Terrible Experience – Terrible company. Overpriced and low quality. George is very unreasonable and hard to work with.
Excellent Work. Would gladly recommend! – The Shower Doctor Perth fixed my leaking shower and left it looking brand new. Tradesman was really friendly and went over and above to make sure every little thing was done perfectly. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I would happily recommend them to anyone.
Unfortunate Experience And Poor Customer Service – Had a good experience with their quoting and inspection department. Not so with the technician or management. The Shower Doctor squeezed my job in (waterproof one shower) for which I was grateful, as the property was listed for lease and had open days that weekend. The technician arrived and dropped oil all over the newly painted drive-way (side issue, not relevant) and completed the work. I inspected the shower and looked around the bathroom and the shower looked fine and the technician left. Discovered after he left, that he had tipped his waste (epoxy, tile dust, etc.) down the toilet and closed the lid so it wasn't found immediately. The porcelain was lightly scratched where he had tried to remove the deposit as, funnily enough, it didn't flush down the pipe well and instead adhered to the bowl. :-| I spent a couple of hundred to have someone come out specially on a Saturday (and they had to return on the Sunday to complete as they needed acid to remove the epoxy mix) to finish the clean up. When I approached The Shower Doctor about this first thing Monday with photos, etc. I initially got a good response, then the manager got involved and said it was feces left by someone else and they weren't responsible and because I hadn't given them the opportunity to come out and fix, it was all my problem. He was so rude and made the basest assumptions about what it was without even asking any questions. How on earth could I not have noticed the smell of feces? Or his technician for that matter, as he worked in that bathroom for hours. NB: the property was vacant and had just been renovated and painted throughout. I was polite and sent him the invoices I paid and even deducted the call out fee I was charged, which was substantial because it was urgent weekend work. The Shower Doctor manager requested my evidence and I provided and asked one simple question, "exactly where does your technician say he put his waste?" No answer. I emptied and photographed the rubbish in my bin before it was emptied and I witnessed he did not carry any waste to his car. And it have some of what was removed by the cleaning company. Two months later I get a statement asking me to pay the balance. The Shower Doctor agreement says exactly what they will provide and that includes clean-up, instead I had to paint my drive way again (luckily I had paint left over) and pay someone to do their clean up and repair the minor damage. Doesn't seem to be damage/blockage to the drain thankfully and sure hope the shower doesn't leak now as that would be insult to injury. I personally would not use them again and recommend anyone who does to monitor the work and clean-up carefully.
The Shower Doctor Perth, be wary, quote process great, execution of the work a let down – Quoted 22 April 2015 for two bathrooms, waterproofing membrane to be pumped in, hairline tile cracks to be fixed and grout to be redone. The quote itself was impressive and the chap who did it spent a lot of time doing drawings and examining what needed to be done. When the emailed quote arrived it included those drawings and also references. However, execution of the work required was a let down. The first attempt was on 4 May. We came home to find our ensuite had a new small hole in it, adhesive all over the floor of it and the bathroom basin, and while we expected some dust, we didn't expect the amount that was there, nor for it to be tracked through the house. The main bathroom grouting of floor/shower base was abysmal and looked like a DIY effort, and indeed looked much worse than it did initially. When we contacted The Shower Doctor and emailed photos they themselves expressed disgust and I believe they fired the technician who did (or didn't) do it. Second attempt, much less mess and the ensuite was completed to our satisfaction, but the main bathroom tiling still looked much the same. After contacting the company, there was a third attempt at the main bathroom, which achieved nothing. I believe that the first technician put far too much grout in and the only way to fix it really is to drill the grout out (but there is so much over the tiles that the tiles will have to come out), and that The Shower Doctor themselves as well as ourselves have been victims of their first technician. We have now just paid an adjusted invoice with a third off the original price and next week I will be contacting a tiler to get the shower base/bottom of shower sides retiled, which I am sure will cost us more than the third difference with the original quoted amount. We paid The Shower Doctor because they have waterproofed both showers, the ensuite now looks good and the did sincerely try to address the problem. BUT, we are now off to find a tiler to fix a problem that wasn't there at the time of initial quotation.
