BAD.VERY SAD. WHAT DO I DO NOW! – In use less than 12 months chiller failed can not be serviced repaired or replaced as it is a sealed unit now have to wait for the E.P.A. to come around this way because of refrigerant in sealed unit.So for some one like me how do i find some thing that is good and will last this was a gift to us by family!. Loved my Sunbeam chiller – Our Sunbeam chiller did a great job for about 5 years and then stopped chilling. I went looking for a new one only to be told that Sunbeam had so much trouble with them that they had stopped making them. I then purchased an Aquaport unit - first one died after 7 months and the second one lasted about 6 months when it began freezing the water in the unit. I am currently deciding what to do for this summer.
Not perfect but close – Had ours for 6 years, cooler died 4 years ago, but we just put the filtered water in bottles into fridge ready for the next day. Now the pump has died. Annoyed? - Yes a little. But we will buy another one, and not worry about the cooler function, save power and keep putting the bottles into the fridge. Why? - because the water from this filter is sooo much better than the local tap water.
I love the sunbeam water purifier Chiller – We have had a two of these over a period of 10 years and they have been great! God I hope they keep making them.

states clearly that the Product Care only kicks in once the manufacturer's warranty expires which is 12 months for this product.
My partner was told this morning by the manager of Harvey Norman in Oxley (QLD) that there has been a change to the Product Care and that the 36 months start at the same time as the manufacturer's warranty and that they will not come to the party and there's nothing Harvey Norman can do.
However, we were never advised of this change of terms and conditions all we have is the documents that were supplied to us in March 2012.
So as a result I will not set foot at a Harvey Norman shop & will not buy another Sunbeam product again! I have published my experience extensively and will making a complaint with the ACCC.
Seriously 4 weeks!!!! And it died – So happy my husband purchased this new model filter for me as we have moved to the country and water no good. lemon. Second unit similarly lasted about 12 months the the cooling function stopped working. This time it seemed to be a diode in the bridge rectifier but after hours of effort diagnosing the problem I would've been better off just spending $60 on a new (not sunbeam) unit. Better QA and higher tolerance electronics required Sunbeam.
On a positive note, the unit when working apart from having a noisy pump did what we wanted it to do and the design was OK.

chiller button (although still lighting up), only gave you room temperature water. We just continued using by filtering the water as usual and then putting it into a jug into the fridge. We had been doing this for quite a while and no problems there.
I knew it was going to die soon but started looking around for another one and was saddened that they are no longer about. I cannot find anything that will replace this loved appliance. I have now had to buy bottled water which I am not enjoying at all.
If Sunbeam are reading this, I used to always wipe down the back of the container where the metal mesh was behind the item. I would also vacuum for any dust. I think this is what helped mine to last so long. Once mine died, I flipped off the metal frame off to look at the fan. Even though I cleaned the mesh all the time, there was a lot of dust there. I am thinking that if we had of been able to turn off the machine and flip off that mesh every month and wipe down the blade, then perhaps this fabulous Chiller would have lasted longer.
I do have to say, that mine was still working just not the chiller since December 2015 but I wasn't prepared to pay for a new filter January 2016 just in case it stopped working soon.
There is nothing else out there that I am even interested in. In my opinion and my husbands, this was the perfect chilller and hopefully, one day it will return. I am missing it so much
Worked for us – We have had the WF7550 for about 4 years now and had no problems with it until a few weeks ago when it stopped chilling but with any cooling appliance the refrigerant should be service by a qualified engineer yearly. I will be buying a new model asap because they do work. Chilled water
Dont buy this product - Waste of money – First purchased the WF6800 model in 2008. After 6-10months the chiller stopped working and exchanged it with another unit where 6-10months later the same thing happened. Anyway went backwards and forwards to the store for exchanges and in 2011, the store manager recommended me to the newer and later model the WF7550, and told me it was a more reliable version. This was the worst mistake ive made as this unit lasted until 2013(about 16-18months) by which time the warranty had expired and the Chiller also stopped working. Unlike the WF6800 and WF7500 where it was within the 12months warranty period and I got an exchange, I lost my money with the WF7550. I have since thrown the unit in the council clean up and will not be going back as ive learnt from my mistake. I did contact sunbeam and got the usual 'oh you must have had the bad luck as I have a unit like this and its lasted 5 years'. I now have a jug in the fridge and its the best decision ive made. house and this is much easier and less expensive than a full on filter system. The filters are actually cheaper than the refrigerator jug type filters and you don't have the delay while it filters. tap is great. size is great, cost is great.It's efficient as well The chiller stopped working
Waste of money – A filter jug in my fridge at a quarter of the cost provides what this does not. DO NOT FALL INTO THE SAME TRAP AS ALL THE PEOPLE IN THESE REVIEWS (including myself). Kmart do a cheap version that lasts and is just as good. To start with it was great to get filtered and chilled water. It does not live up to what it was sold to me for - providing chilled and filtered water. The chilling broke down and the filters are now a crazy price.

beautifully to begin with. The outlet is tall enough to fit a sports bottle underneath, in order to fill it. Easy to fill. The chiller stopped working within months.

