Combi Ricco W

Lightweight but faulty – We loved this as it was lightweight and easy to fold and unfold but when in rear facing mode it is hard to steer and navigate. Even worse our two year old opened the front safety bar and it snapped. When we contacted combi for a repair or replacement they were going to charge us for it and couldn't even guarantee it wouldn't happen again. I… Read more
couldn't really believe a two year old could easily snap a safety bar.. For the price we paid for the stroller in the first place I would not expect this to be happening within the first few years. We were also out if the warranty period.
For babies, but not for big shopping sprees – I bought this 4 years ago mainly as a safe mobile sleeping spot for my baby. It is so light weight, compact with single hand collapse/open. Of course you will need both hands to adjust the handle and incline of the pram. The cushioning bits were nice. My version has a weight limit of up to 17kgs (from memory) and I guess I'm lucky that my child is… Read more
on the small and light weight side as well so that we were able to use it till recently, plus having one kid helps. I loved this pram whilst my kid was a baby and going out with it was very easy. The basket underneath is very small (in line with it's design), I found I could not put much inside the basket and to fully collapse the pram it has to be to empty.
This is not a shopping pram. If you hung the shopping on the pram handle and it weighed more than your child then you may tip child & pram. If you remove your child whilst your shopping is still hanging from pram handle and shopping weight > pram weight, the pram will tip. It's not a bulky pram and maneuvering thru shopping centres and stores is fantastic as it's narrow. It can pass thru a regular door way comfortably. Good news is that you won't be buying much, else grab a trolley and leave the pram.
As a traveling pram/stroller I cannot recommend it enough, especially taking it overseas and into fairly tight spaces. It is so light that a strong person (or two) can lift the pram + strapped kid over stairs.
However, after seeing the Combi Walker I wonder if the next size up may have been better for shopping and longevity. My 110cm tall kid cannot sleep in it anymore (her feet hit the wheels). There was this small slider at the end of my pram (switch between stroller and pram mode) and only if it was extendable by 20cm more I'd still be using it as a stroller on steroids.
Overall, I highly recommend this pram for use at baby stage, for traveling and those that pack light in general and can carry their baby bag. Also please note design may have changed since my purchase.
Loved it in the beginning, but now not so sure – We bought this stroller when our daughter was 5.5 months old because we went on a 5 week long road trip and couldn't fit our bigger pram in the car with all of the other stuff. We managed to get it for a reasonable price of $480. I wasn't keen on the colour (still not), but other than that I loved loved loved it. It was so much more compact when… Read more
folded, and was so easy to fold/unfold (with just one hand). It really suited us especially for travelling. The full recline meant that she could sleep in it, and the full sunshade was invaluable.
We had to be careful when hanging the nappy bag on the back because when the baby wasn't in the stroller it could tip as it's so light.
We actually found it fairly robust despite the fact that it actually feels a little flimsy.
We bought this pram to be the polar opposire of our other more robust pram which gets used for walking the dogs around the suburbs etc. This pram is our shopping, cafes etc pram and I love the fact that it is tiny and manouvres so easily through tight spots.
I find the basket practically useless. It doesn;t hold much, and whatever it does hold is hard to get in.
Now my daughter is 9.5 months and actually isn't comfortable in it. The way that the stroller is designed, she kind of slouches in the seat, and can't sit fully upright. It annoys the hell out of her, and she ends up struggling and whinging, and this is in the fully upright position. In addition to this the head area kind of starts to come forward, so she is slouching with her head stuck forward - not comfy. I'm at the point where we're going to have to look for another pram, which is a shame because I love everything else about this pram. But ultimately, if she's not comfortable and screams when in it there's no point in using it. - Very lightweight, easy to fold and unfold, adjustable handle height, full sun shade, full recline, reversible handle, compact -Expensive, baby slouches and is unconformable in it as it doesn't sit fully upright, small basket
An excellent light weight Pram – Our baby isn't due for another 2.5 month, however we have done a lot of research and looked at a lot of prams. A friend of ours has this model as well so we were able to get their feedback. After a lot of thinking we decided on a Combi Ricco W Pram. I've used a Maclaren Vogue before (for our 7 year old), which we don't have anymore. … Read more
Originally, we were keen to replace it with a Maclaren Techno XT but decided on a Combi based on a couple of factors:
1. Ease of use. Being able to collapse the pram and open it up again single handedly is very useful. With the Maclaren, you have to bend over and push it to the ground in order to fully collapse it. In addition, with the Combi, the stroller remains standing when collapsed so there is no bending over or need to leave it on the ground (like in a dirty shopping centre parking lot, or when it has been raining) before putting it into the boot.
