Terrible – Never, never, never buy one!!! I was lucky i got a refund but i won't ever buy a sunbeam again. Looks Good Burns every type of bread, muffin, crumpet on the lowest setting, so what's the point of having 6 to choose from? Even though it has a high lift i had to use a bamboo skewer to get muffins out. I toasted a slice of grain bread and it shorted out the circuit. Absolute crap. Needs to be recalled.

Terrible – I purchased this toaster to replace another totally useless machine which I returned. I had hoped that a company with a good name like Sunbeam would produce a quality product. Not so, this toaster is a waste of space. It has been poorly designed and there appears to be little or no quality control on the toasters. I would discourage anyone from buying this model. It looks very pretty when the lights are on. The long slots are good for toasting Vienna loaf or high top bread. It doesn't do what it's designed to do i.e. cook toast! It has a bad habit of only cooking one side of the bread. The toasting pattern is very patchy and uneven and the edges of the toast are usually burnt. Even on the lowest setting it will burn raisin toast, and the high lift lever doesn't lift crumpets or muffins high enough to remove them safely.

Good – I initially though it was faulty and took it back to the store to swap it over, they tested it by putting the dial to the lowest setting and refused to exchange or refund. I asked what if I wanted my toast slighty under cooked and they told me I should watch it and press the cancel button when its ready (so much for automatic appliences!) I still do love this toaster as it looks great and coooks fine (on the lowest setting!) but the rude staff at the store did not make for a pleasant experience when querying its super cooking powers. I fell in love with the quirky design of this toaster! One side sits slighty higher then the other and it has 6 blue lights that swtich off to count down how long the bread has to left to cook. Has a reheat setting so if you dont get to it straight away you can reheat it without burning. Cooks bread a little too well, we like ours just medium (nice brown colour, what you would could as a 5 out of 10) but we have to have this set on 1.5 out of 6 as any higher and it burns! Even on 1.5 the edges can go a little black and it can get far too dry like crispbread if you are using sandwich slices. When we first used it we immediately went to 3 and it started smoking half way through the cooking time!
