Just fine – I've had this printer for years (5?) and I've definitely got my dollars worth out of it. Although it took me a long time to get the right setting notes for university turn out great.
Jamming is a problem so you have to figure out a way to prevent this (printed pages sometimes get sucked back into the machine and jam it). I go through almost 1000 sheets per semester which costs me a set of colours and 2 black cartridges (and I always print in colour where possible), and the ink I get is really cheap online (about $35 for B+B+Y+C+M). Nowadays it's probably slow at printing. It's shaky but this doesn't seem to effect the outcome. Inexpensive, reliable (over time) Paper jams are common, slow at scanning
