Tom Tom 730 – I've had this unit for 4 years and it's done well when I hear about people's experience with other units. I consider Tom Tom maps are too expensive and lack some accuracy however I double check when travelling with paper map if uncertain. Overall a good unit although never achieved standalone battery life. I always have on charge. Pretty good accuracy and has been very reliable. Battery life in hours not as claimed

Terrible Product – I have been using this product for a while. It seemed good initially but after a while I started having problems with its battery. First of all battery seems to discharge pretty fast so every time I use it I have keep it plugged on. Now it does not charge et al. Customer service is not helpful et al. Easy to use Battery is of poor quality. Bad customer service.

Excellent – Update I felt it was worth mentioning the latest maps with this unit now with the latest firmware is running way better when I first bought. The only down thing is the volume setting seems to be lowered. Latest update fixes the FM Transmission lower volume setting for the latest firmware update

Terrible – When driving to Melbourne airport we turned onto the eastern freeway one turn before the one suggested by the unit(which was incorrect anyway). From then on all the way to the airport it kept trying to redirect us back to the turn avoided. If we didn't have some local knowledge of the route we would never have made it. The jukebox constantly stops playing and the only way to overcome this is to turn off the unit, remove the flash card and re-insert it the turn the unit back on. When the “Line-out (audio cable)” option is selected the unit only played via the internal speaker. The connection tip of the car charger came away from the charger when it was removed from the in car power source. This unit has been nothing but trouble since purchased. It certainly does nothing for the reputation of TomTom products Advance lane guidance; touch screen very responsive Keeps falling off windscreen; bluetooth keeps dropping out; jukebox constantly malfunctions; short battery life; doesn't remap your route if you vary from the one it sets
