Electrolux EWF10831 Questions & Answers

Electrolux front loader model EWF10831, did went off during washing ,it drain the water and stopped before spinning, now the LCD display isn't lighting and nothing is working? Please help!
MY EWF10831 has started leaking on HOT wash what is the reason? Also the clip on the pump drain broke can I buy the clip or do do I have to buy the whole pump drain? (I cant find the spare part anywhere)
My machine leaks only on HOT WASH any clues?
E52 on our Electrolux. It will start cycles but not finish them and it's at the stage now where we can't open the door. Tried the reset as recommended above to no avail. Any help will be appreciated.
If the the drum does not spin it could be the motor brushes. lay the washing machine down so you can see the motor. Remove a brush to check if it is worn down. Look up your model brushes on ebay to see what new ones look like. They are cheap enough and easy to replace. Worth a try to see if this is your problem. Good luck
My machine has UE fault showing but I can’t find a reference in the manual for this. How do I fix this fault?
how do you remove the front seal
There is a youtube guide by 'how-2-repair' for another Electrolux front loader but I believe it is more or less applicable to this model. It looks like a moderately complex job, certainly doable if you have a spare set of hands and some patience. This model has an inherent design flaw so even if you end up replacing the seal you'll still need to have a spare rag/chamois handy to wipe it down after every wash...
My 10831 front loader won't complete a cycle and the washing is not being spun dry. I've tried disconnecting at the power plug, taking out the clothes and then replacing with a dry load, going back to start and choosing a different cycle but the machine will only advanced to spin and won't complete. There's no red ERROR, only green lights and it appears to be in the middle of a cycle but it has actually stopped. About 2 months ago I had the computer replaced at big expense, and now we have this problem........can you help?
That's why I threw mine out. Sounds like what happened to mine. See my detailed reviews. Electrical board failed twice. BIGGEST piece of rubbish I ever owned. Went German made Bosch. Fantastic.
TO PERFORM A SOFT RESET: have the main dial set to the off position and hold down both the 'start' and 'delay' buttons. With these buttons depressed turn the dial one notch clockwise, when the lights flash you can let go of 'start' and 'delay'. Turn the main dial clockwise, one slow step at a time until you reach the off position. The last step is to wait one minute then turn the main dial to any setting before moving it back to the off position.
Hello We have a time manager washing machine and it finished it’s last load and went to put ne load in and machine has no display and won’t start Tried reset but virtually no power. Power socket ok but machine refuses to do anything. No display at all worries me Any clues to where I should be looking. Many thanks Aaron
Electrical board failed on mine twice! Piece of rubbish.
Has anyone had the not draining issue resolved? I'm hesitant to pay $145 callout fee if they're just going to tell me I need to replace the machine.
Try cleaning the filter first and if that doesn’t resolve the problem, you’ll need a technician.
We had already done that. Ended up buying a new machine as the customer service at Electrolux was so bad I couldn't stand dealing with them. After two crap machines from the same company I would never buy white goods from them again.
It's the electrical board. I just wasted $145 to be told it's failed for the 2nd time. Never again.
I have an Electrolux ewf10831eight kilo washing machine & an error e10 keeps coming up what can I do to fix it ols?
Ok I don't work for the company so I'm not 100%sure you can read the manual. Though it might be about equal distribution of clothing in the washing machine

How to fix an E52 error on a EWF10831 8kg front loader washer machine, only 3 years old?
Hey Robbo, I have the exact same issue. Did you get a fix? Appreciate any info. Thanks.
I've had this washing machine for about 18mths which I got from a relative who upgraded, would be about 3yrs old now. I cant use my washing machine because it stops through it's cycle and won't spin. I've been without my washer for 2wks now. I had someone take a look at it and says it's the control/panel circuit board. I really loved this washer and its great on clothes and washes well. Just disappointed that it's having this problem and cant seem to find the part anywhere at a reasonable price or anybody to do it . Any help?

Just purchased a Electrolux front loader, 1 week old and I'm sure something is seriously wrong - it sounds like a 747 on the spin cycle...!!! Any ideas?HELP
It could be that the feet are not quite balanced but I would get a technician out straight away to check the drum. Mine was like that and it didn't last. If it's a fault I would hope that they give you a replacement and not make you wait for parts.
Thanks for the tip...!!

We purchased a EWF 10831 in October 2012. We have experienced a few minor issues which we were able to live with (such as fab softener not always draining ). Unfortunately yesterday the machine began to rock so violently in the spin cycle that the balance mechanism automatically cut the spin. I tried rebalancing the load and then loads of varying sizes, but it continued to do this. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening ( just out of warranty too grrr....)? And how we can fix this? We are in an isolated part of Australia and appliance technicians are usually a long drive away. Thanks
We have this also, just out of warranty so we are out of luck also. Wont be buying this brand again.
We had to have the board and then the pump replaced. Also there was a loose wire which needed fixing. At the price of repairs we could have almost bought a new machine. We certainly won't be touching anything Electrolux again.
Apart from all the other issues that we had with this machine - one of the last issues was that one of the springs that suspends the barrel had broken and needed to be replaced. My partner took it apart and did this is about half an hour. This was an exercise that would have cost a couple of hundred dollars to have a technician fix so he was popular that day! Unfortunately, it was only a matter of weeks before the panel went for about the fifteenth time so it was out of the house after that. I don't know what your issue could be apart from that. Good luck with this machine. You will need it!
Our just out of warranty EWF10831 front loader has stopped spinning. It drains fine, the drain pump has been checked and the belt is in place. We had the control panel replaced under warranty when the machine was 6 months old. Any ideas what the problem might be? It was working fine this morning and then stopped suddenly.
hi
i have not come across this problem yet.It might have something to do with the control panel and that part would still be covered under warranty for two years from when it was replaced.just ring them and good luck.
We have now received an E41 error - possibly something to do with the door latch? Technician is coming out Monday.

hi Karen have you taken the draw out and cleaned it , it sometimes gets blocked in the holes if that fails call a technician and have your water sensers in the taps hose replaced as the water isn't getting in at a proper flow I just had the same problem and my tech said they are always stuffing up and needing to be replaced apparently its a fault with all front loaders I hope this helps
Hi, we bought a Electrolux EWF 10831 in May 2011 and it sat in our garage for the first year still in its packaging, and for the past couple of months we've had problems with the display. From what I have researched and read it seems there is some kind of consistency of fault in the computer/electronics of these machines. The display goes blank/resets and does not unlock the door on the machine and worse of all the fault is intermittent. We're unable to select a programme and despite turning off and unplugging in a different order nothing seems to work - we have to leave it and then the next day or 2 weeks later it can work fine. Frustrating, this seems this should be a recall...... This machine has only serviced 2 people and is used, on average, about once per week.

Hi Marina thankyou for contacting me, how are you able to help us? The machine seems to have a consistent fault in the computer board, is there a way to reset it? Cannot find it in the manual. Much appreciate your assistance. Is this covered by warranty.....?
Help, I have a EWF10831 and although the machine washes the clothes very well my towels have gradually got so hard that I am just about to go and buy all new ones even though the towels are not old. I use fabric softener every wash which does not help. Can you help?