2. The pram is reversible so you can have your new baby facing you. This seems like a great idea!
3. Our Combi comes with some really nice padding which just seem to make it more comfortable than a Maclaren (just place your hand on the seat and backrest and press see what I mean).
4. The shade cover is massive and can almost encapsulate the entire pram. We envisage that this will be very useful for when baby is sleeping.
We ended up buying the Ricco W and we were so happy, I ended up putting a little teddy bear in the seat, strapping him in, and taking a picture of it! In 2.5 months we will be able to strap in the real thing! :) Lightweight, well made with lots of great features.
Very well designed and made – I bought this stroller because it is small, light weight and the handle is low enough for me as im on the shorter side. iv been using it for 4 months now and my little one is 4 months :). she doesn't stay in it for long time but seems comfortable enough.wev been to the shops n on the streets, it goes easy on different surfaces. it is very compact,… Read more
easy to set up and fold down. very convenient in small places and so light that i have no trouble packing it away in the boot with one hand. i always have many people looking whenever i fold it down or unfold it and pull it along with one hand :). the stroller is very well made, not super sturdy but all parts operate smoothly and with ease. i love the baby facing mode - bub n i feel more secured, i can interact with her and she can still see the world. the padded seat/cover and the shock absorbing head rest are very soft and comfortable. the canopy is large enough for most situations. however, there're few points id like to make: because it is very light n the wheels run very smoothly, it can drift off on its own slowly on a smooth or inclined surface (even little bit) if you dont have the breaks on. also i personally think it is too exposed for babies. because it is now winter, it can be very windy and cold, i have to tuck lots of blankets in but then have to remove everything before i can fold it down, so its inconv. also the basket underneath is hard to get to n bit small,so even a small bunny rug is too bulky to be left in for folding down. overall its a great stroller for everyday use (more of an indoor stroller) and all the benefits outweigh the few downsides. im happy with my purchase :). Light weight, very portable, sets up n packs away easily.baby facing mode, Too exposed (not very gud for going out when its windy or cold or too sunny),small basket n difficult to get to,drifts off easily if not on break
Excellent, couldn't find any better – Purchased in February 2011 for 1st bub who is now 14months old. Was looking for a lightweight pram which can be folded with one hand and fits in our tiny Daewoo Matiz Boot. This Pram is brilliant on the train and buses as well, easy to manage due to it's very small size. The covers are very durable and fully washable.Reversible handle.Multi-recline… Read more
seat. Very small,Lightweight, seat lays flat, wide sun shade. Small storage basket. Not great for any non flat terrain(due to small wheel)
Super light and very portable – My wife and I spent weeks looking for a stroller. Finally, we decided to buy combi. The one we bought is very easy to use, open and store. It is a bit hard to believe how light it is, my wife has no trouble to use herself alone at all. This stroller can easily fit into our Honda Jazz. Pushing it around the crowded shops and supermarkets are… Read more
easy. We also like the design and look of the stroller, don't need much maintenance. Very light, easy to fold, reversible, not complicated, compact Slightly expensive
Compact and beautifully made pram – This is a very stylish and well made pram that reflects its Japanese design and engineering. The frame is very lightweight but robust, the fabrics and straps are very soft, the plastic parts have no sharp edges, the moving parts glide and click smoothly, and the compact size makes it's very practical for tight spaces like small cars, shopping… Read more
aisles and public transport. I've had friends and random people on the street commenting on how cute and compact it is. It's definitely a premium baby travel product at a fraction of the price of its European counterparts. Easy to switch reversible handle, compact size, light weight and stylish looks Reverse mode a bit hard to control but is not a big problem with some practice and tricks
Small yet versatile – We have not as yet used the pram (baby due in a few weeks) but the main reasons we purchased were: Lightweight Easy fold Maveuvarable Reversible handle The last couple of months we watched parents struggling around shopping centers with their massive prams and we decided we wanted something compact yet well built. We looked at a multitude… Read more
of prams but in the end we decided on the Ricco as it ticked all our requirements!
