Big Oscar 2 lc330 – Had this for about 25 years and the bowl middle where the blade sits is starting to disintegrate. Is it possible to get another bowl somewhere in good condition. I love my Big Oscar 2 and have just used it to make basil pesto.

Purchased at David Jones Retail Stores.

Hello cat4jesus, Thank you for the great review, we're happy to hear that you're loving the LC033. Unfortunately, given that it is an older model we no longer stock spare parts for this unit.

Terrific machine. I would recommend this as an essential kitchen item – I have had this machine for over 20 years. I use it regularly from making almond flour, fish batter whipping cream in seconds, soup mix, smoothies and mixing of ingredients for spring rolls to name just a few uses.

Original Sunbeam Oscar – I bought my Sunbeam Oskar in 1988 or so. It still is the most used appliance I own, and it is simple to use. I have only used the grater/slicer attachment one time, but the food processor is used for anything I want chopped. I am looking for an exact duplicate of what I have, for gifts for my daughters, but I guess they don't make them anymore. The one I purchased on the internet in the 80's is great for salsa, nuts, making hummus, or anything you want to chop finely. The secret is to pack it almost full, like with an onion, a couple cloves of garlic, a bunch of cilantro, and a few chilis chopped into 4 or 5 pieces. Then empty it, do your tomatoes (add tomatoes in quarters or eighths), and dump them into your chili/cilantro/onion mix. Soooo easy! I also own a Vita-Mix that I use for huge batches of salsa, but the Oskar takes the place on honor in , at yard sales,my kitchen. I have picked up two mini Oskars at yard sales, but have yet to try them, since my old faithful still works great. I also bought a large Kitchen-Aid food processor last year for chopping a large amount of cabbage for the Curtido (pickled cabbage slaw) I make when I make up a batch of Pupusas. The KA food processor is okay, works fine with a large load, but the Oskar outperforms, and has a stronger motor. My Oskar easily finely minces the cooked pork roast that I add to my masa. Sunbeam really made a boo-boo when they quit selling the original Oskar! It sounds like the new Oskars aren't as powerful, from other reviews I've read. Power, Simplicity, with just a bowl, lid, and blade.

Excellent – I would definitely recommend. My Godmother used her Oskar to make pesto, so I bought one too. I have had one since 1995. I recently bought a second hand one from a garage sale in case mine ever breaks. The newer models look really good too...but mine does the job for the time being! - Perfect for blending small amounts - Excellent size for making pesto

- Excellent size for baby portions

- Extremely reliable - The engine started to smoke after I tried to blend something that was too think, but I was probably at fault, not the machine

- After about 15 years of one version of this blender some of the parts started to wear, but I think 15 years of hard use is pretty good

Ive had my sunbeam oscar mini since 1984 now its time to replace it. It has been the most useful, reliable and used appliance in my kitchen. Unfortunately the parts have worn out. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Got the first Big Oskar ever. The blade just broke. You'd think 28 years or so of constant use would not be so hard on a blade!!! Best thing we've ever had in the kitchen
