Sunbeam EasyClean Snack for 2 GR6200

New model - not impressed – I have used these for years, but Sunbeam has recently changed the design, and it doesn't work. I make cheese & tomato toasties. The new model has smaller sections, does not seal properly, and does not heat to the same temperature. My toasties (using the same cheese I have always used) are now barely cooked after 10 minutes, by which time the cheese has melted & run out the sides of the machine because it doesn't seal properly. I've used the new one 4 times & have just thrown it in the bin. It's useless. Nothing. Doesn't seal. Doesn't heat properly.

OK – If you're trying to decide between a pie maker and one of these, take one of these. You can use them for both, and while the pies are an unusual shape, they still taste great. This cooks both very quickly, and the coating usually doesn't stick. The only real problem is the diagonal cutter: out first one didn't have it, and I wish all the new ones were the same. True the pieces are smaller, but when the best taste is the centre, not the edges, diagonal cutting just means you're left with more uninteresting edges. Also, you need to be careful to make sure there's no filling near the cutter, as some things (especially cheese) tend to leak out if they are, and are hard to remove from the cooking plates. Great for making quick snacks. Works for both toasted sandwiches and small pies (no need for a pie maker as well). The diagonal cutter makes it harder to clean, and means you can't fit as much inside your sandwiches and pies!!!

Excellent – overall its is a must have in everyones kitchen, so qucik and easy to used, the lid locks down so it seals the sandwich well, just be careful eating as the filling will be hot it is cheap to buy, quite easy to clean maybe a little harder on some parts but worth it, makes a toasted sandwich very quickly, looks great, is very light weight, doesnt take up much space, non stick coating so food does not stick, seals in the filling, sometimes it is a little hard to clean in the corners and scratches a little but that doesnt bother me
