I can't be bothered to write all that went wrong with my one (AND ONLY) online order from Zara - I honestly cannot believe that they are operating still with the appalling lack of service, workflows, and care given.
Trying to contact stores in Perth, only a 1800 number with a pre recorded msg. Attempted the online chat, still talking to a robot or if they are a human absolutely terrible service. Disgusting that Zara runs a business like this
Disgusting company and service!! Did an online purchase from Zara Australia and items received were damaged. It has been over a year to get my refund back!!!! Disgusting! Show details

I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent experience with my order (No. 54368451904). The parcel was left behind a door in a common-use, publicly accessible area of the building, where anyone can enter. Importantly, this door has clear delivery instructions for couriers, yet the parcel was still not delivered correctly. Notably, a… Read more
previous parcel from Zara (order No. 54342832384) was successfully delivered to the same reception area just a few days earlier without issue. The area has multiple business addresses, no security, and no cameras.
Additionally, your customer service has been unresponsive. I received an automated email with proof of delivery and no reply option, leaving me unable to resolve the issue. Advising me to approach “building security or neighbors” is not feasible in this context.
Overall, this experience has been very disappointing and does not reflect the level of service expected from Zara Australia. I hope your team reviews your delivery and customer support procedures to prevent similar issues for other customers.
Very disappointed with Zara. I shop regularly and rely on online orders because I don’t have time to visit stores. My recent purchase was not delivered to my home — instead, I was told to pick it up from a location 1.5 hours away. That’s unacceptable. If home delivery is not guaranteed, customers should be clearly informed at checkout. I’ve… Read more
wasted time trying to reach customer service — no phone number works, and there’s no proper support.
Zara needs to do much better.
Not for the first time lousy quality clothes and shoes. I really loved Zara before; however, for the past couple of years, I have been buying clothes that no longer meet my expectations. First was the shiny dress, which was sewn so awfully that it did not fit at all, no matter how you wore it. As I bought it on sale, I left it for the fabric;… Read more
maybe I could cut it and use it somewhere. Recently, I bought shoes that were not a fit. It was my size, and when I tried them on, they were good, but after a couple of times trying them at home, the back straps lost their shape, and one shoe could not hold on to one of my feet. Well, I bought a cute white dress for the third time and wanted to wear it out. Imagine the disappointment; it started to rip off from the middle, threads went off, and I saw a hole. I mean, I loved the shop Zara, but not anymore. I also noticed they are cheating with prices. The Bondi Junction shop needs to go, touch space taken, not the best.

poor quality – I purchased a lined waistcoat, ($119) - and after one gentle cold wash in a laundry bag - the lining is fraying and falling apart at multiple spots, and the buttons are falling off. The quality is really very poor. There isn't an email address to report this, the chat is bots, and it doesn't accept photos anyway. I am repairing it myself but am very disappointed with the poor quality of Zara clothing. What happened?
Great designs but appalling customer service – Great clothes, but appalling customer service. Button fell off leather pants as i was unpacking from original box. Was sewn onto the tiniest bit of leather. They said not a ‘fault’. Replacement useless as all pants made the same. I love the pants so didnt want refund. Will repair myself. Also frustrating they dont provide size details of products worn in pics. Online size ‘suggestion’ very inaccurate. CS wont help

I purchased two pairs of pants and one has a hole in the pocket and the hem came down on first wear. Could not find a way to contact customer service and when I finally heard back from someone days later I’ve had to explain and send details to… Read more
three different people.. I still have heard nothing from them a week or more later. So disappointed in Zara service! I have worn these pants for 10 years and this is the first time I’ve had trouble. It should have been sorted straight away
Follow-up · Resolution was that they could do nothing without a tag but I had a receipt and the pants were faulty before I even put them on!!!!! You can see the stitching wasn’t caught properly in the pocket & the hem wasn’t stitched on one leg!!!!!! So disappointed in their service
Their customer support is abysmal . Unlike other brands - small and large , you do not receive a confirmation of your order UNTIL they process a payment . Everyone else acknowledges the order at the beginning and advises status . I contacted their… Read more
online chat 4 times and was told on last one that they can’t see anything until payment recognised at their end . Very poor system and really no excuses for this .
Follow-up · Still no refund despite contacting them four times and proof of purchase . Looks like I will have to Dept of Fair Trading and lodge a claim . For a multi million dollar company they should be ashamed of their customer service - it is non existent . Would NEVER buy online again .