Have used it around the house (practice) and it is very easy to use...I still cannot get over how light it is! Lightweight, easy to open/close, easy to maneuver, reversible handle
Fabulous, lightweight pram – I am SO happy with the Ricco W stroller. I haven't come across any pram that is quite so easy to use, yet still with all the extras that you need in a decent stroller. I LOVE the fact that it is so light, in fact I think that is the best part. Other prams weigh three times as much and are harder to steer! I also love the reversible handle and the… Read more
full canopy, as well as the fact that you can pull the front bar aside if you need to. Overall I am extremely pleased with this product. Lightweight, easy to use, reversible handle
Light and Easy with all the functions you need!!! – I just received the delivery today and couldn't wait to get online and write my review. Initially I had always set my eyes on big stroller such as Bugaboo, then my mum came with me to the store and asked me: how are you going to manage to get this big thing up and down the stairs at your apartment?" then i realize the weight is the most important… Read more
thing. with Ricco W i can hold the baby with one hand and fold the stroller with the other hand and carry it downstairs all by myself without any help. Also it has the air ventilation system which is essential in a hot day. In winter i can get the baby to wear enough clothes and a blanked would do the trick, but summer, 3 degrees lower makes a lot of difference! which also brings to another great aspect of this stroller is that it had a huge canopy unlike other brand you had to get an extra umbrella!? what's more is that the price is very affordable, i got it online it also came with an extra liner of everything you need to change to wash! It's fantastic!
I absolutely love this stroller and i had already recommended it to every mum to be around me. it's worth every penny! Light weight, easy fold, inexpensive
Super light and great value for money – It's a well designed pram that comes with many essential features like reversible handle. And it's super light that even my wife is able to lift it up using one arm while holding our bub on the other ( it only weights 4.6kg, equivalent to my 15 inch laptop + charger+laptop bag, how amazing!) Well designed, ultra light, reversible handle, washable linen and etc
A Fantastic Product! – This is the very first pram that we have bought and undoubtedly the best choice ever! We go everywhere with it, as it stores nicely in our car in compact mode and believe it or not, fits in the back passenger seat standing! It's extremely lightweight compared to most other non-Combi products out there that we have tried in a variety of stores so… Read more
moving around with the stroller is incredibly convenient. We are overall satisfied with our purchase and would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a baby. Lightweight, compact mode, large canopy The only negative we found is that in reversible mode, steering might be a little challenging so we don't use it as the forward mode is good enough

Know better, choose better.
Awesome package stroller! Good value for money – We have a heavy duty pram and have been looking for a good quality stroller that can fit our hatchback car. Ricco W is the perfect choice for us! Lightweight, easy to use, great for cruising in the city. The instruction manual is very clear as well. Lightweight, compact but still feel sturdy.
This a very light weight and a easy to handle stroller – The combi Ricco W is very light weight(only 4.6 kg) and a compact stroller. I love the egg shock attachments that comes along which gives extra support to the young ones. The reverse handles is also a great feature.Very easy to open and close the stroller. The Active Grey color looks very pretty and the fabric is very soft as well. A perfect… Read more
stroller. light weight, adjustable height of the handle, very soft/smooth shoulder belt. very small storage basket
Smart Stroller – I like every aspect of this stroller. It's very convenient and compact, specially suitable for small built mum. First of all, the look of the stroller is very fancy, not like some other prams where you could only get black colour. The fabrics and cushion is very soft and my baby sit comfortably inside. This stroller is small enough to even fit… Read more
between the front seat and the back seat of my car, so I don't have to go to the back of the car to put the stroller in the boot. And if I do put it in the boot, I could stand it up vertically to leave space to put other stuff in the boot.
The self standing feature after folded is also another surprise to me as I didn't know it is such a useful feature before I purchase this stroller. I could fold and stand it up anywhere (eg in a resturarant) without the trouble to have to look for a wall or a corner to keep the folded stroller stable.
