with a hire car so our son could continue getting his hours up to get his licence as he is starting university an hour a way soon. We had that car for 4 weeks. The payout settlement was nothing spectacular but much more than we expected. The customer service provided by Maree was outstanding! Sierra was able to provide a better product that AAMI (third party fire and theft with $5k cover for my car (which is enough) at approximately $60 cheaper than AAMI! $60 cheaper sure beats the loyalty tax I was paying with AAMI for the last 4 years. I hope Sierra is provided some commission for her outstanding customer service skills, including being empathetic to my current financial circumstances.

Coming from a service business myself, I respect that kind of effort. I had my certificate of currency within five minutes and everything just worked the way it should.
On price, it stacked up well too. Even after factoring in the online discount, it ended up 25 dollars a month cheaper than my old policy and included roadside assist.
Because of the service I received, I’ll also be moving my second car policy over to Youi.

tried all the big names, Allianz, QBE, NRMA, Zurich, Budget Direct, Coles, Woolies, AAMI.....all had exorbitant premiums ranging from $1640 to $2400 per year...even with a $1200 excess. Completely by accident, I filled out a quotation from YOUI, and a representative called me. You see, I Googled NRMA, and the search yielded YOUI at the top of the page. It said. "Start a Quote" so I did. Lo and behold, a very pleasant person called, and enquired, "I'm ringing you about an online quotation, may I assist"? Well, after a most engaging conversation, I was given a quotation that was easily the best of the previous bunch. Without giving too much away, it was around $250 under NRMA (the next best), and I'm a 50 year Gold Member! Now I know why my son is with YOUI. hesitation, chose to go with Youi again. Little did we know that we would need to rely on your services once more! In January, we were involved in an accident that resulted in our caravan being written off. Thankfully, the damage to our car was minimal—a small issue with the bumper where the stone guard had made contact. I was truly impressed with how quickly we received the payout for the caravan and how Youi assisted us with the contents cover, which greatly alleviated some of our stress during this difficult time. Having only one excess for both vehicles, since they were insured with Youi, was another plus!
However, just a week after having our car back, we found ourselves in another unfortunate situation. A young driver merged into us, resulting in yet another claim—only about six weeks after the first accident. Much to my surprise and delight, I spoke to the same consultant, Tim, who had helped me with the first claim. His support and compassion throughout the process were commendable. Tim did an outstanding job arranging tow trucks and managing the logistics for us.
Youi also organized hire cars for both accidents, a process that was seamless and hassle-free. Just a note to self for the future—I must remember not to leave some of my keys in the hire car! However, I did encounter an issue with the first repairer we used. They disconnected my dash cams and did not reconnect them. We later found out about this when I needed footage for the second incident. It was disappointing to hear the repairer blame me rather than accepting responsibility. I would have appreciated a simple acknowledgment of the mistake and reassurance that it wouldn’t happen again. Unfortunately, this experience led us to choose a different repairer for the second incident.
After the write-off of our caravan, we ordered a new one. Since we live in our van while traveling, I was initially disappointed to learn that I wasn't eligible for the travel accommodation aspect of our claim, given that the caravan was our home. Thankfully, after appealing, I was granted the benefits, but the $1,000 maximum for accommodations didn’t go very far, especially after losing so much. In the future, I plan to increase our contents coverage, as we need to repurchase many items and take inventory—photographic evidence will certainly help streamline the claiming process! It's important to know what you have, instead of brainstorming on brands/items and invoices for purchase or photographic proof.
My only significant disappointment lies in Youi’s inability to insure our new van due to its high value. I truly wish to insure it with Youi as I value the excellent service I have received, especially during difficult times. Your team has made navigating these experiences much more manageable, and I would love to continue our relationship if possible.

YOUI tried to scam me last year my ctp was $331 this year it jumped to $580 so I done a compare website with all my details an YOUI came back with $431 I contacted them an was told no $580 no help at all anyways I found it for $390 so happy days. comparison website so shop around people i saved $190 not using YOUI they are over charging an don't care I'm a pensioner an they think $250 a 75% increase from last year is reasonable total scammers stay away from YOUI

I acquiesced. She then began to chat about random things asking me what i was busy doing. Like girl, read the room. I am in a rush. She then beat the price I had of another insurer but neglected to tell me the sum insured even though I told her that was important to me. She said "you will be so happy with the price." When I finally got off the phone with this woman, and could finally look at an actual quote it was market value. Which is just laughable when I said an agreed value was what was important. So silly. But she is too focused on her "AMAZING PRICE" to be honest. Then she kept pushing me to finalise it and give her my payment details using the cooling off period as an excuse. I had to tell her 5 times I was not ready to set it up and wanted to compare before she finally let up. Blocked the number because she said well I am going to call you back. Geez, one way to not get a sale. Would never quote with youi or recommend to anyone after that experience.

got the hose turned on maximum pressure, folded the hose end as I ran back, opened the door and it burst into flames. I released the hose fold, hitting it with Max Pressure stopping the flames for 8 secs, then more flames 2 more blasts of water and it did not restart. And we still have our house. knowledgeable, she could answer every query immediately. And now I have a very comprehensive car insurance cover, saving me nearly $600, from my other "roll-over" quote. This is much more savings, than even the 10% Loyalty bonus, offered by my previous insurer. I am so glad I finally made the effort to research , rather than accept annual renewals, with my other insurer. As recommended by Ciara, I compared various insurers on Trust Pilot, and YOUI Insurance came out on top, while a couple of others I see advertised regularly, did not come out well at all. All very friendly service throughout initial sign up and claim. The big downfall was after 1st year I had no choice of repairer. They expected me to use theirs which was 2hrs drive away. I decided that overall Youi was the best value for money - NOT JUST WITH THE savings of over $500 on the Comprehensive Insurance policy, but with the ROADSIDE assistance and paying less for Excess IF I should need to use it.