Purchased 2 pair of pants from Zara on 4th December for my husband for Christmas. Went to Doncaster storing on 13th January to exchange and was told I was out of the 30 day exchange period. Store Manager advised me to contact Customer Care. I got the same response. I didn’t want my money back, just wanted to exchange for a different style. It was… Read more
a Christmas present. Stores usually give you grace until end of January for Christmas purchases. Customer service was appalling
Worst experience with zara . I ordered perfume on 22-12-2025 still waiting for order. You have to work on your delivery partner. I need refund I don't need anything from uh

Very poor customer service at Zara Parramatta. My partner picked up a top clearly marked 29.95. When at the counter scanned at 59.95. The manager refused to honor it stating she pay the full price or she would remove it from stock. She then accused other customers of removing tags and placing on othe garments. While waiting for resolution another… Read more
customer had multiple items with the same issue and was told the same thing. The staff refused to help even giggling and make comments under their breath think we could not hear them. Customer support is no existant so staff feel they can get away with this behaviour. Will follow up with ACCC and chase down someone in ZARA Australia
I like the clothes from Zara, but I have had a very disappointing experience with them that I feel warrants warning. I purchased two tops online from Zara but didn’t like either, so I returned both using the in-store online return kiosk in one bag, rather than posting them back. However, I was only refunded for one item. Zara claimed they were… Read more
unable to locate the other return. Their customer service has been extremely poor — there is no direct contact option, the online chat agent closed my conversation without providing a reference, and the only remaining options were to reach out via X or Instagram which are clearly AI. I ended up escalating to NSW Fair Trading, and whilst the process took a long time, I have just received the refund for the goods I returned and was owed for. It does make me wonder how often Zara profits from customers’ refunds that “go missing.” My advice: avoid shopping online with Zara, as there’s no guarantee you’ll receive your refund. If you do, pursue further via the official channels available. Don’t let large companies like this steal from you.
The manager at highpoint shopping centre was the most unpleasant, rude operator i have ever met in retail. I was purchasing 2 items, 1 of which had a mark down price tag (can support everything with photos) and when the young customer service lady rung it up on the register, the discounted item came up as full price. I immediately bought it to… Read more
her attention, and she called upon another worker to assist. This worker after speaking with the "manager" came back and told me the full price is what I'll need to pay. I advised her that the discounted price ($20) is what is advertised for and I'm happy to pay that. She said absolutely not, they have a very strict policy it was an inside error that this particular item was marked down when it shouldn't have been. I asked to speak with her manager, which she advised was on her "lunch break" ( but wasn't this discussed earlier with the manager?) To which i replied, no problem I'll wait. Within 5 minutes the manager came out and again said no there will be no price reduction, it was a human worry and zara has a very strict policy to follow. I showed her"zara's policy" as per their website, if an item is price cheaper, that is what you'll pay, and she was adamant it was not happening, she would get in trouble. She proceeded to call "customer service" and once her call was complete, she advised that she would take my details and someone would call me to discuss further. I told her I didn't believe anyone would call, nor would she raise my complaint. This short version will tell the tale? Let's indeed see if someone does make contact?
Hi recently I placed an order online with zara . Courier attempted delivery nobody s home . They did not leave any note for me to pick up good. Sent me link to check order but showed nothing . would take up to 14 business days for refund once relevant department responds. Really hopeless no other company would take that long to process a refund not to mention days I waited for good and reporting to zara through live chat. Total waste of time will never buy from them again
I just wanted to buy a top so I could go home with a bag to prove id been out shopping as I was actually out buying my hubby a bday present LOL. I knew he'd fall for it. The fit is sloppy but the design was ok so i got it. If it were $20 cheaper I wouldn't regret it so much. Their prices seem to have gone up alot in the last year or so, or am I tripping?
Anyhoo......that isn't the reason for this review. I never expect much from Zara anyway so, whatever.
What I AM irritated about is that in order for them to allow me to even pay for my crappy top at their self-serve area, it seems I am now forced to provide my email or phone, and opt into annoying newsletters from them. With scamming the way it is, you'd think there'd be a stricter policy on forcing people to give their details against their will. So as soon as I get home, I have 2 emails from them already with one them saying: "Thank you for subscribing to our Newsletter". I can't tell you how much I loathe this kind of lying. I didn't subscribe, and If i did, it wasn't by choice.
Now I have to take time out of my day to unsubscribe. I will also report their emails as spam, so google pick up on it.
Urgh.....I wish my review could make a difference, but I doubt it will. I just hope others don't take this kind of forced subscription practice laying down, and make the effort to leave a review about it, and report their emails as spam also.
I have just made a purchase for several items from Zara Australia. or ring of doorbell. I have only been able to make contact with a Zara agent via chat. The service has been nothing short of terrible from Zara. No understanding, nil attempts to make good. No understanding some criminal now has my full name and address and Afterpay details. Zara treats their customers with contempt. I am now out of pocket $200. I will never shop there again. Not worth the effort for cheap mass produced clothes with even cheaper customer service. Stay away from Zara! Second rate customer service.
I waited on an order for 10 days and when I got in touch Zara said they tried to deliver at 8.30pm on a Friday night (!) and that they have returned the package to the warehouse and will refund. I placed an order on Zara’s website, and that very same day it was automatically canceled by Zara. However, the charge was processed, and to this day I have not received the refund. you to resolve it.” But nobody solves anything, nobody provides a clear answer, and all it generates is frustration.
The chat service is poor; the representatives seem incapable of handling something as basic as refunding money for a canceled order. I understand there are protocols, but Zara has turned something so simple into a very bad experience, making me feel literally scammed.
I will not be buying from Zara again. Poor service, lack of responsibility, and total indifference toward customers make this a brand I cannot trust.
A poor experience at your Macquarie Shopping Centre store today. was asked to rehang six items, which I found surprising and unprofessional. This has never been my experience at any store — including the Zara Sydney CBD location, which I visited just days ago. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with the store manager to clarify this policy, I was told the manager refused to speak with me. There was no explanation, no effort to resolve my concerns, and no apology. I found this behavior completely unacceptable and disrespectful. As a loyal customer, I expect a higher standard of service and a basic level of courtesy from store management. I will not be returning to Zara Macquarie unless there are changes in how customers are treated.

