This Dehumidifier is a good one – I searched all over town and no appliance store had a dehumidifier. I can only draw the conclusion that people are put off this product because it doesnt blow cold air. I think the Delonghi CFO8M is great. It is compact, stylish, quiet and it does the job it is supposed to do. Buyers should check the wattage of the product against electricity costs to determine running costs, which is easy enough to do these days. I believe the power rating is about 400watt. I ordered my Delonghi CFO8M on-line and had it in my unit within 3days.

Note: Since this review was written, more air conditioners with a dry cycle have become available. Sometimes an air conditioner running on dry cycle will do the trick, but they don't have the advantage of being able to move them around to damp areas. As an added bonus, electronic temperature/humidity meters are fairly accurate these days and can help to get the air quality right around the home. I bought mine from Jaycar. I live in humid north queensland and I use a delongi CFO8M dehumidifier with my air conditioners for better climate control. It blows slightly warm air but my air conditioners can cover that and in return I get better humidity control. I measure the results with a temperature/humidity meter and in a small 2bedroom unit I can keep the humidity between 40% and 60%. I like everything about this product.
