An excellent light weight Pram – Our baby isn't due for another 2.5 month, however we have done a lot of research and looked at a lot of prams. A friend of ours has this model as well so we were able to get their feedback. After a lot of thinking we decided on a Combi Ricco W Pram. I've used a Maclaren Vogue before (for our 7 year old), which we don't have anymore. Originally, we were keen to replace it with a Maclaren Techno XT but decided on a Combi based on a couple of factors:
1. Ease of use. Being able to collapse the pram and open it up again single handedly is very useful. With the Maclaren, you have to bend over and push it to the ground in order to fully collapse it. In addition, with the Combi, the stroller remains standing when collapsed so there is no bending over or need to leave it on the ground (like in a dirty shopping centre parking lot, or when it has been raining) before putting it into the boot.
2. The pram is reversible so you can have your new baby facing you. This seems like a great idea!
3. Our Combi comes with some really nice padding which just seem to make it more comfortable than a Maclaren (just place your hand on the seat and backrest and press see what I mean).
4. The shade cover is massive and can almost encapsulate the entire pram. We envisage that this will be very useful for when baby is sleeping.
We ended up buying the Ricco W and we were so happy, I ended up putting a little teddy bear in the seat, strapping him in, and taking a picture of it! In 2.5 months we will be able to strap in the real thing! :) Lightweight, well made with lots of great features.
