Love it!! – This product was one of the best buys I have ever made. The sound is unbelievable. Add a massive tele to this and bingo your at the cinema. I have heard the sound from top line surround sound systems worth thousands but there is a point of diminishing returns. Personally I can't tell the difference and I have had my system for many years and it hasn't missed a beat.

Alternate to Bose – Purchased in Germany and used for two years before deciding to upgrade to Bose Quality in the Yamaha however do not like having to run wires all over house

Loving it! – Bought this unit from JB Hi-Fi during one of their 30% off Yamaha sales and is definitely great value for money. I ended up mounting these on the wall (brackets not included) in my entertainment area and it is powerful enough for parties without annoying the neighbours too much. They look pretty nice and have plenty of inputs for all your devices. Beautiful sound, excellent value, easy to setup

Perfect Entry Level Yamaha – I bought this unit at a very good price during Boxing Sale. I do not think that I will get it for much cheaper. This glossy black unit so far served my purpose as a home theater system. At this entry price point, it has very good sound quality and easy to set up (YPAO). The YPAO is effective when it comes to sound configuration. After connecting thru HDMI, I can see the difference in picture quality and sound.Prior to that I was using s-video

The only cons is that it doesn't have HDMI pass thru, too much to read (instruction manual) although quick reference guide has been provided.

There is also no GUI, unlike the model next up.

Excellent! – I use this in my study. I initially purchased this to replace the speakers for my computer and I now have a TiVo connected to it also. The sound quality and quantity is outstanding and is best suited for a small area, espcially a study or bedroom. I highly recommend Yamaha AV receivers. Value for money.
