The parcel was packed nicely but for some reason the deliverer decided that he/she could not leave the parcel at my address and took it to the local post office. I am 90 years of age and was not happy to catch a bus to collect books.

Placed my order 17th June. It's 3rd August and they haven't even dispatched my book yet. I don't know why I haven't been refunded after my first email. NEVER AGAIN!

replace and send me a new copy of the book that had been particularly damaged. Which is absolutely amazing and definitely above what I was expecting when I initially submitted my complaint.

I also raised concerns about inappropriate advertising (a wine voucher included in my order despite being underage). Customer service addressed this too and mentioned that they would be contacting the appropriate department.

Honestly, I'm in love with my new books and genuinely impressed with the customer service!

Here is your guide to Booktopia: Ships next day: Ships in 3 - 5 days. Ships in 5-10 days: Ships in 15 - 25 days. Ships in 15 - 25 days: You should receive it eventually. Probably. The cherry on top is that if you order gets delayed, good luck. Either you chase them or you'll never know about it. They just won't keep you updated. The whole experience is frustrating to say the least.

I am shocked at how terrrible this website is, with even the most basic of privacy setting on my PC i cannot access this website. I am sorry that it apparently wants access to my entire life before I can even access the site

I had been to my local book store looking for two books. They were not in stock at my branch, but they had them at another branch and could get them in for me. order, I got notification the order had been received and then 10 days later still no books. I made an enquiry and was told they were on order from the supplier. One of the the books IS now being delivered after 2 1/2 weeks. The other book is not due into stock for another couple of weeks. If when I made the order, I was notified of the delay, I would have gone back to my local bookstore and made the order through them. This is really poor customer service and it has just reinforced my patronage at my local bricks and mortar book store. I might have to wait for some things BUT at least they are honest with me. I wish I could give no stars because that is how I feel about their customer service.

Terrible website. Missed out on their spring Sale because their website kept showing a screen for the last 48 hours saying their website had encountered an unexpected error. No email address or contact info works as it is all on their malfunctioning website! They missed out on a substantial order from me!

I have been using this company to get away from the Amazon behemoth. I have only had good experiences with this company. Prices are as good as, if not lower than, Amazon. Good range. After multiple emails and generic insincere replies, its obvious that booktopia essentially acts like a preorder service. I purposefully ordered from them due to the in-stock status of the books and the delivery time frame. 82 Days for workbooks. Almost 3 months. Absoloutly disgraceful service. By far the worst service I've received in years. I only ever knew what was going on after I had to chase things up. I will never shop or support Booktopia again!

The two books I ordered, "The Ghan" by Ian Grady & Don Fuchs and "One Day I'll Remember This" by Helen Garner, arrived in good condition and in a timely manner. The packaging was substantial so that the books would not get damaged by rough handling. Show reply

twice i have ordered from here within two months and both times my orders have not been shipped within the time they were surposed to and only after i emailed the customer service team only then has my orders been shipped pretty scummy to have to get the customer to email for them to remember your order

I purchased some books a month ago and at the time of ordering it stated that items would be sent in 10-15 business days, it's now passed the 20 business days mark. I have not received any feedback thru their 'Contact us' form or emails. They have limited operating hours. I have left this in the hands of my credit card company and consumer affairs. Everyone be aware of this bogus operation

Have been waiting since June, it’s now August, for our order to be complete. Received some of our order but still waiting for the rest. Booktopia do not respond to emails or messages. Trust in the website has gone. Please refund order 32047391 or send order ASAP.

Ordered book 1st of April still waiting – Placed an order on the 1st April. Notification from Booktopia stating book not in stock eta from supplier 10-15 business days. After waiting 4 weeks I emailed Booktopia with no response. The representative asked if I was happy to purchase the damaged book at a discounted price, I agreed depending on severity of damaged. Representative said she will call back - I’m still waiting for that call... Sent another 2 emails with no response. I know online & postal services are busy, but doesn’t excuse the lack of communication. David, can you please look into this matter? Order # 10868886.

I placed an order just over a month ago for a book. They apparently could not get it at the time. I still have not received it nor do I know the reason for the delay. This business seems to wait till you harass them before sending some books. They should not advertise that they are selling these books if they are not available

Ordered 2 books on 9 June. On 23 July after zero communication or updates about my order I enquired by email. could have purchased the books on Amazon (saw there was stock available) but they are now out of stock there as well.

Seems they are happy to take orders, but fulfilling them is not a priority.

Avoid this company.

Product arrived damaged. I emailed Booktopia straightaway but still no response days later. I used the online BOT but said customer service is not available. This is terrible service.
