Junk – This is the greatest piece of Junk we have ever owned. Worse still it is expensive junk. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. The body of the machine is heavy and difficult to maneuver. This is not a vacuum that a frail person could use. My wife is not able to use it. Heavy, hose keep falling off except when you want them off and then they are stuck tight, Junk

This is the Worst-heim!! – The salesman at Godfreys in Bunbury, WA persuaded me to buy this machine... 'My wife loves it'... (I figure now it's because HE didn't have to use it!) His ravings sadly suckered me in and I bought this overpriced piece of junk. The power head function rarely works due to some faulty connection, of course after warranty period. I would never ever… Read more

buy this again. The only thing I liked was that it looked like Darth Vader. So we got to call it the 'Dust Vader.' That's it. Overpriced, the power head malfunctions; the accessories lid snapped off now all the bits fall out.

Wertheim? Never again! – I had my Wertheim 3030T for 5 years. What a hunk of over priced junk! It constantly overheated and needed a little rest before it would work again. The power head broke 3 times and the wand was replaced once. The latest repair quote was over $200. Yesterday I bought a Sebo K3 Premium as recommended by Choice. So much better! Absolutely Nothing! Over heating and constantly needing repairs.

Way overpriced and badly built – We had one for about 5 years, during this time the compartment door broke off, the head started spinning freely, and finally the handle broke apart. It's not very ergonomic either, the attachment of things is rather counter intuitive. The one bad thing was the rug-cleaning head. But for the price...I'd have given it 3 starts if it was $200. As… Read more

it is, it's rubbish.

Get a Miele cat & dog, you get much more for half the price. It was cleaning well, especially the motoric rug-cleaner head. Expensive, falling and braking apart, not ergonomic, not well designed nor manufactured

Piece of overpriced junk – Went to Godfreys to purchase a top of the line vacuum cleaner. Salesman led me to believe I was buying a Rolse Royce of a Vacuum Cleaner. Paid over $800 for a $200 vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner constantly falls to pieces, extension locks up, catch on the lid has broken off, turbo head cable has broken off, the list goes on and on. Terrible – During the warantee period, the main motor burned out. It was fixed. After warantee expired, the vibrating head motor failed, the light failed, the electrical connection on the main handle failed, plastic parts failed, the hose connection to the main unit failed. The vacuum gets very hot. This product is full of faults. Every time you get… Read more

It caught fire – Rubbish the hand piece and vacuum unit caught on fire. We moved over seas and our vacuum cleaner stayed at my brother in-laws place. My brother in-law also had a wertheim only difference his was bag less. One day his wife was vacuuming and the power head on theirs broke down for the nth time in the couple years they've had it for. So she borrowed… Read more

ours and after a while she put the hand piece down to move something when she turned around the hand piece was on fire. Luckily she was next to a door so she put it outside and immediately unplugged the vacuum cleaner from the power point. Next thing she knows the whole vacuum cleaner unit is on fire. For a top of the range vacuum cleaner highly recommended by Godfreys salesman to me this is a poor effort. I would expect 10 years service not a fire after about 2 years. excellent machine when working caught fire after 2 years extremely dangerous

I hate this machine so much! – This would have to be the worst purchase I have ever made. It just doesn't work. On average I can use it for 5-6 minutes until it overheats and dies for several hours. It doesn't suck up the dust and dirt- just clogs up and blocks up. The plastic catch broke and so it doesn't close properly. The powerhead has been replaced twice. sometimes it actually blows dust back into the room. Expensive, unfixable.

Bad – Overpriced piece of junk. It's poorly designed, too heavy, unreliable, and can't be disassembled with anything other than extreme force. For a vacuum cleaner that cost more than a grand, I should have had it for life. Now I don't even know what to do with it. It's useless. When we first got it, it was a very powerful vacuum cleaner and the power… Read more

head worked well. From the start it was impossible for anyone but my husband to disassemble. So if I wanted to remove the head to change or get into corners I couldn't. It was much too tightly put together. Then, within a couple of months, the power head stopped working. This was because the pins in the connection between the wire for the powerhead and the machine became bent very easily, due to poor design. We got it fixed and it worked ok for about a year. But then we noticed that it wasn't sucking properly, and pretty soon we realised that it needed to be "de-clogged" every five minutes. In other words, it became 100% useless as it would clog up almost as soon as you started using it. Then the powerhead broke again! Given that this machine was more than $1000, and Choice had recommended it as one of the best on the market, we are far from impressed.

Do not waste your money!! – This is by far the worst product I have ever purchased. very ordinary – Bought from Godfrey's at Cambridge Tasmania, had nothing but problems with it, always overheating and has now burnt out. The service from Godfreys was not existent, even rude at times when i returned the side plastic extension that had been recalled they didn't even take my particulars correctly. Won't shop there again expensive and not efficient

W3030T - Biggest Waste of Money - do not buy – We were talked into this cleaner by Godfrey's, who described it as the best cleaner on the market. They couldn't be further from the truth. Whilst the machine itself is noisy and rolls over easily, it is… Read more

now next to useless without a power-head or vacuum arm that is in working order.

