Uniden TRAX 5000

Worst GPS I've ever used – Returned it to Officeworks after only 3 weeks. Firstly the stylus pen thingy (which is a gimmick only)broke almost immediately meaning it couldn't be retracted from the unit. OK, so that aside....the GPS was hopeless anywhere than the CBD. I tried to use it in Ballarat and Horsham with very limited success. I had a TomTom for 4 years and when it was time for an update I thought I'd try the Uniden. Compared to the older TomTom and Garmin, which we use in our work vehicles, the Uniden is a joke. It was almost laughable just how inaccurate and hopeless it was. At one stage it had me turning right onto the freeway, problem was it was telling me to enter the freeway the wrong way down an off-ramp.
Top marks to Officeworks though. They took one look at it and fully refunded my money. They said they'd had plenty of them returned. Even they knew how hopeless they are.
I've now gone back to a TomTom. Far from perfect but a whole lot better than the Uniden. They should tick to making cordless phones.
Everything. Poor Quality. Slow map changes and VERY inaccurate mapping.
