Noisy Whirlpool Refrigerator – This 22 cu. ft. refrigerator is fine in all respects except one: it makes a very annoying high-pitched whistle when the compressor is running. Whirlpool sent a technician who maintains that this noise is normal. Sure!!! Totally ridiculous. Others on the web have made the same complaint and received the same reply. Do not buy this fridge. You will be very unhappy! It's noisy!

Love it! Mostly – Fridge goes really well. Had previous one with nary a hitch for many years. Have to wipe fingermarks off regularly due to stainless steele, otherwise great, reliable. Quiet. Looks good. Big. Love shelf space especially on big food days with two teenage boys! Freezer good too, though a tad small which says more about me than fridge, great to have extras too, like ice tray and deli meat section - I would recommend... reliable, goes well, quiet, looks good. Left door needs careful closing to ensure closed.
