This slow cooker has worked well for me for a number of years. However, the lid attached to the slow cooker does not shut tightly anymore like it used to when I first bought the slow cooker. I still use my slow cooker but I put a heavy pot lid on top of the normal lid to keep the lid shut. Show details · 3
Easy to use – Yes, very easy to operate and only a couple of pieces to clean when done. Sadly though it doesn't have a timer on it which would be very useful. Also, the water levels are stamped on the inside of the bowl but are dark against the dark bowl so very hard to see what level your on. Show details
Cook dinner all in 1 appliance – Fantastic as I can put the slow cooker meal at the bottom, add vegetables to steam at the top, close the lid, set to cook & leave. Later on , everything is ready, no mess & all parts fit easily into the dishwasher. Great on days where you don’t want to heat up the kitchen but still want a decent meal. Show details
3 in 1!! Does what is says! – Known for its great quality, I love using this cooker because it can be a slow cooker, steam cooker and a rice cooker depending on your mood. It is easy to clean and use. The only downside is the container that catches the steam/excess water is tiny so sometimes water does spill at the back. Show details
Stands through time – Pros: This Tefal 3 in 1 multicooker is very easy to use. The digital display and sounds alerts you when certain stage is finish (ie: rice cooking or rice warming). Nice black sleek design and easy to clean. Cons: Bit pricey compared to others on the market that has more functions than this. Show details
Great tool – Very useful, easy to maintain, I can use it to cook soups, stew, rice, and a poor thing never miss a day from cooking. I am loving it, saves me from worrying if the food is going to get burn, I don't have to check it all the time. Great to cook ox tail stew, I just organised all the ingredients in the morning, load them in it and flick the button… Read more
call start cooking ,and then let it cook while you are at work , coming home after a long day at work, dinner is cooked..wow!!!!! Perfect. Rice it will take about 20 mins to cook....
Great cooker but slow at rice – It makes the perfect rice but because it has a solid thick container perhaps, it takes a long time to cook rice. I haven't used it for anything else. However it's way more capable. If only for rice cooking I liked my older cheaper cooler which had a thin container which was much quicker Show details
This rice cooker ticks all the boxes! – I have found that this rice cooker does everything it has been advertised to do. For the $90 it cost me I get a lot of use out of it. This rice cooker features 3 cooking programs. Obviously you are able to cook rice with it, however you can also steam veggies and use it as a slow cooker. I have used the steaming option on many occasions,… Read more · 1
mainly for veggies as mentioned. However, the machine shines when using the steaming function to steam dumplings. I have not had the chance to use the machines slow cook function yet - but with rain and cold, that may soon change.
The machine itself is painfully easy to use. When finished using the machine, and cleaning it, there is the pan which is super easy to wash/soak/or put in the dishwasher. The other two parts can also be placed in the dishwasher. Making this machine no fuss at all to clean.
Broken – I just got back from being away on holidays and it just won't cook rice. The light on the cooker won't come on and it's frustrating since i eat rice everyday. Nothing wrong with the power points as my kettle and other appliances work just fine. The rice cooking function worked just fine at the start but UGH. KILL ME NOW. Show details
Couldn't even get started! – We bought this to replace a rice cooker and we also wanted a slow cooker so thought this would be perfect except that the pre-use instructions are so complicated with the tiniest little drawings that were incomprehensible. You have to remove the inner lid and then push up and remove the pressure valve for washing. I am good at following manuals… Read more
but after 45 minutes we took it back to Domayne and the salesman (with help from a colleague and with some difficulty) managed to remove it and washed it and replaced it for us.
When I cooked rice that night the lid popped open half way through and wouldn't stay closed! We turned it off and fiddled about with the inner lid and eventually managed to get it going again. The rice was good but it was traumatic.
However I then read that you're supposed to remove the pressure valve for washing every time!!! We still don't know how to do it.
I agree - the numbers on the side of the bowl are not at all clear.

Brilliant rice cooker – I've had mine for eight months. I use it almost every day to cook rice - brown, jasmine, basmati, long or short grain etc.. Reliable and cooks rice well. I like the automatic warm function as it keeps the rice warm while I finish cooking the rest of the meal. The lid is a bit hard to clean and needs wiping after use. I wash the inside metal bowl in my dishwasher. Still looks great and non stick. Cooker works great, no complaints ☺ Show reply
Enjoy using my 3 in 1 – So easy to operate. Rice came out fantastic. Just wish the numbers on the side of the bowl were a bit clearer. Shall be cooking a lot more rice dishes!!!! Great for when I need to cook large amounts of rice for parties and BBQs So much better than my $20 rice cooker.
started good then bad – i use it only for rice cooking and has been working great . bought it just a couple of months ago. Lid was hard to close at times but i found that wiping the top base around helped. Main problem is that as of yesterday the clicker wont hold down at all. Disappointing I just got it and already it doesnt work.

