Much quieter than I thought it would be – Easy to use/set up. It is happily extracting moisture from the air and surrounds of the downstairs part of my house (in its first hour there is more than half a litre in the tank). Amazed at how quiet it is! So far so good! Have been told they are not too power hungry so will see what the next power bill looks like. Compact, light enough to move about easily, easy to empty tank, and sooo quiet.

We purchased a dehumidifier some 7 years ago and used it whenever we had considerable rainfall and the air smelt like mildew or musty. We live on the edge of a rainforest and by the ocean. The unit did a great job and we know we paid too much for it but the results were better than expected. The problem over time was we had three malfunctions with the unit and had to return it to the retailer for repair and each repair was expensive. The last repair was quoted at the same price we could purchase a brand new DeLonghi unit of the same size so we advised the original supplier to dump the unit in his bin as for the cost of delivery we get a new unit with 2 years warranty. Yes the unit was a bit noisy so we only used it in daytime but it was effective and we are buying another but at a respectable price. The need to shop around is important to get value for money. We are wiser this time around.
