Great Basic Receiver – All I wanted was a solid receiver that had a nice subwoofer for bass and would support the latest technology like 3D on HDMI 1.4. This receiver was the base model from Yamaha and I couldn't be happier with it. It has great surround sound, good basic set of speakers and the receiver itself is easy to use. Never had an issue with the receiver and the kids can use it without help. For the price, it was a real bargain. Good price for solid features and performance

Good basic receiver at an entry level price – I bought this as a simple unit for my family room. Have an upmarket Marantz system in the theatre so didn't want to go overboard. This unit does everything I want it to, has plenty of inputs, can take audio signal back from TV to amplify it to main speakers and has a reasonable amount of power output. It packs a fair few features in with the power at a modest price and does everything quite well. Good power output, sound and features for the price. User manual is on a CD so is next to useless unless you have a PC close by, though writing this now, I wonder if it would work on a DVD player??
