Why are BankSA allowed to rip people off? Their intentions are clearly nefarious. I was told by my local member today that it's because they are privately run now.
They are privately run. And nobody does anything about it. They believe they are above the law. Just another point of concern is that they employ scammers in their fraud detection department.
Yes, and in managerial positions. It almost defies belief but after my experience that fact now is obvious to myself also.
Last year my sa bank credit card stopped working. Got a new one sent and it failed to arrive. Never seen a worse bank for customer service.

Has anybody else experienced the following? Sorry in advance for long post...
On numerous occasions I've had a few dollars sitting in my account, or couple of hundred. First incident happened 2 months ago, my bank was in credit by 163 dollars. Checked my bank a hour later and it said 0.00 Second incident was last week. I had 1.90 in my bank for a few days, and then the balance was all of a sudden 0.00 after about 3 hours of checking as i deposited a cheque and was seeing the current status. Third incident happened TODAY! Last night i haf roughly 300 dollars in my bank. I check 12pm today and its 0.00 AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! Please note that NONE of these incidences had any transactions outbound.... the money simply vanishes to a 0.00 balance. I rang the bank today (fraudulent transaction dept as normal bank is shut) and i was told I've missed something. So i calculated all lol of my expenses from the total deposited, and yep. Sure enough roughly 300 isnt accounted for. Where is my money going you dodgy bank!!!!

I sent 20 bucks to my BankSA account (but had done it 3x times) noticed that "second time" never went through... Other end of the bank got sent... disappeared into never never land
Cashless vending machines are a true F. up for BankSA. Scan your card to buy your product and then check inet bank. that evening and witness A $4.50 PRE-AUTHORISATION CHARGE, more than the cost of the bought shit! Wait that 2 WEEKS IF NO HOLIDAYS IN MEANTIME for credit back into your account - and then sit there agog as the vending machine charge and pre auth. charge and credit ALL DISAPPEAR FROM YOUR TRANSACTION HISTORY !!!!!
I have had the same problem on many occasions. My recent problem was that I had $0 balance after spending my pay. I checked my account 5 days later and had $35. So I paid my pay pal bill. Then next day I had -$35 in my account. This occurred because bank SA returned $35 to my account for something I purchased with my card 3 weeks prior. Only to take it again the following day. So my PayPal fee overdraw my account and now I have received a dishonour fee from bank SA. Bank SA computer system is flawed.
Absolutely I have. BankSA should be prosecuted and held accountable for their behaviour and treatment of customers. Apparently they are privately owned and run now. Their conduct is nothing short of discraceful. Shame on you BankSA!
10 years with bank sa Ive only ever received money 1201am following day, where work mates have received it 7:30-9:00pm same day. Never have I received a bank transfer same day. Does this happen to other customers interested to know?
