Beat buy – I bought the microwave about 10 years ago. Has only just died on me. Never had any problems with it. Always did what it said it does in the manual and advertising blurb

Great Microwave – we purchased the Microwave 7 years ago, still works fine we have no serious issues about it the only thing I find when I warm something there's a lot of water gathering on the inside of the glass, you get what you pay for I guess so no complains from Me,I'm happy still works after 7 years so so far so good!  Show details

Broken from day 1 – This microwave came with my unit I purchased brand new back in 2011. Before it had been used by anyone, it was broken. I had to yank the handle down every single time to get it to start microwaving (the timer would still start though..). Over the years this seems to have broken it, as now it just doesn't stop microwaving until the door opens! So… Read more

throwing it in the bin this week!

Had to yank handle to start it (from day 1), making weird noises within 3 years

Basic microwave - quite decent – I purchased this two years ago and it has worked just fine. It's a cheap model so you can't expect much but it does the job. It's comparatively heavy and noisy because it uses an iron transformer in the power supply (to keep the cost down -- cheaper than a switchmode power supply). I have however tossed it out, not because it wasn't… Read more

working or didn't do the job but because (i) it had developed a rust patch on the bottom of the interior. Unsightly but didn't affect the operation, and (ii) I wanted a microwave with a knob to select the time, rather than button. $85 over two years is good value. Price, compactness

Avoid! – There is no one touch quick cook button like the others have. At first use we noticed that it is noisier and vibrates more than our old microwave. When cooking rice, the steam builds up inside so that when you open the door after, there's water inside. The light globe also broke after a few months and now there's rust where the carousel roller… Read more

runs. It's definitely caused by the steam not being blown outside the microwave but we never encountered these problems with our old microwave which we used for 4 years before it broke. Cheap for Whirlpool brand, it cooks Noisy, poor quality

Don't bother – Where to start... The first one I purchased was ok for a week, then one day I opened the door and the power on it went out! I unplugged it and plugged it back on; still no power. It was dead. So I got a replacement one and brought it home; cooked some rice in it and I noticed a lot of water/steam building up inside the door. I also noticed a… Read more

lot of water/steam around the outside of the microwave and realised it had also pooled underneath the microwave. When I moved it to see whether there was anything blocking a vent (which there wasn't) I noticed the outside of the microwave was scorching hot. As I pulled the micro outwards I put slight pressure upwards on the door which caused the micro to go on! Then when I pushed the door downwards (i'm talking very slight pressure) it turned off again! Bah. Took it back and paid extra for an LG instead. Price was good. Also I liked the handle on this microwave - handles are pretty rare and I liked the idea. It was easy to open and shut. See summary - they seem to be defective (unless I just have terrible luck).
