Terrible – I inherited this machine when moving in with my fiancee...and after 8 months of use have finally purchased a front loader (yet to take delivery..counting the days!!). This washing machine doesn't clean clothes, and it doens't rinse properly..just fills with water and drains again, my washer doesn't seem to agitate during the rinse cycle (i also don't have it on extra rinse due to Australia being in a drought). Have switched to liquid detergent, tried all temps of water and to no avail The washer will put lint all over any coloured clothes due to having no lint filter. I’ve even run the rinse water into the sink with a plug to see if much lint comes out…and it doesn’t so I guess its all there in the machine ready to jump on my next load of washing. Black and navy clothes have a white residue haze on them (liquid detergent only…and no fabric softener) and anything else has fluff and lint as well. Looked this up on the internet and seems to be a common complaint with this machine, the explanation being I think that because its US machine, they all (apparently …don’t quote me) use dryers a lot more over there to dry washing from wet rather than hang it out and therefore that collects a lot of the lint off the clothes. Also, if I was a really dirty load (fiancée a builder) the dirt in the water doesn’t rinse out, it just collects as wet cruddy, mud on the clothes. If the agitator was removable to clean under (like on FP top loaders) it would make a small improvement, but probably not fix what seems like massive design faults. Ummm.....still thinking...nope, nothing at all Lint and grime slime on clothes

Rough on clothes

Doesn't clean clothes

Terrible – This is the biggest pile of junk money can buy. It is terribly built (the geabox drive coupling is a piece of plastic) If you look under the machine it looks like something a child made with leftovers from Dads Shed. Other than that, it collects lint and dirt from other clothes and distributes it evenly throughout the rest of your wahing. Overall it is a piece of rubbish, keep well clear of it. It looked Solid, we were sold it on this basis. Broken Drive Coupling 3 times in 2 years.

Looks like a washing machine - but actually distributes dirt evenly amongst clothes. Gear box has just blown up.

Worthless piece of garbage – Bought this machine after my aunty strongly recommended how great it was. Biggest mistake ever made. My Sheridan towels had to be thrown out after one year of being washed in this machine. Every time I put my clothes in to do a load, my heart would sink as I knew they were going to come out in a shocking state. So now I take my clothes out (except towels and linen) before the machine spins them and I rinse them by hand. Do not buy this machine! Doesnt break down (which is actually a con because you want it to stop working so you can buy a new one) Everything. You need to use way too much water if you want your clothes to come out semi lint free and untangled. New clothes are ruined within months of being washed in this machine. Absolutley horrible

I have to agree with your comments 100%, mine also sounds like a chaff cutter. It came with enamel missing on the bowl and we live too far away to be bothered taking it back - problem is now the patch is growing and I am giving up waiting for it to break down. It has also destroyed some clothing. Never again will I touch a Whirlpool
