Beeping drives me mad! – My iron beeps all the time as well. After a minute of ironing it starts beeping - I turn it off at the wall but within another minute the beeping starts again. It is so annoying. Wonder if it needs cleaning?? Also still use it but may not for much longer as it is getting worse. Other than that a good iron with lovely smooth stainless steel plate and good steam shot. Show details ·  1

Great Iron – We have had a series of Sunbeam irons over the last 25 years. They are lightweight, switch off automatically and are easy to use. The functions are very easy to use and work well. They are so good we always replace a smashed one with another Sunbeam. We smash irons. The only thing wrong with these irons is that they are not shatter-proof from… Read more

OK – This should have been foolproof, but . . . The thing I had doubts about, the beeper that warns if it has been still for too long, goes off no matter how vigorously I am ironing. It has to be stood up and firmly told it is upright now so be quiet before it stops beeping. This is a real nuisance when one is concentrating hard on something… Read more

difficult, and has to lift it up. This happened from new. I took the first one back, and there was no problem, it was replaced with a new one, as guaranteed. This also had the same fault, and I rang the local shop to tell them so. The girl who had served me said that maybe they had better find a different brand for me. I didn't want a different one, and never took it back, so it is my fault really that I have this problem. I just wish it had worked right first time and stayed that way. I still use it, and like it otherwise. However, when I want to iron something at a really hot temperature, I always feel that it is not getting as hot as it ought to, as other irons would, but I can't test that, or even know what the hottest temp is supposed to be. Stainless steel plate. Good water tank. Nothing, but it beeps if I use it for a minute or so and I have to raise it and shake it before it will stop.

Excellent – Had it for years & works perfectly. It died today but only because it got knocked off the board, fell on the floor & broke. I've even dropped it before & it still worked. On light, clear water holder, auto shut off

great piece of work! – I love this iron - it makes my life so easy. I decided to upgrade from my old sunbeam that I have been using since 2002 and what an upgrade! Technology has come a long way and I'm really happy I've made this purchase! Easy to use, smooth, well balanced, good controls

Excellent – I rarely like to iron but at least with this iron it makes the job a bit easier and faster. It heats up real fast and can pretty much iron EVERYTHING and irons it extremely well. Some water spotting happens when you start ironing straight away without letting the iron heat up first (though it heats up pretty quickly). The steam function is great… Read more

and helps to get those creases out of heavier fabrics like denim. I've been using this iron for over a year now and would definitely buy it again (though this model is now obsolete) Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to fill, heats up fast, saftey auto-ff This model is now obsolete, some water spotting if used when it's hot enough
