Terrible online customer service – When asking for help with a bit of tech information, I’d like a simple answer and not be sent links to pages and pages of tech info to ploughing through And more than one line of communication at a time would be good - getting information is like pulling teeth. Went to order and found so many red flags... But at the end i cant fault the transaction – EOFY is the time to restock, but after selecting $700 worth of 0.5m Patch cables they wanted to charge OVER $200 SHIPPING! No option to collect. Australian Business might as well give them a go as being a business owner i know some customers use these things to blackmail businesses.
Sent them the $700 and waited for them to correct the shipping, they sent back a message saying it would be $29.95, cant fault that, transferred the money and the box arrived a few days later with ATL at my front door straight from manufacturer. Couldn't be happier.
Will be buying from these guys again....
Thieves and deceivers! – They steal money from buyers! This company deceive buyers. They send me a defective and very old and heavily used device and when I asked for a refund they just ignored me! More than one month I tried to return my money back, but they just give me empty promises and do nothing! P.S. These people must seat in prison.

Terrible service when things go wrong – Any company looks good when things go well. It's how a company handles problems that sets them apart. They were slow to ship but I eventually received my order. Then there was a problem with one of the products bought from them. Initiating a return proved a nightmare. They tried to palm me off to the manufacturer. I point out this is not how consumer law works. Then they just stopped communicating. Definitely avoid them at all costs.
Hopless company to deal with be careful! – Need additional ID verification if you use a free email address ie gmail. Have to agree with other comments - terrible service – Took 17 days from software order for it to be dispatched despite attempting to communicate with the company on a number of occasions.
The worst service performance I have ever seen – Paid for two new server power units 8 days go - supposedly despatched at day 3 - made a phone call day 8 to ascertain whereabouts of goods...supposedly despatched day 8. email sent indicating courier details on day 8 to track despatch (contacted courier - no records of despatch!). I can't say my experience was very bad with them but I was not impressed and am reluctant to order again.
When I passed the order online, it was marked delivery 1-3 days but it took 9 business days. Had they been proactive and informed me it would take that long, I would have been fine with it but the fact is I had to contact them.
Regarding my experience with their staff over the phone, it didn't take too long to talk and discuss the issue.
Don't honour their contract to deliver, or take responsibility – I brought an item from Tech4U. They were prompt in preparing the order and shipping, but that is where the nightmare started. They shipped with StarTrack who didn't deliver. In the end, I had to travel a long distance (passing other computer shops) to collect the parcel myself. with Tech4U and THEIR sub-contractor failed in their duty. My contract is with Tech4U, not Startrack. I asked for a refund of shipping from Tech4U - who could then get a refund from StarTrack via their Account Manager. However, Tech4U management refused to do this.
You judge a company by how they handle problems. I judge Tech4U very poorly. If you use them, be wary.

money for me via the buyer protection plan. The payment had gone through, approved by my bank and by paypal. The next day i received an email saying that because i was a first time customer they needed to verify who i was, for security purposes. The whole reason businesses accept paypal is so they don't need to worry about verifying who their customers are because paypal has already done that for them. They needed an isp email address or an employer phone number. I use live.Com so there's no isp email address to give them. I'm also a stay-at-home carer for my children on the autism spectrum, so no employer phone number either. After explaining this to them over the phone i was flat out told that they would not be able to do business with me unless i paid via direct deposit..... What??? They already had my money in their paypal account!!!! I'm not stupid enough to pay them twice!!!!! All i could do was tell them to cancel the order, which got done before i'd even hung up the phone. My live.Com email notified me of the cancellation instantly. They then said it would take 48 hours for a refund. I've since reported them to the dept of fair trading and to paypal, who confirmed with me that they had no right to ask for further information or payment. I'm not expecting them to actually hit the refund button. Like i said earlier, i'm just happy i paid via paypal, because i'm guaranteed a refund eventually. Avoid this company at all costs!!!! Discrimination against people who don't have employers or ISP email addresses. This company is just full of itself. They shouldn't be allowed to legally trade in Australia.

DOA. I contacted returns line and was told to get a service case number from ASUS. Did that and registered a replacement request to Tech4U online with ASUS number.
A month passed and nothing happened. Website return info wasn't updated. When I first started phoning I was referred back to Asus. Then Asus referred me back to Tech4U. Repeated calls to Tech4U every day for a week always resulted in staff saying the returns guy wasn't available and they would call me back. They never did. Eventually asked me to email the returns address. Got an email saying returns manager would get back to me. Never did. So I sent another email complaining about that.
Finally, without any contact to apologise or ask how I wanted to progress it, I received an email saying my payment (that they had hung on to for a month) was being refunded (within 24-48) hours.
They shot themselves in the foot on that one, as I was urgently in need of a tablet and by this time would have happily paid more and upgraded to a another model if they asked me!
I am still waiting for the refund, but regardless I will cancel my subscription to their daily emails and won't go near them again.
Beware. Worst customer service I have experienced in years!! Good price. Rapid shipping Poor organisation of returns, failure to update or progress a replacement. Don't return or respond to calls or emails. Stonewalled me for a month and then instigated a refund rather than requested replacement.