Know better, choose better.
Good rice cooker – No issues so far, cooks fast, easy to use and clean if you read the instructions. Pity the slow cooker doesn't have a timer or a high or low setting though so I will stick to just using it to cook rice which is shame as my husband bought it thinking it would be a good slow cooker
Very messy – After a while I figured out how to get rice to cook properly, although it always burns at the bottom. Always spits out rice water and attracts a lot of cockroaches, and is very hard to clean. Part under lid always falls off, and occasionally the lid doesn't even close and I have to place a weight on top. It cooks rice sometimes Attracts cockroaches, faulty, hard to clean, doesn't cook rice properly
Best buy! – Just used my Tefal 3 in 1 cooker for the first time, after replacing another brand rice cooker I'd had for several years & needed replacing, the meal was delicious. I've learnt to always use more liquid in a rice cooker than you normally would making rice or risotto in a saucepan, so it is never too dry. I'm interested in trying out the slow… Read more
cooker function as am hoping to take this cooker away in our campervan around Australia ... the perfect all in one pot cooking ! Simple, easy, quick, delicious
Don't bother – I totally regret buying this rice cooker. I bought this on sale from Myer to replace an old traditional rice cooker and I got sold on the modern look and the 4 in 1 features of the rice cooker. After using it for the first time, I totally regretted it! My main issues with this rice cooker is that it's really hard to read the number inside the… Read more
black pot/container of the rice cooker; and it does not have a lid so I cannot easily place unused rice in the fridge. I am of Asian descent and cook rice a lot so I should have stuck to the basic rice cooker. This rice cooker looks good externally but is badly designed inside. The external look Hard to read number inside the container. No lid for the pot so you can not easily put in fridge.
Terrible – I purchased my Tefal 3 in 1 a couple of years ago from The Good Guys. I liked the black and stainless steel look and the design of the carry handle. In the store it looked great and was priced well. I took it home and from the first time I used it I realised that it is a terrible rice cooker. It has never cooked rice properly once, the rice either… Read more
burns at the bottom or is too dry at the top. I found that the only way I can cook a half decent batch of rice is to cook it for 15 minutes, then mix the bottom rice in with the top rice and cook for another 10 minutes. This is extra work and it's frustrating to do. I wouldn't recommend the Tefal 3 in 1 to anyone Long lasting (unfortunately) Does not cook rice evenly
Disappointing, good brand but below expectation – I bought Tefal 3 in 1 around 10 days ago and very disappointed. 1. My rice is too dry. 2. It splashing lots of starch water from the vent. It is quite dangerous since it spash to the cable. Lucky nothing happen & it didn't burnt. And it is unclean as well since the starch water will become dry & need some effort to clean the top & vent area. I… Read more

Don't buy a TEFAL 3 in 1 – Not impressed with either of the three modes of cooking. Rice has been dry and disappointing. Steamer does not match my pressure cooker for results nor does the slow cooker. I wish I had spent $20 and bought a new basic rice cooker. I Wish I had read the reviews first. the idea So far, it is just a disappointment
So far so good – I got this rice cooker as a replacement for a defective and discontinued Sunbeam product. I've been consistently cooking rice every single day for a week. The cooked rice is much more fragrant than using my previous Sunbeam. So far so good. I'm not sure about slow cooking and steaming functions because I only need a rice cooker and it does its job… Read more
really well. On another note, I do believe if one wants a slow cooker, crockpot slow cooker is the best choice because non-stick pot is never built to last, let alone to withstand extended time of heating. Inexpensive, cooks perfect rice. So far have not found any.
Not sure – I bought this to replace a rice cooker. I had been thinking of getting a slow cooker, so thought I was catching two birds with one stone. Rice cooks ok, I think I was doing it better on the stove. The steamer is good, but you have to turn it of by yourself, otherwise it will just keep going... I've used the slow cooker a couple of times. The first… Read more
time wasn't bad, I did a meat one. The second time I was attempting to do a vegetarian curry (potato, pumpkin and cauliflower) I had it on for a long time and the potatoes were still hard. So all in all, not too sure about it, yet.... 3 functions in one machine, sounds good... Quality of the different functions...
This is disappointing! Does not cook rice properly – We purchased this Tefal rice cooker to replace a $10 Tiffany rice cooker. We are Asian and cook rice every day. This Tefal rice cooker does not cook rice properly. The rice is hard in the middle and does not cook evenly. I will never purchase another Tefal product again after this buying this rubbish. This is the worst rice cooker I have ever owned. Looks good and looks like a quality product. Does not cook rice properly
