Go error code 3F yourself Westinghouse – 3F Motor error has been the major fault of this product for life. Have done everything including disassembling connecting components and drain pipes. The culprit component, the motor is pretty much inaccessible without breaking the constituent parts with cutting tools. My plummer won't touch it, the landlord is stumped and an electrician suggested it would be cheaper to get a new washing machine.  Show details

love it – I love my washing machine, Ive had it for over 2yrs now bought it 2nd hand. Love how big it is, all the setting for different washes. I can even do my blankets in it, and it has no trouble washing them. Wouldso buy another one when needed. Two thumbs up

disappointing – slow cycles, excessive lint build-up, spin speeds are not great - things still quite wet. the machine looks OK, the touch panel is logical and works as described but adding clothes during the wash or fill cycle make the whole cycle got so much longer as the auto sensing gets involved . . . . . 4.5 years old and now the gearbox has died and parts are no longer made so it is a write off

Dirty laundry - doesn't remove stains and full of lint – Have had this machine for 9 years - why do crap things last forever? It has a very large load capacity so you can fit lots in, it also has lots of wash settings that you can customize. However my clothes come out full of lint and never ever clean. end of! It has a lint filter which you need to clean out after every wash, even when it… Read more

appears empty you still get lint on the next wash.

I have tried every possible wash programme from 30min soaks, deep soaks, long cycles but still anything with a stain will stay stained.

I would never buy a top loader or Westinghouse ever again. i previous owned a smaller front loading bendix and even though took 90 mins on the shortest cycle everything came out cleaner than clean and lint never needed emptying. Large capacity Doesn't remove stains, lots of lint on clothes especially towels

Good – this machine didnt impress me because of any trendy 'features' as such.. even the sensor wash thingo i didnt actually use [my husband did tho], but i loved it because it washed! & i could fit a full family rough & tough load in, & know it would always come out clean! with no issues.. no gimmick fabric softeners, pre-treaters, stain-removers..… Read more

it washed & rinsed well. Perfectly every time.

drive shaft? gave out 4 years in. so annoyed no replacement part. [and the amount of time of the process of not only finding this out but then also, what to do about it!] washed really well.

usual lint-filter that works the way its meant to, just like all the good ol' top loaders use to!!

it gives you power over your washing, you can either choose to simple options, for the machine to decide for you, or you decide on what you want..

it has an off switch & a lid that can be lifted at any time, so you can soak your clothes for as long as you like, even dye items if you want.. for days at a time.

it did what its meant to.

cycles were efficient - longest cycle 56mins? the beeping was slightly annoying, but it was only brief so okay.

i do prefer machines without all the electronic beepy thingo's.

plastic lid - not as 'heavy duty' as the older generation of top-loaders.

on the high side of water consumption.

Terrible – On the first visit, the repairer said the machine model had a history of problems. I bought this after having previously owned a Fisher & Paykel. I would never own another F & P & now, never have a Westinghouse washing machine. Also, heard of a calleague who's new Westinhouse fridge broke down within the first couple of weeks. The specs look… Read more

great & works without a problem for 2 years. Broke down 1 month after 2 yr warranty ended. Has now broken down 3 times in 2 months with leaks from the valves & now, stopped with a noise when pumping out the water.

Good – This washing machine seemed to be sturdier and a better design than the other top loaders we looked at when shopping around. We also spoke with a reputable Westinghouse appliance repairer in our town, his advice really helped on deciding which machine to finally purchase. We are happy with this washing machine. We wanted to stick with a top… Read more

loading washing machine and after owning this machine for approx. eight months we are very happy with it. There are a few features we really like on this machine, the auto water level senser is great, it has never 'jumped about' from an uneven load like our previous washing machine did and the lint collector works well. Also, the spinning ability of this machine is really good and our clothes dry a lot quicker as a result. I dispense the soap powder/liquid directly into the machine and don't use the built in dispenser, to do this it is recommended to dilute the soap powder in approx. one litre of water first. I've gotten used to doing this now and the clothes do come out a really clean.

Bad – Even though Westinghouse has a 2 year warranty it seems pretty useless if it takes this long to get fixed. Getting clothes washed in Winter is hard enough without losing your washing machine for weeks due to no fault of your own. Auto sensing water level means you don't have to estimate how much water you need for each load. Had the machine less… Read more

than one month and had a 'clutch fault'. The repair man took 1 week to come out and diagnose the problem and now has to order in a new part which could take weeks to arrive. Not happy with Westinghouse at the moment - buyer beware!!

Terrible – Dont worry i was fooled by the AAAAA water saving rating, i honestly believe 4 of those A's should be removed because of the ammount of time ive had to rewash my clothing. I think when u look for a washing maching go for brand name first. it's big, very simple to use, water efficent well its great that this washing machine saves water, well thats… Read more

if you dont care about how your clothing comes out on the other end. ill allabirate a little clothing comes out unclean and baddly wrinkled. ive used nappiesan, ive used bleach im going to try painthinner next, i just cant get my clothing looking half decent. ive had two washing machines before this so i know what im talking about. i also hate how there is a no soak option and how the water wont fill with the lid open, can anyone tell me where the sensor is? i said it was simple to use, thats because there is just not enough options available. ohh and it takes about an hour to wash clothes which is normal, however not for the results
