Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5700XW

No problems – I have had my washer and dryer for since 2020 and had to reset washer one time when grandson put comforter, sheets and pillows in at the same time. Other than that it has been a great set. I have seen other responses but don't understand why. We do about 6 laods a week, use tide pods, cold water on everything but whites and low high water. Ours things always come out clear. Maybe I just got the best one they made but would buy again for sure. Show details

detergent but the manual does say to use liquid detergent and since doing this I haven't had a problem. Great machine would highly recommend it. Washes clothes well spins well does everything well.

Works A Treat – Mine works a treat! The belt fell off once but it was still under warranty and was fixed for nothing within a week, despite living in a rural area. Best washing machine i've ever owned!

Nightmare! – OMG! First time to use, put a few clothes to try, from 9am to 6PM now, it didn't do nothing! As in Nothing! That's when I will power off...and when i power on again, back to the beginning again! Doing nothing! And yes the first try, it did the the whole cycle, I went to the shop, after 1 1/2 hours, it was on wash, was busy, and just heard the sound done! BUT never heard it wash, or rinse or spin! checked, it was still kind of damp my clothes, my 18 year old washer which I replaced did a better job than that! the clothes still smelt dirty and noticed the top part of my clothes were totally dry! Not enough water to clean – I’ve struggled with this garbage, clothes need water to get clean. Without it the soil is left on the clothes. I’ve experimented...push the deep clean button and heavy duty cycle. Is the only way to get any sense out of this thing. Use this combination for every wash, there is no better way with this machine. with enough water and the clothes on top just sit there and never get down to the agitator to even begin to get clean. Blankets, rugs, etc.....no way. They come out with just as much dirt as when they went in. This washer is poor, poor design. Unless you are washing just a couple items, you will still have dirty clothes when they come out.

Whirlpool Cabrio-how to not have clean clothes – Within months of washing, my clothes were still dirty and whites were grey. quite by accident I discovered that only the bottom inch of my clothes were wet, the rest quite dry. Westinghouse and all their millions should have done a recall and replaced this crap machine or refunded the money. I can't even provide a comment or review or their website, they have inactivated that function. If I had done a review search first I would have know better. Worst washing machine ever – This is seriously terrible. If you place bedding/large items into this machine, it will not drain/spin it correctly. It does not appear to matter how much you put in, the items will come out of the machine drenched. Place a blanket in this machine and you are guaranteed a decent workout. Worst washing machine I have ever bought – I bought this washing machine approx 4 years ago and have the computer replaced 3 times and now needs replacing again. Serviced in 2014 but no improvement. Motor now needs replacement!!. Model discontinued which is a good thing for future buyers. Serviceman confirmed that the Cabrio is a poor quality washer based on his repair experience. He recommended LG as providing the best quality for a domestic washing machine.

What a piece of s....! – This machine was a huge disappointment and waste of money. Knowing it has been discontinued by Whirlpool and that the company has left Australia to concentrate elsewhere also should have been declared by the salesman. for me. The capacity is a joke as my old 5kg machine would cope better with the same volume of towels in a wash. I rang whirlpool to complain almost as soon as I purchased it and they were not interested in anything I had to say except that my washing liquid was probably the reason. I even wrote a complaint letter to them. This machine was an expensive purchase for our family and now it's going to be even more as I am fed up and looking at getting another machine. supposed to be spinning it will be filling up with water. It's called H2 low, thought it would save on water but that's useless if it doesn't wash the clothes. Clothes still come out dirty and work clothes and footy gear still come out smelling sweaty and dirty. I put in as little washing liquid as I can to try and reduce the white marks which drive me insane, but it still happens. This is the 21st century and thanks to this machine I do more hand washing now than I did 30 years ago.!

It is not overloaded. I used to get (when the thing did a half proper load), big dirt lint marks where there was not enough water to wash out the "scum". Sheets would end up with big lines of where the dirt sat and spun out. OH and that was only 1 sheet and maybe 2 towels. You can't wash two sheets and a couple of towels - TOO MUCH FOR THE LITTLE SUCKER. NOW I can't even get the freaking thing to even do a drain and spin cycle when the "NORMAL" cycle doesn't spin out and finish the ordinary cycle. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PIECE OF WHITE GOOD I HAVE EVER PURCHASED IN MY LIFE.

delay wash (because we have a smart metre) with a hope that it will turn on at approx 4.30am and finish by 7am. I have to get up at 6 and check it only to find it has faulted and won't spin but keeps filling, - hence a full drum of water. I then have to work out whether it has washed or not and set cycle on to drain and spin. This now takes an eternity so the machine is still operating - not finished way after 7.30am. Yes, the timer is crazy, it says 16 mins remaining and yes, 30 mins later it will say 20 mins remaining. When it does get through a cycle and spins dry everything ends up tangled. Yes, I agree that I need many packs of Panadol, very stressful, not energy efficient, uses lots of water. My old Kleenmaid I had for 30 years could clean beautifully in 25 mins. Even when the Bulky cycle works it takes minimum of 1 hour 20 minutes. We should be able to get some compensation, it's not as if we bought an unknown brand name.

Thanks for the heads up! – I totally agree with everything you all have said, won't spin properly, clothes look like they have dry powder marks on them and I use liquid.(thought it was something I was doing) And the load takes forever and is bloody noisy as anything. Come in sucker – Never again will I buy a Whirlpool washing machine .
