Effective, easy-to-use freezer – We are very happy with our Westinghouse upright freezer. The 4-drawer storage system makes the freezer incredibly easy to use. You can find the item you want with the minimum of fuss. Our freezer is stored in the garage and it works well even in high temperatures. My only concern would be the operating noise. Being in the garage it doesn't worry us but I wonder if it would be a problem if stored in the kitchen/living area.
Really good freezer – Bought this freezer 2 months ago. No problems so far. Quiet operation and freezes a lot better than my 4 yo Samsung side by side fridge/freezer. At a guess i'd say it's big enough for a family of four. My electricity bill has risen by $5 a week since buying it, however i'm saving much more than $5 a week by being able to store food when it's on special.
Only small problem i was already aware of before buying it is that as i'm 5' 4'' it can be difficult to reach food at the very bottom of the freezer.
My understanding is that Westinghouse will no longer be making freezers as from mid 2015 so this was a good opportunity to buy an Australian made product.
All up, very happy with this freezer
Excellent – We had been looking for a chest freezer for a little while and I was very keen on the Fisher and Paykel. My Mum had advised me to go bigger than the 150L version (which she has) as we have the room. After Christmas I saw the Fisher and Paykel on sale at Harvey Norman so went to have a look. Next to it was the Westinghouse. There wasn't much difference in comparison between the two, but the Westinghouse looked to have a much better seal and a heavier/firmer feel to the lid. I was worried about the Fisher and Paykel not sealing as well so we bought the Westinghouse (slightly more than Fisher and Paykel). So far I am really pleased with it. good seal, spacious, heavy/firm lid nothing at the moment
