Booktopia
4.6Most Ridiculous eBook Prices – When I am contemplating buying an eBook, which is the only way I buy a book, various sellers are checked for availability and prices. Time and again Booktopia have the most outrageous and absolutely ridiculous prices. I would like to support an Australian bookseller but the prices are often contemptible.
Here are the two recent examples.
Black Flags: The Rise of Isis by Joby Warrick
Google, Apple iBooks, Amazon and Kobo all $10.99 Booktopia $44.75
Wasted by Elspeth Muir
Google $15.80, Apple iBooks $17.99, Amazon $13.83 and Kobo $21.95. Booktopia $44.25

Hi Peter, Thanks very much for your feedback. We acknowledge that the price difference in this example is very high. This, sadly, is because we don't have a direct local (Australian) supply for these eBooks.
We would obviously love to be more competitive in this instance, and we are actively pursuing local supply agreements across our eBook catalogue, which will translate into improved prices.
Thanks for giving us a go, I hope that there are other books you're looking for that we can help you with.
Warmest regards, Chance (Booktopia Customer Service)
