and secondly, I cannot see this exception in the policy.
Please advise where this exception is listed in the policy, or remove the price heat slogan and policy from your website. To me this seems like false advertising and I am wondering whether this should be referred for investigation to ACCC.

BOOKED FROM WRONG AIRPORT - STUDENT FLIGHTS – My daughter and 3 friends booked Europe Trip through Student Flights Indooroopilly. the other 3 missed out getting their tickets. 2nd thing to happen, one of the girls was still emailing the Travel Agent asking for her ferry ticket the day before she flew out to London. 3rd thing to happen, the Travel Agent stuff up and booked the flight from London City Airport to Amsterdam which should of been London Heathrow Airport to Amsterdam is what the girls asked to be booked on as they where staying 20mins away from Heathrow. The Travel Agent even confirmed to the girls that the flight was from Heathrow. So upon arriving at Heathrow to catch the flight, that did not leave from London Heathrow, they both had to buy another flight from London Heathrow to Amsterdam - $600 Australian. Apparently the Travel Agent had never been to London as she told the girls but assured them their flight was from London Heathrow Airport to Amsterdam. No responsibility was taken from the Travel Agent at all as they kept telling me the Invoice was signed but as I explained to the Manager, was this ever explained to the girls that London has more than one airport - NO. Is this not a Travel Agents job to explain all of this to your Customers and to inform them of this information considering they are spending money and this is your job. The Manager would only refund the girls their Original flight fare out of the wrong Airport $163. This is such a poor effort. DO NOT BOOK WITH STUDENT FLIGHTS AS YOU HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF BOOKING CORRECT FLIGHTS YOURSELF AND HAVING ALL YOUR PAPERWORK. Thanks Student Flights for all your information and care taken !!!!!!

Do not book with them!!! – Worst company ever. Little to no help, impossible to get through to someone that can help you - the only person who can cancel or make adjustments to your trip is the person you booked with. So if they are sick and not working, or at another store it is virtually impossible to reach them. Unhelpful, disorganised and an absolute waste of time.
