I like the simplicity of this machine made in the USA. great value – This machine is a sturdy and well designed that is commendable for its simple layout and its reliable performance. Could be problem with lint but the best way to avoid lint is to sort clothes and not mix the one that can shed lint. The problem with this type of machine is that Whirlpool is not manufacturing them any more. Why? I own three (for different places) and love them.

Lint collector – I purchased this machine because of the amount of washing it would handle. It gets ordinary domestic use, is a robust machine but is frustrating to find lint all over the darker clothes and it annoys me that I cannot remove the agitator to wipe out the bowl like I used to in my other machine. The price was expensive, but I am already thinking about trading it in unless any lint suggestions come to the fore.

Whirlpool - Long Wearing – I purchased this washing machine it's good name, appearance, size and recommendation on performance. None of that disappointed. I was aware that he had no lint catcher which also attracted me to this make, only to learn down the track that the lint starts to linger on the clothes especially black items. After 10 years and still going strong I… Read more

have now parted with my whirlpool for a washing machine with a lint catcher. It's reliability, never broke down in 10 years No lint catcher

One big important fault – This machine has given good service over the years, was not what I would call inexpensive. I purchased it because of the name. Had a good look at it and one that was owned by a friend. But I wrongly assumed it would have a lint catcher. I thought all machines had them, because this one does not, clothes are often covered in lint or the remnants of… Read more

paper left in clothes (pockets). One must be very careful to make sure nothing is in clothes to cause lint, don't wash towels or such before or with other clothes or sheets.

I am thinking of changing to another brand which would have a lint catcher...unless Whirlpool decides to do the right thing and put one in their machines. Reliable Expensive, no lint catcher

Atrocious machine – Bought this wm after being advised it did have a lint filter (which it doesnt incidentally and the retailer is out of business). Does a bad job, is noisy, collects lint like nothing else which is then distributed onto your clothes. Whirlpool dont want to know you when you mention it. I hope they sent the designer to the siberian gulag, which is… Read more

nothing less than they deserve for creating this heap of overpriced junk. They should throw WP management in it for a full cycle for bad customer service. Apparently the only way to clean it is with epsom salts which have be left for eight hours every two months before being flushed with hot water. NOT FUN!

Bad service, bad washing machine, no lint filter

Made in the USA and a solid reliable machine – After owning a front loader previously which we found was a waste of time this has been a great machine. Reasonably quiet, easy to use, reliable and cleans the clothes. There is no lint filter but I have not really had an issue with lint. Somehow it ends up pumping all the lint out the waste. I like the robustness of this machine and easy for… Read more

my teenage boys to use. The previous front load was a pain to bend down and load, so called water saver because some clothes never even got wet with still bone dry washing powder on them and would shake and walk all over the laundry. I much prefer a top loader where the clothes are definitely soaking in water and being agitated properly to get clean plus you can add that stray sock you find after the cycle has started. Reliable, cleans clothes, easy to use, you can add an extra sock after you start it, quiet operation. In nearly 4 years have not had a problem.

Terrible – I'm not sure if this is a washing machine or a weapon of mass destruction! However, I do know that this imposter should be DESTROYED!!=P MADE in the U.S.A. Very solid construction. Quite handy to store dirty clothes on. At work they now call me Fluff-Boy. No lint filter! Replacement hoses can only be purchased via Whirlpool or the countries Myanmar or Liberia as they are Imperial not Metric fittings.

Terrible – Terrible machine - what can I do? It's still under warranty but will the company or the retailer do anything I wonder. What a lemon; I had a Westinghouse (similar to the lemon) for 15 yrs before this one and it was brilliant - what happened?? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't wash, it doesn't rinse and everything is covered in lint and that grimey, slimey stuf!!AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH
