Good quiet machine which washes well – This is my first front loader, after two top loaders. I was unsure about going front loader due to long cycle times and not being able to add more items just after the start of a wash. But the quick wash setting is great for lightly soiled clothes. It's even quicker than the old top loader. Variable spin speeds from 400 up to 1200rpm - I mainly use 800rpm for line drying. Bosch was chosen for its reputation and reliability, plus my earlier good experiences with Bosch kitchen appliances. However this particular model is not made in Germany. I also bought a stand to save bending down too low to fill/empty the machine.

Bought this 7kg machine over the more popular 6.5kg Bosch machine for a few reasons: 1) 7kg capacity 2) larger display, and 3) leak safety valve built into the inlet hose. Upon reflection, it is probably better to save ~$200 and go for the standard Bosch 6.5kg machine. But still happy with this one. Quiet - mostly. 4 stars for both electricity and water. Should be a good quality long lasting machine (time will tell) Spin can be noisy. A small amount of water always stays at the bottom of the rubber door seal - could lead to mould eventually.