Apart from the broken cooling elements, this unit is very noisy, and has a very bright backlight. The chilling when it worked. The filters when they were less than half the price of what they are now. Chilling broke on three occasions, very bright light, way too noisy, lifetime warranty that doesn't last lifetime, sucked in into buying very expensive filters.

Disappointed! – I have purchased two of these water purifier/chillers, one for myself and one as a gift and both the chillers broke after about a year. Was a fantastic product at first, especially with the filters only needing replacement every 6 months. I would never buy another and now have to figure out what to buy as a replacement.
No more sunbeam – We have gone through 6 units in the last 3 years. The last one died after 15 months working, lucky i bought extended warrenty. Replaced it with their current model. Don't bother!!! – I have purchased 5 of these units over the last couple of years - 2 for my home, 2 for work, 1 for my holiday home and 1 for my sister - only ONE of them still chills the water - rubbish product. Will not be purchasing anything Sunbeam ever again Nothing Chiller stopped working on 4 of the 5 machines I purchased
2nd time unlucky – Just had my second one stop chilling. Contacted Sunbeam to see what they could do, the customer care operator could not have cared less. He basically told me I had 2 years from it and that was pretty good. I will not be buying this product from Sunbeam again, it is rubbish!! Stopped chilling the water after 2 years, lack of customer service.

sitting on the paperwork for 10 days, a rep came back and said the unit wouldnt be covered under warranty as the cause of the electrical short was due to a cockroach. Being very sceptical of this, I asked for the unit to be returned, long story short, after another 15 days they advised the item was indeed lost in transit. Note the unit was not sent via registered post as one would expect, it was sent via standard post, so there was no tracking #. Convenient excuse or what??
Come on Sunbeam do the right and conscionable thing by your customers, admit there is a serious electrical issue with your product by issuing a full product recall.. not just a weak product discontinuation, do you really think your customers are mugs? 2nd One - Chilling has stopped – I am on my second one and both times the chilling stopped. Based on previous reviews this seems to be the norm for this product. It is under 2 years old. Based on what I am seeing and my actual experience - I will not be buying Sunbeam again. I would not recommend. It is a good size Expensive to relace every 12months or so....

Sunbeam just don't care – Bought a Water Purifier and Chiller 18 months ago and it has stopped chilling. I knew it was out of warranty, but phoned Sunbeam to see if it could be repaired. The Kitchenware staff and I have developed a close personal relationship to the point where I am thinking of inviting them to our Christmas Dinner at home. The good thing is that I have never had to replace the filter. This is recommended to be done every twelve months and not one of our six machines has lasted that long. On the remote chance that one of them does last longer than one year, when I exchanged my fifth unit for my sixth in February, I also bought a two-year extended warranty from Myer, which extends my warranty period to three years. We currently have our fifth unit sitting in the sink because it started leaking all over the bench. This one holds the record. It lasted two days before dying. The second last one lasted just under a month before shedding its guts all over the bench. The previous three had relative longevity, lasting anywhere from five to nine months and just stopped chilling the water. Fortunately all passed away within the warranty period and i must applaud Myers for being extremely co-operative with changing them over. However, my sister-in-law's third unit, which she brought home last week, started to leak as she was filling it up the very first time (she holds the family record .... ).
I'm going to persist with these machines as, when they are working, they are just what our family of four requires. With the last one I exchanged, I also purchased the Myer 2-year extended warranty for $29.00, giving me three years of warranty coverage. I'm going to financially ruin Sunbeam. Mwah hah hah ........ certainly isn't the product to go with - cuisinart have one with a 3 year warranty. It might be a bit more expensive, but when its going to last 3 times as long (at least), its the way to go.

the flow of water was considerably (irritatingly so) slower than ours.
I really did love this chiller & was a bit sad when the replacement died. Its a real shame it is effectively a "lemon", because I really liked it & did rave about it to friends until it died. Great styling. Good sized reservoir. Quite expensive compared to others. Stopped working. Twice.
