Excellent fridge. No complaints – This fridge is fitted into a 30 ft caravan running solely on solar for the past 8 years without a fault. It draws 8.5 amps across a 1500 watt pure sign wave inverter which is less amps draw than 2 small 12 volt car fridges which draw 4.5 amps each. And I have 382 ltrs not 150 ltrs using 2 car fridges. Motor seems ok but body has issues – The stainless Steel finish on this fridge was very short lived. It is covered with very fragile plastic grey finish over the s/s which scratched like crazy very quickly. The crisper and shelves were of a terribly brittle plastic which cracked when removing for cleaning. A few years in and I am left with a functional fridge that looks terrible and is almost impossible to find replacement parts for. Wouldn't buy Toshiba again.
Terrible – Terrible. I will never ever own a Toshiba model of any description ever again and I wish I had read a few more reviews before buying this one. You live you learn. It has a cool blue light when you open the fridge door and stainless steel. * The Sensor in the freezer did not work after 2 months of purchasing (currently owned it for 4 months at time of this review). The company looking after the waranty used a supplier that as yet have taken 2 times to review and still have not fixed the problem which has resulted in me losing two lots of frozen goods in the freezer with no thought to provide a fridge temporarily while they try to fix the problem. I'm hoping to be third time lucky when the supplier comes to fix it again.
I also own one.....i got the extended warranty....thank god....1 month out of standard warranty the the entire 'power board'...i think...blew. The fridge would have been a total write off. Will never get this brand again either.
Ive had one for 2 years....it works fine and doesnt smell. :)
Buzz36: i have exactly same problem in Thailand!!! Everytime i close the fridge the freezer will open. Really disappointed!
Excellent – Best fridge out there - sterilizes and disinfects the air! Eliminates the gas that fruits emit which causes them to ripen! What a great idea! Easy to move on wheels, very sharp looking. Glass front is easy to clean and sterilize! If you have children this is the best fridge to prevent sickness from food spoilage! Kills bacteria in meat compartment.
Removes things that cause fruit to age quickly,
Sterilizes the air.
VERY nice and cold! Nothing. I love it.
