Westinghouse great machine – I purchased this machine, second hand nearly 12mths ago. I don't want to jinx myself writing this however I love it! Much less lint, heaps of options for washing and I love the 30min short wash! Must say, I keep it clean, ie filter and clean detergent tray also I give it an empty run with Bi-card wash and Vinegar rinse, wipe around the rubber seal and always keep the door after after wash to keep possible mould at bay. I don't overload it and it works much better than the top loader I had for 15years. My only complaint is that I have to change the spin to 800 instead of 1200 sometimes as it can vibrate so much I'm scared it might damage itself. I've balanced the legs as best we can, it doesn't move or rock when not being used. The machine is sitting on floorboards, perhaps that the issue, looking for a suggestion here re if there is something else I can do?
Otherwise if and when this one dies, I'll definiately get another front loader and look for a Westinghouse first!

Good till it run out of steam – This machine was running well, considering the loads it was doing. Occasionally had to clean filter, should have put it on a stand, would have been a lot easier to do and a lot less mess. Machine finally died, due to drum bearing wearing out, apparently too expensive to fix, gave it away for free. New "other" brand working fine so far.( 15 minute quick wash cycle) reliable until... must be easier way to balance the load instead of the using 2 tonne weights, no wonder the bearing wears out.
OK – I loved this machine until one day it just died. Had 3 days to go before warranty ran out so am very luck. I am now waiting for a new replacement machine. Great wash and really good features Slow wash cycle unless using the quick wash feature. Died 3 days inside warranty
Good – Well, this is my 3rd review of this machine in nearly 4 1/2yrs of ownership. We have only had 2 issues with it, one in warranty and now one outside. The first is detailed below and was quite minor. This one, however is more major and cost about $200 to sort. Basically, one of the suspension legs wore out. Initially, I was a tad peeved that this had happened on such a young machine, but then realised that for the first 2 1/2yrs of our ownership it had been doing upwards of 20 load of washing a week. Sure, there were not long or heavily soiled (we have a dog with a urinary issue) as it was only once-used, but wet, dog bedding, but it was still a cycle comprising wash, 2 rinses and spins. Given the average use of a machine in Oz is about 7 cycles a week, this means we did 7 1/2 years washing in that time. Pretty good going really and I certainly don't begrudge spending the money to keeping it running. Overall, this machine has been a sopild and reliable purchase. Well done Electrolux (who own the name). How Thai built machines fare compared to this Italian made model is cause for concern. I'm still impressed with the 30/40c quick wash and the ability to open the door part way through a cycle. Solid performing machine. Had to have the suspension looked at late last year at 3 1/2yrs of age.
Terrible – Very disappointing that an apparently sturdy machine would "die" after only 2 years. I will not be chosing a Westinghouse again. Good proce and it washed well. Within 2 weeks of the 2 year warranty finishingh, the electronics died. Estimated cost of repair would be close to $700.
