Where is the USB? – NOT happy - I bought the printer the other day after being advised twice that it had a USB facility and that I could print just using USB connection. Took it home and opened the box and was suspicious straight away. Called Brother support. . . was advised that this is not a wireless printer. So I thought I would use it anyway and connect it to my computer/ lap top as it was all too late to return. Well!! There was no USB connection in the box and the booklet advised that in Australia and New Zealand this is not "available" - did this mean the facility was not available to use at all - I did not have a telephone connection and didn't want the fax facility? After rummaging around I found an unused USB. Followed all the prompts and connected the computer to the printer etc. - I am computer savvy - it would not load the connection. Thoroughly fed up, I am returning it to Officeworks to also complain about the offhand manner I was treated as a customer. I will, at considerable expense upgrade to wireless.

Customer service at Officeworks did not advise that there is no USB connection in the box or that I required one and especially did not advise that this is not a wireless printer . . .

NO USB

@Janet36: Not many network printers ship with USB cables these days. Two stars for Officeworks lack of product knowledge maybe but you cannot rate the product two stars just because you feel that you were mislead. If you write reviews in future it would be wise to not call yourself "computer savvy" when it is quite obvious you are far from it.

I definitely agree with @Janet36, being advised that the printer has a USB facility means you can connect via USB cable not that such cable is included :-(

I also feel this is a review of youyr interaction with OfficeWorks and really should be a review of that store and not a review of the printer seeing you could not intsal the printer and test it anyway.

Very inapropriate review and the rating is misleading and frankly am surprised that Product Review staff had it stay at all :-(

I found the same thing, absolutely crazy in this day and age. Also found the LCD display shocking to read, even when you wind up the contrast to max. Very disappointed & cant wait for it to break down so I can have an excuse to buy something else.

The box would have advised you that this is a network printer, not Wi-Fi, do your homework before buying, if you wanted a wireless printer ask the salesperson you want wireless, do not presume. As for the USB lead not being in the box it states on the Brother web site for this particular printer that the USB is not supplied, if in doubt .... ASK. Not a good review for this printer.
