What a disappointment – I was very keen on this product. Until I received one as a present for my birthday. What a disappointment! Having read all the instructions and experimented with the samples provided we could not make a coffee that was not bitter. One hundred dollars worth of more coffee in the form of a club offer and still no coffee that was not bitter. Into the Nespresso store and an expert making us a range of coffee. All bitter, it must be us. However discussing Nespresso with other owners and surprise surprise they too have bitter coffer to the point that they are using other manufacturers coffee or drowning their coffee in milk, sugar or water to lessen the bitterness. Another worrying issue arose several users were complaining of upset stomach after drinking Nespresso coffee.

I still like the concept however the coffee is totally unsatisfactory and the search continues for a satisfying drink.

Is the problem a cultural issue? I do not know Easy to use For my taste undrinkable, And causes stomach upset.

It could be cultural, me I'm my wife are Venezuelan and we love it. I still think is better to make the coffee the way we have always done it and add some froth using a milk frother.

I've had my machine 6 months and never had a problem. Perfect latte each and every time.

Bottom line is the 1 star rating is related to your coffee taste, nothing to do with the machine.