The light weight of this stroller is also important to me because after a few months of holding the baby at home, my hands get very sore, I can't imagine if I have to lift up a heavy stroller into my car.
Before we purchase this stroller, we were concerning whether we should get a stroller with big wheels so that it can run smoothly even on a very uneven surface. At the end we have decided 9 times out of 10 we will only be using this stroller in shopping centers or for sitting the baby in a restuarant or friend's place,it's not worse the hassle to take a bulky stroller everytime.
I would certainly recommend this stroller to any parents who wants a handy, good quality stroller. Light weight, one hand operation to fold the stroller, self standing, good quality material, fancy
The Ultimate Inner-City Pram – I walked into a baby-store and asked for the lightest, smallest pram they had with the condition that it had to have the option of a 'rear-facing mode' and a one-handed fold. This has all of those elements and fabulousness in spades. At an impressively small 4kg, this pram can be folded with a baby in one arm and easily carried up and down stairs… Read more
- particularly great if you travel by train often! It is small enough to negotiate the narrowest of shopping aisles and fits in te smallest boot. In fact, this pram fits standing-up in our tiny Terios boot and leaves us with half the space for the shopping; there are very few prams that can achieve that feat.
On the negative side: in reverse-mode one's feet hit the wheels but, with a pram this small, one can easily walk to the side. The lack of suspension means that even the smallest lump in the footpath can stop this pram in its tracks but this is a small issue for such a great pram. Reliable, light, easy to use, small, fabulous customer service Feet hit wheels in reverse-mode; no suspension
Traveller's dream – After having gone through 2 prams from birth both boasting dozens of features I find the Combi Ricco hard to beat. Being a frequent traveller and having to juggle sleepy baby & bags on the go, this stroller's lightweight and one hand fold is it's most useful and important feature. It's design in totality is well considered and perfect for city… Read more
living. The only slight drawback I face is having to be careful it doesn't rock too far sideways when my toddler is restless in it but I would recommend this stroller without hesitation to any new mother considering more expensive 'fancy' options. It is certainly high in value - both price and practicality. Lightweight, one hand fold, value for money May sway to the side if toddler is restless
Good – Highly recommended if you are not going to walk a lot on the streets. I usually use it at shopping centres & restaurants etc. it's perfect!! very light & easy to operate with one hand...smart design! The only down side is the inside of the pram is a bit small so big babies might have their feet sticking out & have to change to a bigger pram sooner… Read more
than usual but I'll still choose it coz it's very light & convenient compare to other prams. Lightweight, easy folding, easy seat adjustment, very good steering, reversible handle, small size is convenient indoor. Inside dimension is smaller than average prams. The pram is a bit small to fit in those universal rain covers but still works. Pricy. Not good on bumpy grounds. Storage basket is too small.
Good – I like this stroller a lot - if the cheaper combi with the bigger basket felt as good to use as this one I probably would have gone for that but in this case the loss of space was well compensated by the improvement in steering. If you're looking for a tank of a pram this isn't for you, but if you want a compact, light pram that doesn't feel too… Read more
flimsy this is a good choice. Stylish looks
Has a reverse mode for the crucial early months so you can see the baby
Very lightweight
Folds very easily with one hand - can hold your baby in your other arm - and stands up when folded
Excellent for public transport
Sunshade covers bubs entirely - no need to put blankets over the top Hard to steer when the handle is in reverse mode
Basket is a little small
Brake is hard to release if you are wearing open toed shoes
Excellent – This stroller was a lifesaver for us. We have no car and were living near a train station without a lift. This stroller was light enough to be easily managed up and down stairs. It is also excellent for taking into cafes and shops as it is quite small. It has full recline, so it is good from a young age. It is easy to steer one handed with a… Read more
shopping basket in the other hand. It folds really easily. I never had any regrets with this stroller. Very Light, small, good sun cover, fully reclines, easy fold, zip on basket, Doesn't steer well in reverse position.
The shoulder straps are quite low, so my son was big for it after 12 months. But it has rings for a universal harness which would solve that problem.
Expensive
