What a joke – Advised watch was in stock. Agreed to use them so as to stay 'local' even though it was more expensive. Charged my credit card more than the agreed price and then emailed to say actually not in stock. Therefore no xmas present. Have disputed the transaction and now considering police action after reading all the reviews.

Very late refund, no excuses emailed – I tried to buy a phone (Sony Xperia Z1 compact) of TipTop Electronics around the 31st of July 2014. They first told me it would be delivered to me within 5 working days (which I needed, as I was moving out to USA for 3 months, starting the 11th of August). After transferring the money to them, calling them straight away and asking for the… Read more

shipment, they assured me it would arrive to me in time. After not receiving it within 5 working days, I called again, they told me it would be late and would not arrive before the 11th of August.

I told them I would want my money back (refund) as quickly as possible and that I was not happy. They said that they understood it and would refund the money.

I have emailed them amost weekly, asking for the refund, with very little answers from them (every other email or so or no answer for 3 weeks), finally after 2,5 months (!!!!) I now have my refund. No excuses were emailed, no explanation, no present/gift as part of their customer relations or anything, nothing...

I do not know if this is normal for them, I only know that I would not recommend anyone to buy from TipTop electronics from my experience.

Just wanted to share this with you all

Warning - they will rip you off – I purchased a $1500 item and promised delivery in the same week. Used PayPay thinking I was protected - wrong. After two weeks of failed promises and assurances claiming it was sent I lodged a complaint with PayPal. Because they supplied a tracking number (within minutes of lodging the complaint) PayPay dismissed the complaint after a few days.… Read more

Since PayPal dismissed the claim the supplier wont respond to correspondence. Six months later and still nothing. Thankfully I paid using my credit card and the bank refunded me.

They essentially make promises like 'its in stock', 'can ship today from Melbourne', will send tracking when provided by the warehouse and when you lodge a complaint with PayPal (within minutes) they provide tracking. Check the tracking to find something was being shipped from HK but it never arrives.

Unprofessional and unethical - avoid this company!!! – Ordered a Lenovo yoga 2 thinkpad from tip top electronics. I paid the full amount the same day and was contacted by the sales department confirming that the order would be received in 2 - 3 days. A week later and no laptop. Every time I called or emailed (which was numerous times) they assured me that it was being dispatched today. 14 days later… Read more

it finally arrived. The laptop itself was also very dissappointing. It has not been designed for the Australian market. It has spanish (I think) all over the keyboard and the powerlead does not fit Australian power outlets. I would have thought this was something that should be mentioned when purchasing the product. They have thrown in an adaptor so that it can be plugged into an Australian 240V power point but for me this is a sub-standard solution (and against lenovo's product use terms). I have emailed a complaint and received no response. I have reemailed my complaint and received no response. I have called with my complaint and been told that someone would contact me back... still nothing.

Again - avoid this company. They are unprofessional and unethical.

Service is terrible. Product was not as described

Extremely Disappointed - do not use these guys – I ordered an unlocked i5s phone. Never received tracking number. Every time I emailed to find out status, I was told "it has been sent to shipping and will arrive in a few days/next week/at the end of the week" etc. It never arrived. Luckily I got my money back when I asked for refund.

Why can't Tip Top Electronics be closed down? – Dumb me. When an online company charges $25 for a paypal or credit card transaction and does everything in their power to make you pay by bank deposit, you should know something is fishy. It's been three months after I deposited $1500 in their ANZ "company" account. The account was Melbourne-based so I figured I'd be safe. Wrong! I haven't… Read more

received a thing. Firstly, if you buy, don't expect any assistance via email. You have to call. The first two weeks, when they actually would take my call, the "sales managers" would answer the phone with: "Tehtolecri....:" mumbling so quickly you couldn't understand what business they represented. They could have sixteen fake companies going at the same time. They explained that they haven't received my payment because there is a hold-up at the bank. I called ANZ and they confirmed the transaction went in immediately (I paid via over-the-counter teller deposit at a bank branch - second mistake). The banks can't help me as it isn't a credit card fraud as such where you only need to fill out a claim form and the coppers say because I willingly deposited the money in their account, I have to take it to civil court. More time, more expense, more hassle.

People, if it looks to good to be true it is. Brand "new" computers sold for one third the price of other online stores are either stolen merchandise, second hand junk refurbished as 'new" or merchandise that doesn't exist in the first place. In my experience, it has been the latter. My advice, save up a few more weeks and buy from a reputable Australian online company.

They take and don't give.

One Very Happy Camper!! – I have to say that I purchased an Iphone 5c pink 32gb from this company without researching the company first. Thankfully I can say that I received the phone within the timeframe specified and am very happy with it. My suggestion if you are going to buy online pay via paypal if this is offered as their are protections in place if you don't… Read more

receive your item.

All up I have had a positive experience with Tip Top Electronics Australia and I also saved myself around $150.00 by buying here rather than Apple. I would definitely consider buying from this company again if I needed anything electronic.

Communication was also exceptional. Great Price and great communication

Avoid at all costs – Five weeks ago I bought an $864 notebook from this "company". After not hearing back from them for a few weeks and discovering their Australian website was based in Michigan, America, we called their Australian landline number in Melbourne and spoke to somebody who agreed to refund us within 48 hours. Naturally, this did not occur and when my… Read more

lawyer contacted them today, a different guy with a foreign accent answered and basically laughed at our requests for the money back. He stopped laughing when we told him we would contact the police. Although I am angry, I intend to do everything humanly possible to get my money back and see them prosecuted. In fact, I am happy to dedicate the rest of my life to finding these people and stopping them scamming anybody else.
