Why did I wait so long for a decent dishwasher? – We inherited our old dishwasher with our house and have been patiently waiting for it to properly die before I could get a newbie. In this time I researched dishwashers comprehensively.

I narrowed down to Bosch and Asko. Bosch as there is a great deal of info including reviews around, and Asko due to personal recommendations and reputation of longevity and quality.

Upon seeing the 2 brands side by side I had a clear winner. The Asko is solid, clever in its layout, flexible and inspired. The Bosch looked like every other dishwasher.

I purchased on the Thursday and it was delivered by Asko on the Monday - when tey said it would be delivered (no waiting all morning)

It is amazing. Such a flexible inside, clever little tricks here and there, multiple setting and options and as sturdy as.

Most importantly

- its whisper quiet

- it washes like a dream

- everything seems to dry

Yes the $2000+ price tag is steep but for something used at least daily it's worth every penny and is far superior in quality and performance to others we looked at. Also we got 2 baskets, various trays etc all included.

I am now a raving fan Build quality, cleaning ability, flexibility, number of different settings, brilliant layout, generous with accessories overall 10/10 performance

I love asko dishwashers - I've had 2 previously with the last one just dying (after 14 years of everyday use and lots of parties) - They are worth spending the extra money

I have owned an Asko for the past 4 years and have had it repaired 3 times and still the wash quality is useless. I am about to replace it with anything but an Asko.