Never Buy Cheap Stuff - Go Direct To Manufacturer Site If You Can! – These guys are not here to help you! forget it! there is no free lunch! buy from someone you know who has good review and previous experince. 10 March 2013 passed by and still nothing so rang them this time and only to be told it will arrive on 22 March 2013. Come the date, no show again. These customer service reps have no ideas when the item will be shipped or not, all ETAs are just a made-up date. The communication between them and the warehouse is appalling and totally unprofessional. All the positive feedbacks they received and woo-haa about themselves written on their website are just a total rubbish which they simply can't deliver.
They cannot keep track of what's available or not, very vague, no apologies said, misleading etc. Their customer service people on the phone seriously need training in customer service (but then again maybe its not their fault but how could they bear to work with a mob-boss in a disorganized environment with unhappy customers calling them all day like that).
WA Computers, Tech4u and Megabuy are all the same company (yes they are trading under different name but run by the same mop). Service are really bad, I thought having to wait 3-4 weeks for good to be delivered from China is bad but taking 5 weeks (and still can't deliver and ended up had my money refunded) is just bad and embarrassing when it happened here in Australia. They just give a local online retailers a bad feeling and trust. Really the whole process was a nightmare.
Customer Service Reps never bother to email or ring to tell you what's going on. You instead have to run around ring and emailing them worrying requesting explanation about the item. Email responses have been very vague. For example you asking things what you need to know and tell them to advise you about few things and all you get back in email response is "We shall look into this, thank you for your time" I mean what the hell was that? I never received an apology for their bad service and incompetence - in other word, they simply don't care.
So I personally would never go near them buying anything or have anything to do with these people and would tell my friends to stay away from them. In the future, I would have look and Google to find review or feedback about retailers before committing buying anything - so thought I give bit of advice and relay my unpleasant personal experience. As mentioned I finally got my money refunded on the 4 April 2013. Price (does come with a price) Customer service is totally unprofessional.

Will not be going back – Very poor service, failed to send drives that were on back order even though they came into stock twice. They always say they will get it sorted but then do nothing. Trying to get credit not having much luck so far, I have sent 29 emails trying to get sorted wish I had checked them out first. They also trade as WA Computers and there site say WA based but I doubt it. Stay clear of these guys. Very poor customer service

Worst online shopping experience ever – Purchased some software off theses guys. I read all glowing reports. Delivery by courier in 2 days. Sounded great. Now nearly 3 weeks later.$620 lighter and 5 phone calls by me (never them) and 4 emails, I am down the police station reporting fraud and getting a visa dispute return. Absolutely the worst company in Australia. Read all the forums about these guys. I didn't and am paying for it.

I've never had an email replied to, and to call them means 20 mins (minimum) on hold each time. Impossible to contact. None of their stock is actually 'In Stock' despite the website saying it is. They're a dropship operation with no warehouse of their own.
1 week later, no refund to be seen, I'm going to my bank to recover the money. I shop online a lot and this is the worst experience by a long shot.

obtaining it. They suggested another monitor but could not guarantee delivery same day or even the next day. I cancelled the order and it still took another 6 days to receive the refund even though I was told this would be processed the same day I cancelled. Would never use again. Good ending - I actually sourced the preferred monitor from DIck Smith $5 cheaper than this hopeless Tech4U.
Customer service problems – Title says it all really, wrong product, time to take to find the returned computer in the warehouse, stories changed. Received, Waiting to Confirm Payment” stage.
4. I attempted to call or “chat” several times to no avail (no answer and no response on “chat”)
5. I finally sent an email on Saturday, 09 July, 2011 to cancel the order as there was no longer a hope of it arriving in time (it was still “Order has been Received, Waiting to Confirm Payment” stage).
6. I called on Monday morning to confirm the cancellation (got through after 5 tries), and was told that the charge had gone through just minutes before my call
7. The refund finally went through on the 14th of July
8. The refund was NOT the amount that had been wrongfully charged!!! It was short by $6.84…
9. I called on 1/8 and was told that this was for the credit card surcharge and that it was their standard practise to deduct it from refunds.
10. When I wrote the "Operations Manager", he basically said that he didn't have time and that I should have read the terms and conditions.
Be warned...they will rip you as much as they can. prices horrific business practises
Failed to ship a printer cartridge – Terrible service. Despatch is very slow, and customer service is non-existant, apparently run by a couple of 16 year olds and a manager who probably doesn't exist. Don't try to ask for truthfull answers or they will just hang up on you. I suspect everything is drop-shipped (they don't have the stock themselves) so they really have no idea what is going on.
They refused to ship my order to me because they say they couldn't verify my identity - even though they already had my money and the delivery address was the same as the previous order I had with them.
They cancelled the order, and I am still waiting for them to refund my money a week later. Thankfully I paid by Paypal so they will retrieve the money for me. Apparently good prices and promises of fast delivery and good service. Hidden costs, slow/non delivery and NO service. Rude staff who hang up on you when you ask questions.

However, I am PAYING for a courier and yet it will take a week or more.