Warning: do not buy online. Delivery company they use, tried to deliver to a business address, at 8pm! obviously no one there, but they do not re-deliver. Took stock back to warehouse. Issued refund (hopefully) but will not receive refund for delivery. waste of time, effort and money. Just lost a customer for good.
Rubbish security they have at Bourke Street Melbourne store. I only went in there today to ask about a fur coat if it was in stock, had a Quick Look around and left within 5 minutes. of my bag including my lunch bag and even wanted to look in my meds case. I had explained to her that I didn’t buy anything nor did I steal anything from the store. I even asked her she’s more than happy to check again and check the security cameras. Few people walked out before me so could’ve literally been anyone that had that item. I have purchased at this store many times and have never felt so humiliated especially when she wanted me to open my medication case for all the people walking out the door to see.
Absolutely disgusting costumer service. No delivery, on line my purchase is still being processed and l have tried so hard to get help. No one will help. It’s been 3 months. I can’t get my money back or the clothes. I’m a grandmother who bought clothes for my granddaughter. My recommendation is go to a store. Don’t buy on line as there is no one to help if you don’t receive you order. Show details
Made an online order. Positive: the items which I did order arrived in good time. Negatives: They also included an item which I DIDN'T order. An unwanted freebie, but probably somebody else's loss. Messenger response is unfriendly and asks for permission to store my personal information "to avoid this verification process in future". There is no future, guys. There might have been if you'd started by apologising for the inconvenience like a real human.
Do I want to continue in my efforts to beg them for information so that I can post the unwanted item back to them? I'm not sure.
The main point is that they stuffed up the only order I've ever made with them and don't have very good customer support. I don't have time to deal with companies who stuff up orders and seem not care about it.
My first time shopping at Zara. My first purchase which will now also be my last. If their customer service is so pathetic then it's not worth it. happen but it did. Of course trying to recover my money had now been ongoing for 2 weeks. A week ago I was asked for my bank account details for the refund, now I'm getting emails to let me know they are investigating the matter and will get back to me soon. I have sent in proof of double charge- as requested. What else is there to investigate? Has anybody bothered to be in contact via phone? No,only email which is a no-reply address. I'm told to use their online chat if I have any questions. I tried that and I get told the matter is being investigated and sorry for any inconvenience. I am so annoyed and so angry.
This all started in the Sydney CBD store. If you're going to purchase from Zara I hope the process goes smoothly for you and that you're not replying on customer service.
Worst online transaction I’ve ever had - shocking “Customer Service” Ordered a shirt as a Christmas gift for my Mum in Oct - paid full price. the shirt - admitted they had it. They wouldn’t refund it because “I didn’t fall within their ridiculously inflexible 30 day return policy”
Every other retailer helps customers at Christmas by being more flexible. Not Zara.
Worst part (after spending soooo much time trying to get them to see reason) THEY. RETURNED. THE. SHIRT. TO ME.
They had it - and returned it. WHY WOULD I WANT TWO IDENTICAL SHIRTS?
The most frustrating, inflexible, condescending, ridiculous and unhelpful online purchase - I would never buy from Zara again.
And you can’t talk to a real person - all bots and [Content Removed] chats where it’s impossible to explain a situation and they refuse to use common sense.
Absolute disgrace that a company can treat it’s customers like this.
I went to Zara today btw 12:30-2:00, tried some clothes. On my way out, their EAS alarmed but didn't take notice of it, but outside a staff from Zara approached me and hailed me inside the store as someone she said alerted them that i got something from the store. don't find any i would sue you, you can even search my body. She said the phone screen showed i took something and showed me and i said i didn't even know what they were as i only tried denim pants and a dress. She said maybe it was someone who passed ahead of me and it alerted on me. Isn't that such a lame excuse - she thinks am stupid to believe her - was she being dsicriminating because i don't look like an Aussie? In my anger, i forgot to ask her name. Sghe even had the gall to ask me why am i upset? i told her if you were in my shoe, being stopped and interrogated right infront of the entrance after being stopped, won't you be angry? it is not just embarrassing, it is HUMILIATING with people looking at me as if i stole something and got caught. And then there was another staff who approached and stood beside her, but seeing there was none in my bag, left. I wanted to know whose staff said i took something, but all her lame excuses are not acceptable to me. I hope this does not happen to anyone who shops at Zara in Chadstone. The thing is this staff never apologise to me. Management would know her if they check the CCTV camera - 10.03.2025 btw 12:30 - 2:00.
False advertising – The ticket sale price on an item was $39.95, when I went to pay, I was told that it had been ticketed wrong and was actually $69.95 They would not honour the ticketed price.