To replace the head/arm it is over half the cost of the original price of this machine anyway - and would be far better off buying a new brand that is bag less - with no ongoing coasts to buy bags (that were often out of stock). We will also never shop at Godfrey's again for that matter too. When the power head did work - it had good suction - but it didn't work for long. Expensive to purchase, bad warranty, poor after purchase service, broke easily, expensive to replace parts

Godfrey's should be ashamed - Overpriced piece of rubbish to bolter their bottom line – I would have expected at least 10 years service from a $799 machine but this piece of rubbish has been no end of trouble. What power head ? – I bought this machine from Godfreys Hornsby ( its godfreys own brand of vacuum) and whilst it sucks fabulously when the power head is working, it has been a real dissapointment. back to Godfreys and after three weeks finally got the machine back and within weeks the head stoppped working again. I returned the machine again and got a replacement head which seemed to solve the issue... but not for long.

For $600 this machine is a real dissapointment. I guess the ads are right, I should have bought a Dyson ! fabulous suction, big roomy bag Tips easily. The power point protrudes from the machine so if you store it upright the prongs on the plug bend making it harder to plug in. The unreliable power head.

Waste of money – Certainly didn't get my money's worth out of this machine. The power head cord broke after two years. It does, when a new bag is put in its suction is increased.

Terrible – I just feel cheated out of $600. You would think investing this sort of money on a vacuum cleaner the life expectancy would be at least 10 years or more. I too was accused by Godfreys that it must have been the… Read more

way I treated the Werthiem, but I don't understand how there could be some other way of vacuuming your floors besides pushing it back and forth. If there is please let me know. My house is also half carpet and half hardwood flooring. Extremely disappointing. Will never buy this brand again. Yes, it is powerful.

Yes, it picks up dirt.

Yes, the powerhead is great with pet hair.

When it works! The powerhead is quite heavy, and as written in a previous review the unit doesn't turn well and upends itself. It has been back in for repair at least 5 or 6 times under warranty ranging from no power to the powerhead, to cracking of plastic on power head where it connects to rod, also around the handle on rod(later advised because the plastic used was made of recycled material), to powerhead not working on pulling only pushing also. To name a few.

Terrible – I WAS SATISFIED WITH THIS MACHINE UNTIL THIS BASIC PART WAS UNOBTAINABLE. NOW MY $600 VACUUM CLEANER IS TOTALLY USELESS !!!!!!! Good suction Impossible to obtain parts. When I threw away a full bag I accidently threw away the cradle that holds the bag into the machine. It is IMPOSSIBLE TO BUY A REPLACEMENT and my machine is only 2 and 1/2 years old. $600 down the drain for the sake of a small part. Light on power head broke within weeks.

Terrible – The wire that drives the powerhead wraps around the hose, which promptly undoes itself. Mine is now held together with cable ties just so I can do the vacuuming without having to put the hose back in 100 times per session. The power head weighs more than I do and by the time I've finished the vacuuming I'm exhausted. I repeat, do not buy this machine! The design is ridiculous

OK – This has proven to be a disappointing changeover. We have never had an issue with spending money on what we considered the best. attract our custom. Compact and light weight. Cord to the powerhead is now concealed. No doubt a good machine relative to mechanics. Our previous Wertheim (of 4 yrs) was a masterpiece. New Hepa filters are of course the go now, so a change was due. What a disappointment, come down, let down and bad choice. Look the machine works spot on- but user friendly!-NOT.

* The 'Powerheads' power cord pulls/falls out of the main unit too easily. Should have been a bayonet/screw type fitting, and able to swivel to the short section of exposed cord does not wrap the hose and tangle.

*The main plastic handle assembly, where it spigots into the choromed rod, has been design too thin. This area is prone to cracking at the plastic weld line, and when it does- bugger. No Cigar here I'm afraid if your out of warranty.

Excellent – We have had this machine for over 3 years, I have used it every day, sometimes twice a day with two small children. Its easy and light to use and never had a problem with it. falling out.

- The power head was faulty and stopped working. (6 weeks later it was replaced).

However as of late, the power head struggles as if it is loading up and nearly stalls.

- The fitting where the flexible hose meets the on / off switch handle cracked due to the heavy weight of the power head and had to be temporary glued back together.

I will be returning back to godfreys for a replacement power head as I'm still not satisfied with the performance.

A work colleague has a Wertheim 3280. The power lead that connects into the vacuum cleaner also falls out and intermittently cuts out. Another dissatisfied customer.... Godfreys once again.

To sum it up "Disappointing" especially since its supposedly built in Europe.

I will never buy another Wertheim again. Suction is brilliant. The carpet pile stands up tall. Perfect for cat and dog hair. Reliability. In 2 years of service, been in twice for repairs. Very loud unit
