Westinghouse LT809SA / LT809SAU

Not long now – We've had this machine 2005-2015 and it is still going. We have a family of 7. Never broken a lid but I think a bearing is going as it is getting noisier and spraying a little grease in the floor. It's always been a bit noisy on spin being so big. We mostly wash with cold water and it does okay.

Don't buy. I'm about to buy my 4th lid! – The machine whilst washing as expected as needed to be fixed once due to a blown valve. What has annoyed us the most is that there is clearly a flaw in the lid design with our 3rd lid cracking at both of the connection points to the machine itself. This problem has been the same issue with each lid. We're about to buy our 4th lid. At $100 each I think we've now spent half the cost of the machine on repairs. Not good enough Westinghouse. Wouldn't buy another one.

Reliable..large load washer – After reading the other review I must admit that I went out to check my WM just to see if mine was the same model. My machine has worked flawlessly for (so far)6 years. It has done a good job on all my washing needs including a very gentle delicates and wool cycle. I am so happy I bought this machine and the AAAA water rating was useful to get a government rebate ($150) at the time.

My only whinge would have to be the plastic lid which after 4 years started to crack and is now in quite a delicate state.(even though I never put anything on top of the lid).Replacement cost for the lid is over $100 dollars which I think is Quite exspensive and quite basically a rip off price which will do the brand no favours Reliable Plastic lid
